I feel like this may be the longest review ever written, but this Company deserves every accolade possible. They were the best I have EVER had and believe me, I am somewhat of an expert, having moved probably 50 times. Angel and Chris were right on time, and they were what I could only call AMAZING. They were calm, professional, easy with me - ( I was still packing when they arrived ) They took kid-gloves care of every stick of my furniture, most of which are antiques. They bounded up and down two flights of stairs and made great use of time. They packed my UHaul like consummate professionals, and made it all fit like a puzzle. I could have used the larger truck, but they made it all work like it was no big deal. They followed us to our unloading destination 25 miles away and unloaded just as perfectly and professionally as they loaded. It was really a sight to behold!!! And let's not forget Chantelle in the office. She was so thorough, kind, and calm - actually understanding what I was going thru with this move... She talked me through it with gentle kindness from my first call to my last. I probably treated her like she was my therapist, and she didn't mind one bit. She UNDERSTANDS how tough this stuff can be. She takes the TIME to work with people, no matter their level of distress and confusion. And last but certainly not least; pricing. They are the most reasonable out there, hands down. I had a two pronged move, (load and unload) and they traveled 25 miles - from Del Mar to Coronado. As a comparison, my last movers took me 9 blocks, and load and unload cost the SAME. Unreal. No reason to go anywhere else but Speed Loaders, ever! They bring 100% - In every area of the experience. If ever I have the opportunity to recommend a moving company or need to use one again, (Heaven forbid!) Speed Loaders are my guys, all the way. I can't possibly say enough about them, but I will recommend them to everyone I know that moves - and I live in a Military Community :) - and shout their praises from the rooftops. Do not recommend. I would not hire this company again and I strongly advise against using them through HireAHelper. They arrived 2.5 hours late, despite a confirmed start time. I was told four movers would be assigned, but only three showed up. From the start, I clearly explained which items were fragile and needed to be wrapped and secured carefully. Despite this, I repeatedly caught them loading furniture without any wrapping or protection. One of my expensive tables was dropped because a mover attempted to lift it alone instead of asking for help. Another mover was about to load the table legs into the truck without wrapping them at all, and I had to intervene and ask another worker to correct it. The entire process felt careless and disorganized. To make matters worse, after loading the truck, they left items behind. Please see the text message screenshot in this review where I asked them to return and load them intro the truck. I called Speed loaders the next day to get them to come back and the lady wouldn't pick up my phone. I had to go through HireAHelper and they wouldn't guarantee that they would return and wouldn't help in any way. They also charged me incorrectly for time. When I questioned it, I was told it would "be rounded up anyway," which felt dishonest and unprofessional. When my belongings arrived at my new destination, the movers I hired there were shocked by how poorly everything had been packed and loaded. Fragile and high-value items were not protected, were loaded last, stacked improperly, and placed without regard for weight distribution. As a result, I discovered significant damage upon unloading, including shattered mirrors, broken marble furniture, a completely destroyed TV screen, bent metal furniture, and damage to a new bicycle. Several items were beyond repair, and others require professional restoration. The aftermath has been exhausting and costly. I lost expensive furniture, spent significant time documenting damage, and incurred serious financial loss. Despite nearly $5,000 in damages, HireAHelper and SpeedLoaders are offering only $193 in reimbursement. Overall, this was a stressful and unacceptable experience from start to finish. I will be pursuing further legal action to seek proper reimbursement, and I strongly encourage others to look elsewhere. read more

They did a great job with moving all the requested furniture. They wrapped fantastic. The only issue I have is that you need to watch them. I had two Ring Cameras sitting on the floor that are missing. Later that day, I got an email the stated someone was trying to activate one of the ring cameras on an account. I was asked if I gave that camera away. These two movers were the only ones in the condo unsupervised. Just keep an eye when they are working. I figured whoever took the cameras needed it more then I did and these cameras are now we useless. 1/30/2024 Update on this service, Star rating lowered, The owner contacted me and stated the cameras were taken in error. After reviewing the video, it clearly shows the owner removing and disconnecting the camera. They state the cameras accidentally ended up in their tool bag. These cameras were in two locations in the house and clearly were there monitoring activities. The owner stated that there was a misunderstanding and they clearly have no idea how they got in their tool bag. I am sorry, I have to call them out on this. They knew what they were doing, They stole my two RING cameras and then tried to activate them on their own account. The company does not take responsibility for their own actions and I will not recommend speed loaders. Yes, the owner is shipping the cameras back but the action of taking them from the house without permission cannot be forgiven. They are thieves and you should not hire them. Today, I had the most horrible experience using this company, that was sent to me as a sub contractor for loading a container to be sent overseas. The moving coordinator neglected to tell me I was supposed to provide blankets and covers. They came with nothing. Damaged personal property, and caused numerous damages to the place I am renting, and I will have to vacate the first of next month. The were slow, and lazy. One bin particular. First thing he did when they arrived was to plug in his phone, and started texting. His phone kept going off all day. They kept taking breaks, and when I complained about the damages, their quality assurance guy showed up, and they stopped working, and started arguing with me for the damages they caused . Repairs to the damages were never made!!!!! According to the manager here a person was in contact with me to make the repairs! A person did in fact call, and said, " I will be at your house in 20 minuets to fix the damages". I responded that we cannot a range for the repairs in such short notice, since I had already another moving crew working in the house at that time. The person agree to call back and schedule time for yesterday Thursday, March 28 for the afternoon. They NEVER called or came to fix the damages. Was highly impressed at how well they packed our things and thought the two gentlemen that packed and wrapped our furniture did a great job. When we finished all our packing for the day we went to look for our Ring cameras to reconnect them. My brother posted a review to hire a helper.com stating the two gentlemen were the only two left unsupervised in our parents home. Shortly after leaving the review he gets a return message that states: "We are so sorry. This was an error. They were found in or near our toolbox. No body question it. I have both cameras. Prentis is reaching out to get them back to you." After seeing this I checked the camera history where it clearly shows one of the movers disconnecting it after stating this is sweet, rolls up the cord as the camera is still rolling then disconnects it. How is a camera left by or in a tool bag when there is clear evidence of your mover disconnecting it on camera. Not to mention the second camera was in a box in a separate room. So now they are sending the cameras back to my brother but continue to lie about how they got them and taking zero accountability!! Not to mention placing the blame on us because we were giving things away. How do we as a customer come back from this with a feeling of security that nothing else was stolen that we just are not aware of at this point. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE and if you hire them watch them at all times. In response to business owners response: it is of little comfort as I am the customer as well my brother and myself paid for your movers to come into our parents home. I truly have a hard time understanding why you cannot take responsibility. Stuff that was being given away was stuff OUTSIDE the house and it was large furniture not cameras that were packed and still connected. HIRE AT YOUR OWN RISK On 1/26/24 two movers from speed loaders came to an Oceanside CA. residence, were there for approx. 2 hours we had thought they both did a phenomenal job until we discovered they had decided to help themselves to two ring cameras located inside the home. One camera was already disconnected in the living room placed in a box with other items, the other camera located in the kitchen was disconnected by one of the movers (we have footage) both cameras were noticed missing a few hours after the movers left. Upon checking on the ring app it was noticed that one of the cameras had tried to be connected. That same day, a review for the company was left on hireahelper.com regarding the cameras, the company had replied, The company took zero responsibility in the reply to the review saying it was "an error" and they were "found in or near their toolbox" then said "no one questioned it" as in blaming us for their employee(s) stealing the cameras. When we spoke to one of the movers via phone that was at our residence, he completely denied at first but then stated "the other guy I was with took them" which contradicts the response received from the review. The cameras are now being sent back to us however this incident should have never happened, we paid for people to come into our home only for them to steal items they were meant to pack. The cameras being returned is of little comfort as the trust is now broken and we are waiting for the shipping containers to arrive to see if anything else has been stolen. The companies website www.speedloaders-movinglabor.com/ is non existent however movinglabor.com is accessible and it states on their website under license-insurance that "MovingLabor.com will only approve a moving company that has met our requirements and passed our screening process." and "The mover has passed a thorough background check conducted by our trusted vendor. Our background check includes these databases: Sex offender Global watchlist (terrorism) National criminal database (includes felony and misdemeanor) Address history SSN verification County criminal check (based on their current county of residence)." Neither of the two movers at our residence that day should be allowed in people's homes to do this again. read more

We hired this supposed "professional" packing company to pack our home for a cross country move. Believing them to be what they claimed we assumed that our belongings where being carefully packed, not the case. Upon unpacking we discovered that many of our most delicate items ( big screen TV and leather sectional sofa) where virtually unprotected and as a result heavily damaged or ruined. Upon filing a claim with them the response was that their liability ended when the truck door closed and that a waiver to that end had been signed. This matter will now be litigated. The 4 guys that came were great, they were on time and got the job done fast. The only problem was a misunderstanding on the cost, when I called my phone call was handed off to one of the movers who was helping out in the office and didn't know the extra costs for same day or out of the county moves, and when they showed up the cost was 50% more than what we had told me. 3 hour minimum instead of 2. But after I put that on my initial review, they refunded the extra cost and contacted me to let me know. I was a little upset the day of the move after they left because of the extra cost, but it was a misunderstanding that was resolved quickly. Two movers from Speed Loaders helped me move from a three bedroom house to a one bedroom apartment on February 8, 2014. The two movers were TJ and another guy who's name I do not recall at this time. The movers were polite, and worked hard. I originally booked time for three hours, the move took 5 hours and they were able to accommodate it. At the end of the move, it became clear that my laptop was stolen, in it's case, with the cords, mouse, and accessories. I called Speed Loaders and spoke to Chantell, who said that they do background checks and that this has never happened before and I needed to file a police report. On February 18, 2014 TJ called me. I was very upset that he got my phone number. Very rude on the phone saying that he could not have stolen it because I was with him. Very unprofessional to have one of the suspected thieves call me at my personal number rather than management call me. Was told file a police report and they would take lie detector tests. Police said that since I did not see which one took it, there was nothing that they could do. I am now out the cost of a laptop that was less than 2 months old, a brand new Internet Security disc, ethernet cable, wireless mouse, and mouse pad. Let me start by saying I've never hired speed loaders, BUT, they leave their business cards everywhere! On residences front doors, on people's car windows, littering parking lots, etc. It's irritating and irresponsible. I have to pick them up off the ground in my parking lot at least once a month, and for this reason, I'll never consider using their business. These people are great! I had a 14' trailer FULL to the brim and a house needing to be loaded... Chris and Will showed up a few minutes early; immediately understood what needed to be unloaded to where and what needed to be loaded onto the trailer. The formulated (in their minds) a plan to move/remove items from within the house/trailer and set out to accomplish it. It took about 2 hours to completely unload and reload the trailer including placing the incoming furniture exactly where my wife wanted it AND professionally wrapping and securing things into the trailer. Well they were fast alright. When we made it to our destination we could not find the box with the nuts, bolts, legs to put, (what was left) of our furniture back together. When I called them 4 times about it I kept getting the run around, first I was told they were tapped to the object they came from, then I was told they didn't know who did the job, (lets try the owners son was on the job and started the box), When I finally called Hire a Helper they said they handed the box to me. LIARS!!! Boxes marked breakable glasses, plates, china, were smashed down, broken open. some of the china and glass wear made it but a lot didn't. We were told to go and get some more blankets so they could protect the furniture and other breakables. When we unloaded furniture was deeply scratched, legs were broken, an antique wood elephant had a big chunk taken out of my antique wood elephant. Even my one year old mattress has holes in it. I am so mad, even the guys from Odds and Ends who unloaded the stuff at my new house were shocked at the shoddy work. Used them at your own risk. read more

I was concerned about paying by the hour because I have heard horror stories about guys taking their time to increase the bottom line. I do moving in the LA area but needed an assistant in San Diego for a small job for one of our LA clients. Right off, I got great service over the phone from Speed Loaders. On the move date, Gabriel met me at the job site. He had been in the moving business for 14 years. It showed. He was great - fast, careful, hard-working but adaptive ( each company has their tricks and methods they like to follow). We loaded a van and a 12ft trailer at two locations, including navigating stairs and tricky turns with a heavy treadmill. No damages and all done within 2 hours. Shantal and her crew did a fabulous job moving 3 rooms of furniture into a POD for us on short notice. Gabriel & Dwayne were prepared with tools & dollies to pack our piano, heavy antique side board and 2 large dining sets into the POD on or sloped driveway for a remodel. They called ahead to let us know there were slightly delayed. Shantal called ahead of time to let us know and provided useful information for us to prep for their service - and to be sure we knew how to get in touch with her if there were any problem. No problems. The guys were energetic and efficient with their time and finished in less than 2 hours. Even stretch wrapped our upholstered furniture for us - since I couldn't figure out how to make it work. I plan to use them again to help up unload when our remodel is done in a few weeks. read more

I had to move from a place I lived 15 years because my rent was increased 30% and I was freaking out about moving but Speed Loaders were like angels. Shantelle put me at ease and she set me up with their logistics guy I don't remember his name but he was fantastic he helped me figure out what size truck I needed and packing materials I would need. Alex and Charles met me at the U-Haul and Alex drove the truck so I didn't have to. They were both super nice and fast and efficient and Charles having lived in San Diego for a long time was able to tell me all the places to get food and whatever I might need. Loved my experience with Speed Loaders. Shantelle, who helps coordinate your move, made the whole thing as easy as possible. She was able to get my preferred time on a date that I knew would be busy and checked in on me with my move to make sure everything was going as planned. Our movers, Angel and Fernando, were awesome. They were upbeat and really took care of our stuff. They did an amazing job of loading our U-haul and were able to park it in a way that was close to our apartment complex while not putting it in a spot that would interrupt traffic or put anyone in harms way. They did a great job of unloading our stuff into our new apartment and helped make another trip to a storage unit where we had to unload the rest of our items. Speed Loaders is AWESOME! They were professional, and only had one days notice..and they were able to work on a Sunday...the only day I could make this move. I called on Saturday and asked for an 11:00 appointment on Sunday. Then I needed them earlier and they arrived at the time I needed them. They packed up and moved a big heavy concrete table, when others said no. They really helped me when I could not get the job done myself. I could not have made this move without their help. They wrapped my concrete table with the utmost care and everything arrived in perfect condition. They even gave me a blanket and tow strap to ensure that my stuff was wrapped securely.
