Then on the second ride on the new motor, the rear hubshell gave out while on remote trail. I only had to push my bike uphill, everything else worked and I could coast on the downhill sections. If you know,... a new hubshell is equal to, just get a whole new wheel. The crew know me, I'm a disabled veteran on a fixed income. Mountain biking helps with the PTSD. Anyway, they are getting me the best price they can, and one mechanic will donate his time to complete the repair. They are a great group of people and really look out for us veterans. While my bike is in the shop, they are loaning me a bike to ride with the @veteransmtb (instagram) group of US Veterans on 3/21. THANK YOU SCCS.

I had four occasions that my chain would detached while riding, sometimes at night & in the middle of know where, & once during the day which was more doable. However, the fact that it happened time & time again was absolutely ridiculous & flustering beyond belief. Now this is where it gets good for a five star review! Eric was the man & among others who fixed my bike, yet James was the man who was on top of it all! I seriously appreciate his communication, trail & errors with fixing the bike, maxing out each idea to figure out what the heck is going on with my bikes chain. He ended up change my chain to a new one, changed the gears, which both were like butter after they worked on it! LOVED THE NEW DRIVE OF SWITCHING GEARS. He also changed out another mechanism & don't recall the name of it. Nonetheless, my bike rides even better than when I first bought it & cannot thank Eric & James for their work ethic & costing me zero dollars, because of the warranty. Nevermore, I hope Specialized reimburse the business since they had many faults with their products. Not sure the brands they used on my bike, but I am a HAPPY CAMPER now! Totally understandable but a center has a slightly better plan and that they will accept bikes that are electric just you have to take the battery out of it before you leave it with them. Too many problems with lithium ion batteries, exploding you know? We live in a very mountain bike, happy town here and one of the places that will fix your bike after you wreck it by bombing down Wilder through postboxes and Engleman's loop is a center cycling. They are often backlogged because people wreck the ride and drop them off here. In my experience as of summer 2025 it was about a 10 day wait to get the bike back but my repairs for damaged brakes was under $100 and that seemed reasonable. We also have a sister store over near Ni Marks, which is another great bicycling area the demonstration Forest.

It was a double birthday celebration for myself and my girlfriend and also our third anniversary so I want to do something that we both love. She loves outdoor, I love mountain biking. Dave picked us up on his new shuttle bus from the bike store. He was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us a guided tour around the town as he driving up to our drop off point. The drive was about an hour long and very scenic. Dave was very friendly and funny. Dave gave us a printed map of the trail and gave us pointers for our ride down back to our car at the bike store. The ride down was gorgeous. It was our first time riding through the Redwood forest and it was magnificent. Unfortunately, one of my pedal broke off about 1 mile into the trail. Uphill was a struggle since I had to walk my bike, but coasting down was so much fun. I will definitely plan another trip to ride the Redwood forest again, this time with more people and hopefully no equipment malfunction
