In July, I scheduled an oil change and engine flush, which he claimed to have completed along with topping off fluids. At the end of August, my vehicle broke down -- the serpentine belt snapped, punctured the front axle, and broke the coolant hose. I paid him $900 to replace the alternator and belt. He then quoted me another $500 to repair the axle and coolant hose (about $200 in parts, with $300 in labor). However, he only replaced the alternator and belt before disappearing, saying he would not be able to return until he sorted out his new work schedule. After a brief apology by text, he stopped responding entirely. I had no choice but to take my vehicle to another mechanic, where I paid an additional $900. The second mechanic confirmed that the oil change and engine flush I had paid for in July were never done, which is why the car broke down originally. The serpentine belt installed was too tight as well. The new shop also properly repaired the axle and coolant hose. Overall, I was left out of pocket significantly more than necessary, with incomplete work, misrepresented services, and a lack of reliability.

Had to call Roadside Assistance to jump it so I could get to O'Reilly's Auto Parts for a new battery before they closed. They said it was the alternator not the battery. Contacted DFW Mobile Repair and Hamm responded immediately with a price quote to fix it. Set up the appointment for mid-afternoon the next day, July 5th (Sunday, on a holiday weekend). Hamm was certainly knowledgeable, and after testing, said it was BOTH the battery and alternator. He replaced the alternator (which he had brought, having had my prior information as to car and model) and then drove to O'Reilly's nearby for a replacement battery which he then installed. In short, Hamm was responsive, capable, courteous and efficient. DFW saved the day (although I lost most of the holiday weekend with the problem!). Pricing wasn't cheap but was competitive I'd say. Give DFW a shot. Their customer service and mechanical work was outstanding. They also have a shop in addition to their mobile repair service. I will certainly consider them for all my future work! I am a Jeep owner, and an avid off road enthusiast. When I found myself stuck in about 3 feet of thick mud (more like clay) last week and no winch points in range for self extraction, I woefully accepted that a tow would be in order. Sounds simple enough, right? Wrong! After calling 3 of Speedway's competitors (who shall remain nameless for the sake of good taste) I encountered extremely rude reception with 2 of the 3 calls. It was as though my attempt to give them business was actually offending them. 2 out of 3 ain't good. One of the towing companies wouldn't even meet me at my location based on my description of being "off road". I must note that all 3 of these other towers list themselves as off road capable, but apparently that only means 15 feet off of the paved road. The second towing company send a scruffy, toothless gentleman to my location to inform me (sight unseen) "He don't take his truck off the paved road". This after an hour wait. The third actually had the decency of escorting my to the site where the jeep was stuck before he determined his rig and risk tolerance didn't have what it takes to pull me out. That's when I called Amos at Speedway Towing. He immediately assured me, he would get me out; and by god he did. This guy isn't afraid to actually do his job, and do it well. Yelpers, here is my point blank endorsement of this towing company: they will treat you right, and get the job done! Jeepers: this guy is not afraid to help you out of a hard to reach spot. Take my word. If you EVER need a tow, Amos is your guy! I only wish I would have called him first. read more

My commercial truck got stranded next to Alpha road and Inwood, I looked for the closest towing company in the area and found speedway towing. Their office manager "Dan" answered the phone and said they can be there in 20 min, The price was reasonable but I still wanted to get some more quotes, unfortunately all the other companies in the area didn't bother answering my calls, so I call Dan again and he said they will be there shortly. After 16 min one of their team member had arrive, pulling up his truck next to me and turning on his hazard lights for safety, He check my vehicle and as I though the batteries had died, luckily he had an extra battery charger in additional to his truck batteries and was able to jump start my commercial truck pretty fast for a lower cost since no towing was necessary. So guy's, if you ever get stranded on the roads of Dallas and you are looking for a fast and reliable towing company, I suggest you call Speedway towing. read more

I would like to share my great experience with this towing company. I was on my way to a very important meeting relating to my job.then There was a big pothole on the road,unfortunately I hit it! Luckily I was managed to drive my car to a safe location(gas station)but my concern was my appointment at work will be missed. I looked on yelp for towing company with good reviews. Luckily I found speedway towing. When I called I asked the person who answers the phone,if they can pick up the car without me being with the car,they sad"no problem",so I left the car and gave them all the information about the car. In a hour later their dispatcher called me and informed me that the car is at discount tire. 3 hours later I was able to pick up my car with a new tire. You don't find that kind of service every day. I gave Speedway Towing another opportunity because sometimes things happen. I called them again, a very polite and courteous person answered the phone and was able to have have someone dispatch to my location in 20 minutes. Chris loaded and secured my bike with care onto his truck and delivered my bike to my address with that same care. I do appreciate them taken care of me as customer. They are a quality business that I can refer my friends to. Probably some form of mis-communication the first time, but they came through with flying colors this time. Thank you Speedway Towing. We had a very unique situation on our hands over the weekend involving a U-Haul that was stuck in a very awkward way. After calling a few towing companies, who's numbers weren't accurate online, we were lucky enough to get a hold of Amos at Speedway. He arrived on time and exhausted all attempts to assist us in our dilemma until a solution was finally reached. He even stayed to ensure we were out of our sticky situation for good before he left. Long story short! The night started well, We had a family reunion in Dallas, Where I grew up. It has been 15 years since we have not see each other, All the family together. On the way from the Airport to my parents house I hit a pop-hall and my tire got busted. I was afraid I will miss that entire event, But luckily Speedway Towing were reliable enough to respond and tow my car to the nearest tire shop quickly. With in a hour the nightmare was over. The tow truck driver, Devin, called me when he was on his way and told me his eta was 45 minutes but got to me a little before that. I had a broken tire and the other companies said they could not get my car but speedway's driver without hesitation picked it up with no problem if I ever need a tow again this company will be the very first one I call. read more

Amazing company. Super nice, courteous, and empathetic. Everyone from the dispatcher to the driver, Glenda, were fantastic. Had to be towed from Dallas Design District to Richardson in the middle of rush hour. While it understandably took a while for a truck to get to me (it was OK, I was able to wait it out in a local restaurant), Glenda made the long trip extremely pleasant. The owner was one of the first companies to respond and provide me with a quote. The quote was fair. It was not my least expensive quote, but it was not my most expensive quote either. What impressed me was his follow-up and ease to work with. He was flexible while a arranged the appointment with the repair shop and once that was done Mater's came and picked up the truck and got it to the repair facility. I think what I was most impressed about was that they showed up when the said they would. He gave me a 1 hour window of when the driver would arrive and they were there at the beginning of the one hour window. There was also a long line outside the door of people who also were sharing similar stories. I reported them to my apartment complex and hope they never use this company again!
