Highly reccomend this place for getting your state inspection! I've had bad experiences in the past with some auto shops because they try to make you do services when you didn't need them in order to pass you but here they don't try to force anything and it's very simple. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm. There is a small waiting room with a few chairs and there was only 1 other person there. I came in and immediately someone came out and acknowledged i came in and let me know I was next. Once he was ready (less then 5 minutes) he asked for my insurance and keys and wrote some info down. He went out to get my car and literally less then 10 mins he was done and got me checked out! The total was 25.50 and they take various forms of credit cards. Friendly staff and fast and easy inspections! I was pleasantly surprised and agree with all the good reviews of this place. Come here for your next car inspection! I just realized my car registration is in Dec. So i came over to AAA state inspection. There were 3 people ahead of me. But each car and ow er was taken care of in a very timely manner. It took about 10 mins to get each car taken care of. The waiting room had barebones- just a few chairs. But it was enough because you are there for such a short time. The technitian was friendly, efficient and got everyone in and out quickly. When you arrive, you put your name, car yr make model on a sign in sheet. He just goes down the list. When it is your turn, he takes your car keys, writes down your car insurance number on a note pad and takes care of the (in my case emmissions and inspection). Then he comes back hands you the keys and report. Takes your credit card. He runs it. You sign it. And on your way you go. The people in the waiting room were all really nice and before we finished our conversation all our cars were taken care of. Definitely recommend this place. There are 4 options - different shops to get your inspection in this parking lot. I'm grateful i picked AAA. read more

Though the guy was very nice, it was so dirty. Chairs that I wouldn't let my dog get on. Tiles missing on floor, looked like it hadn't been touched in 20 years with any cleaning. The good thing is they don't push you to get things fixed for profit since they only do the inspection. read more

This place is perfect! There was no wait when I visited. Total cost as of Jan 2018 was $25.50. Barebones waiting area but you'll be out of there quickly. Inspection was promptly completed in under 10 minutes. I had an issue with a burned out break light that I wasn't aware of. Went to autozone down the street to swap the bulb. When I came back to finish the inspection the light still wasn't working. They helped me correct the true issue which was a loose connection in the bulb socket free of charge. Great service, very quick and cheap price. I believe hours are 8 am to 6 pm and closed on Sunday. read more

I am quite new to the North Dallas area and this was my first time needing the state-inspection. All I have to say is: no waiting, no BS, and was finished in about 10 minutes. To boot, it was only $25.50. Friendly and helpful gentlemen at the desk (I wish I would have taken his name so I could give a well deserved shout out...he was working today). I will absolutely take my cars here in the future. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 was due to the facility feeling like it has not anything done to it in decades (which isn't necessarily a bad thing). I agree with the post about the guy needing to work on social skills. He seemed very put out from the very beginning when I walked in the door. We walked outside and walked to the back of my truck. He claimed that because I have after market (totally legal) taillights on my truck, it will not pass inspection. His attitude was very poor and he must have woken up on the wrong side of the bed though reading these reviews- I think it is his general demeanor. Anyhow, I drove over to my Toyota dealer and they inspected my truck and passed it in about 10-15 minutes. Don't waste your time with this place! read more

It may not look like much, without the fancy waiting rooms and all the fluff but the gentlemen who helped me both years was friendly, patient, and informative.
