I called Aid-U Moving Company last week in the morning at 9 a. m. and I talked to Adrian who's the manager for the Aid-U Moving Company. This excellent review on Aid-U Moving Company is on my phone conversation with Adrian and my texting conversation on Yelp Projects with Emily. The (first place) that I called was Aid-U Moving Company to ask for a Free Quote on "How much will it cost me to move my personal things?" This is a list of my personal items that I need to pack up in boxes and move to another place. These items are as follows: The wardrobe (clothes), shoes, light furniture which will be 2 Computer wooden tables, my Dell Computer, Keyboard and HP All in One Printer, 2 table lamps, 2 dressers, 2 night stands, one single bed, shoes, one digital electric clock, 6 handbags, and 6 plastic filing boxes for storage. I asked Adrian to give me the total cost of me having to move my personal things from my mom's house into a (one bedroom studio apartment) or a (2 bedroom apartment) in Oceanside, CA? Adrian told me their Moving Company does not provide these packing boxes to the customer. I will have to go to Home Depot and buy these 24 Packing Cardboard Boxes with clear packing tape. Adrian said their Aid-U Moving Company does provide a truck that looks like a U-Haul Truck. I will have to call back on the cost of renting out this truck. Adrian this manager he told me I will have to pay a $100 deposit when I call him up and I set up a specific move date with him from my mother's house to a specific apartment that I will be unloading my things in Oceanside, CA. but Adrian told me I will get that $100 deposit refunded back to me. Adrian said the price is determined by the weight of my items I am moving out of my mom's house and also the price is calculated by the quantity. Adrian quoted me the price of $159.00 for a one bedroom space this price is for a local move to Oceanside, CA. I also received a text message from Emily this morning on the Yelp Projects on my Yelp Profile Page Account when I checked my messages Emily's message who works for Aid-U Moving Company. Emily asked me do I know the exact date I will be moving into a new one bedroom studio apartment? I said NO, I don't know yet because I have to do a search on apartments for rent.com this is a website that has listings of all kinds of apartments in different cities with their rent prices. Anytime I have to make a move it is always very stressful for me. I talked to Emily she was very nice and I explained the situation to her and I told her the rent just for a One Bedroom (Studio) Apartment is $2,150.00 the square footage is very small like 900 square feet that rent is overpriced. Emily told me that she understands what I am going through in me trying to find an affordable place to live in Oceanside, CA. Emily said she will give me Discount and give me 5 percent off the $159.00. I told her Thank you and I will call her after I find an affordable place to rent out in Oceanside, CA. I told Emily I will give her my business. Emily was very grateful. I received excellent customer service from Adrian and from Emily. This review will be updated after I find an affordable apartment to live in Oceanside, CA. I will hire the Aid-U Moving Company. read more

This is our fourth move with Aid-U. The crew, like always, was communicative, reliable, and friendly. They took care in packing our belongings and loaded the truck like pros. This time, we hired Aid-U for a full pack in addition to our move. The pack took a little longer than we hoped and meant the crew needed to deliver our belongings to storage the following morning instead of doing it all in a day as planned. They were able to accommodate the adjustment without any issues. They are on the pricier side, but we've had enough poor experiences with other movers that it was well worth it. They made boxes and blankets available for purchase which worked well for our last minute move. For future moves, even if they're packing, we plan to buy the boxes ourselves. Their prices for materials aren't egregious, but you can find them elsewhere for less. read more

Strongly against using these guys. Final cost was twice the quote. What was previously a 3hr job with a different moving company when I had moved into my place turned into a 5hr job with these guys. Plus they charged extra to use moving blankets, of which they used to wrap EVERYTHING. They left scratches on my walls and damaged base board. Lastly, they took nearly an hour after the move to sort out the final bill. When I had a bit of an emergency, these folks were able to fit in an afternoon move next day. I was quoted $149/hr for a two man crew, three hour minimum, plus $50 gas. A little higher than average but I was willing to pay it to not have to put up with the moving nightmares you sometimes see. Aaron and Eduardo showed up close to our set time and got right to work. Aaron took the lead and quickly listened and understood what I needed. He was friendly and professional and kept communicating well at every step. When we had hiccups on my end, they were flexible and kept going to get the job done. Everything was positioned how I wanted it at the end, and I was happy with the result! What can I say other than...these guys are AWESOME! We had a gigantic china hutch that needed to be moved, and usually we handle moving ourselves. This was a bit more than we could handle with just the two of us, so we called Carlsbad Moving Aid-U. Not only were they available on a Sunday within a few hours, but they also gave us a reasonable quote for only utilizing them to move one piece of furniture. All of the other companies said they'd have to charge a minimum of 3 hours. Not these guys. They took our situation into account and gave us a reasonable price. They communicated exactly what, when and how much very clearly through text, the foreman Shaun contacted us 30 minutes prior to arrival, he was on time, and he and his coworker Leo moved our hutch without any issues. They wrapped it perfectly, were super careful to place it gently where we wanted it, and were no muss no fuss, in and out. Thanks so much for making our job easier, guys! Do not use this company!! We are renters who's landlord hired this company to move us ten minutes away from where we lived.We have never had movers or movers that pack your belongings before. The men they sent were nice men however with that being said they had zero experience in their job. The first day they packed us and the second day they moved our belongings. After they left the night they moved our things. We realized the true damage they caused. It was 8pm at night when they finished so we didn't recognize any damages until the next day. First of all they broke some our things they packed because they loaded the truck like armatures. When they were unloading the boxes from the truck, a stack fell inside the truck. They lost my sons hardware to his bed and therefore having to buy our son a new bed frame. They never taped any of the hardware to the bed. They never put mattress covers on our mattresses. We have huge black stains all over our mattress from them dragging the bed around. They used hanger boxes for our clothes, but they took all our clothes off hangers, threw them in the boxes with the hangers on top of the clothes. Why use hangers boxes if your not hanging the clothes? We had dishes in the dishwasher caddy of the old place, they actually instead of taking the silverware out of the dishwasher caddy packed the whole caddy even though the dishwasher was not coming with us. Total disregard for our belongings. No organization what's so ever. Nothing really labeled. They broke the cement wall to our new place when they were backing into our new place. Lastly they took our brand new dolly and replaced it with their broken dolly that had popped tires. The girl Emily, who claims to be dealing with our claim hasn't gotten back to us in almost a month. This company is a shady company, who hires thugs to move your personal belongings. I will never use this company or recommend this company. A good company would have taken this matter seriously but it's obvious by their lack of response to our claims they don't care about their customers. Setting up the reservation was quick and easy online, I received immediate text alerts about my move, added info online, made a $100 deposit, and I was done. They arrived promptly at 815a and immediately started moving, wrapping, and taking apart everything. Do yourself a favor and pay a little more to go with a better company. I hired them to move me from my apartment into a condo that was less than a mile away. Everything was already packed in boxes ready to go. All they had to do was load the heavy furniture (1 TV, a sectional, 2 nightstands, & mattress) and take apart my bed frame. My biggest issue i had is that it was raining when I moved and they had nothing to put down on the floors. My apartment had hardwood floors so I could clean it up but they left my floors filthy! I was more concerned about my condo that had brand new cream color carpet. I asked them to put something on the floor and they didn't have anything. They ended up putting down some wet blankets they used to cover my furniture so my new carpet was left super dirty. Not only that but they only had a couple blankets, so to avoid further damage to my floors I ended up having them leave the items by the door and carrying them in myself!!! They offered to wrap my furniture which was great but failed to mention it came at an additional cost per roll. It would've been fine but they poorly wrapped my items so not only did I pay more they still got soaked. They also took a detour on their way from my apartment to my condo. I know this because I followed right behind them and saw them go another way. I moved less than a mile away yet they took over 15 minutes to get to my new place. They charge extra if you go over the allotted time so that was annoying considering the distance and how small the place is it should've been a quick move. The set up process online was easy and straight forward and before we knew it our movers were scheduled. The movers arrived on time (around 9am) and called us beforehand. I have to say that moving is a stressful and terrible thing and the three boys that came (Tyrese, randy, tony) had THE BEST attitude and we're so great to work with. Ryan and his crew really got things out and in really quickly, professionally and with minimal damage to none with our belongings. they were pretty clear with what to do and what not to do and made sure our things would be safe. They may be a little bit pricy with the extra charges so that put us down to 4 stars. Take note they have a cost difference for work after 6pm so make sure to get your things together beforehand.
