I purchased a catback exhaust for what was supposed to be a reputable shop for my Audi. Took them a couple of months to ship it out (I was told it was "made to order")...ok cool, no big deal. The package is finally delivered and I'm excited to install it...just to find out a few issues, which ended up wasting my whole day with me trying to figure out if I was missing something or if it was the actual exhaust. I'd like to think I am fairly mechanic-savvy and the only time I take my car to the shop is for things I don't have tools for, or the more complicated work. A catback install is not "complex" work...you unbolt the factory one, take them off the hangers, then you bolt on the new one. Unfortunately, that wasn't the story for my fairly expensive catback. I was adviced to purchase "adapters" that bolts on to the factory downpipes then to the new catback...adapters I purchased from the same shop where I bought the catback from. The adapters slips into the downpipes, but the other end is the exact same diameter as the mid pipe...ok so maybe I just need to get an exhaust pipe expander tool to do it...nope, that didn't fix the issue. I wasted a whole day trying to figure it out, almost to a point I started thinking I am either a dumbass for not figuring out how to install these exhaust pipes, or there is definitely something wrong with the kit that was sent to me. I decided to call it quits and look up muffler shops in my area...enter Speedee Mufflers III. Joe is one awesome fella. Even with Covid restrictions he helped me out and fixed the issue for me...he confirmed that the adapter flange does not bolt into the exhaust midpipe and they had to re-weld a small piece to it to make everything work. I watched as they made sure everything was lined up correctly and installed properly. I am so glad I went to them and extremely grateful for their work. They do great work and you won't be disappointed. I'm still pissed off with the shop I bought the exhaust from...for a fairly expensive exhaust, you would think they'd provide you with the correct parts..and even with COVID restrictions you gotta stay professional and still get the job done, no excuse. read more

Shout out to boy JOE for putting my Honda back to life, recently I got really disappointed of Hayward because some sawed my catalytic converter. My Honda was sounding like a straight motorcycle, or a 5.0 with a straight pipe! Shout out to my boy JIMMY GIL , for putting me on with JOE . Excuses are made over and over again? but when it comes down to it there are many others who also made the same complaint and experienced the same. Show up to a CLOSED shop. I know what is priority.I work 6 days a week, 60+ hours and never flake on my appointments, and if I have to cancel I always make sure that the person(s) knows in advance before the day of. If you want a performance or oem sounding exhaust, in 30 minutes....you should go to Livermore Mufflers. Family run for over 20 years..Worth the drive and he will always take care of the customer first, not blow it off like it's a joke and try to take advantage of customers. This is long over do, but I have to give a big shout out to Speedee Muffers III. My catalytic converter was stolen off my 2006 Kia Sportage back in October. As everyone knows this is a huge problem everywhere these days, and also very costly. I reached out to Speedee Mufflers III, and it was an awesome experience. They were very informational, and honest. They handle my insurance claim with ease. No fault to them, the parts took forever because of COVID, and being shipped by boat from over seas. They kept on top of things by making numerous calls to the dealership, then reporting back to me. Once my parts made it here, the installation took only a couple of hours, and I was back on the road. Took my E550 there for an X-pipe and resonator delete. He is an awesome guy, fast service and reasonable cost...What more can you ask for! I called to ask him about details on the X pipe that he uses and then he sent me a few pictures of the X-pipe installed. His welds had good beads and his work is very neat. I called asking if they do exhaust work on lowered cars and was told they could. Every other place I called or visited rejected me because my car was too low. I brought in my BMW E46 330Ci for an exhaust installation Tuesday around noon. Later that day I was informed that 4 flange bolts were rusted out and that I had to leave my car overnight for their penetrating fluid to work on loosening up the rusted bolts. A little upset, I knew that I couldn't rush them if I wanted a job well done. The next morning, I was updated that the bolts still weren't budging, so they had to cut off the old rusted bolts and replace them. I got my car back in the afternoon and they helped put my old exhaust in my girlfriend's dad's SUV. I appreciate the great customer service they provided and the willingness to work on my car when no one else even wanted to try. I'll be a returning customer for any other exhaust work I'd need done in the future. read more

Fantastic work. I came in with a challenge - to install a complete 3" exhaust system in a '57 Chevy and navigate a very busy (4-link) rear suspension. Joe took on the task personally, ordering the mandrel bent tubing, welding, securing the new system and making sure I could drop sections, should I ever need to access the transmission for repair. I dropped it off mid day and it was ready the next day just like Joe said. I drove it 150 miles to clear the computer monitors and it passed smog.
