What an awesome experience! I'm an out-of-town visitor and had a dental emergency. There were many dental offices in the area I'm staying but this was the only one open on Fridays. Dr. Wendy and her staff are all charming, cordial, and beautiful, too! They reassured me and took care of my problem very efficiently. I was impressed with their courtesy, professionalism and kindness to me, especially since I'm not a regular patient and they knew I would not become one since I live elsewhere. Nevertheless they treated me with the same respect and consideration as if I were one of their own patients. If you have dark stained teeth or staining from tetracycline like my teeth, Wendy Spektor is the dentist for you. I'm a senior engineer in Aerospace and I'm called on to speak at conferences, provide training to groups, and meet with company executives. The appearance of my teeth has always bothered me and has gotten worse with time. In addition to the effects of coffee, I had staining from tetracycline given as an antibiotic as a child and a front tooth that was turning gray. After reading all of the amazing reviews, I decided that Spektor Dental was the place for me. Before I begin with the "BAD," I do want to say that the X-ray tech and dental hygienist were both very friendly and competent. However, things quickly went south when the dentist (Dr. Libby) came into the picture. First, her eye makeup was smeared down her face and her hair was unruly (she gave the impression that she had partied all night and didn't bother to check her appearance before coming to work). She then stated that I had a small cavity in my wisdom tooth, and that I should move forward with removing ALL of my wisdom teeth because I "simply don't need them." I pushed back and stated that I have been told by numerous dentists to keep my wisdom teeth because they won't cosmetically compromise my smile (I have plenty of room in my mouth to keep them where they are). Dr. Libby (and the Business Office Manager) then stated that I had great dental insurance that would pay $2,000 towards the procedure, leaving me with an out-of-pocket expense of $260. They then went on to state that my insurance wouldn't cover "as much" for my filling. Thus leaving me with a larger out-of-pocket expense. I replied that I wasn't concerned about the cost, and that it didn't make sense for me to go through a MORE invasive treatment because of a slight out-of-pocket cost difference. I left Spektor Dental uncomfortable and had a nagging feeling that they were pushing the more invasive, costly procedure of removing my wisdom teeth because it would allow them to collect more money from the insurance company. Several weeks later, I received a rather odd e-mail from Dr. Libby stating that she was no longer a dentist for Spektor and would love to keep me as a client. I then received an e-mail from Spektor apologizing for the e-mail received from Dr. LIbby. Fast forward two years later (yes, two years), I went to another Bellevue dental practice. The dentist himself did a routine cleaning and filling for my STILL small cavity. It was an easy, painless, 15 minute procedure (I had never had a cavity before. So, I was unsure about what to expect). The cost was $350 for everything, and this is without dental insurance! I also asked about the removal of my wisdom teeth, and I was again told that there was no need. I can't express how frustrating it is to get terrible advice from a professional. I'm thanking my lucky stars that I followed my instinct and didn't move forward as advised by Spektor Dental. read more

Dr. Molly McIntosh ("Dr. Mac") is absolutely FANTASTIC. She is an absolute expert in her field. She is incredibly personable, gentle, professional and truly skilled. All of my check-ups and cleanings with her and her wonderful team have been so thorough and pleasant. Recently, Dr. Mac also completed some cosmetic dental bonding to correct an unsightly gap between my two front teeth (some call it a black triangle). Cosmetic dental bonding is very delicate work and it takes a special person with a special skillset to be able to do it correctly -- so that the teeth look natural and yet flawless. Dr. Mac did an absolutely PERFECT job -- my teeth look so gorgeous now! I can smile FULLY and no longer worry about trying to hide the gap! I went to Spektor Dental twice. One of them was for deep cleaning and other one was repairing for chipped tooth. Dr. Lily did amazing job in both cases. I am happy about the results. She pays attention to details and i had a really good experience. She explains operations in details and makes sure you are comfortable and good experience during operations. I've been going to Spektor dental for over a decade. I have had a crazy amount of problems with my teeth my entire life but can honestly say due to my experiences at Spektor Dental, I have remained positive and my teeth are in better shape now than they have ever been. I can't say enough great things about the facility,staff, etc. When I walk in the door, I'm always greeted by name by the receptionists. The assistants are always insanely nice and never make you feel bad about your visit regardless of how good or bad your dental hygiene is. I used to see Dr. Wendy and now see Dr. Molly who I absolutely adore! If you are looking for a dental office that feels like a family - this is the place to go! I actually look forward to going to the dentist because I know I'll have a great experience every time. Dr. Mac at Spektor Dental is amazing. Explains exactly what she sees in your teeth, explains what she thinks needs to be treated, what could watch and wait, explains options if you have findings that are a "grey area" (ie, some dentists would recommend this, others this, and you could go either way, here are pros and cons, etc). Dr Wendy and Dr Michael are the best! I had a crown on my front tooth that was over 30 years old and the gum above the tooth had receded, exposing the underlying silver and black base of the crown. In addition, the crown was a different color and shape from my other teeth. I have a bit of dentist phobia, so this was my 2017 great leap of faith. Dr Michael did the gum work and Dr Wendy did the crown. The results were amazing! The new crown matches the shape and color of my other teeth, and the receding gum is fixed. Dr Wendy also straightened out the crown so my teeth are straight. I consider my teeth a work of art! I would recommend Dr Wendy and Dr Michael to anyone. read more

I am thrilled with the care and attention to detail that Dr. Wendy Spektor gave to me. I presented with a difficult situation with two front teeth that had root canals, one steel post and crowns that were turning darker and my gum line was residing exposing the dark edge. A previous dentist tried to patch the top of the crown at the gum line to cover up the dark edge, but that looked terrible. I was very very scared to have anyone work on my two front teeth as I literally have very little real tooth under the crowns that initially had great color and shape. Dr. Specktor got second opinions from nearby specialists in her office, drew a diagram of what the problem was, took pictures and X-rays, and explained the difficulties. She wanted to think about best options and treat conservatively if possible while still getting the cosmetic look I wanted. I agreed with the plan. She got in touch with the original dentist who had retired (and whom I was so impressed with) and agreed to try a new buffering/polishing tool. It didn't perform quite as well as hoped for and plan B was done which was bonding over the existing crowns after removing the poorly done patch job for a smoother, brighter more natural looking front teeth. She also smoothed the nearby edges of the contacting teeth and the result was whiter and nicely shaped natural looking front teeth and full mouth smile perfection. To keep my teeth looking white she gave me a tube of supersmile toothpaste and the nicest manual toothbrush I have ever owned. I can't wait to get my husband in to have Dr. Spektor fix the gap between his two front teeth, which will be a cinch after dealing with my difficult problem. She is highly skilled and knowledgeable and you can feel confident that you will receive expert care. read more

Wendy Spektor (or Dr. Wendy as she calls herself) is a perfectionist who fusses over patients with good old fashioned good service. I went there for veneers for my front teeth and she picked out the perfect color and took great care to give me a wonderful smile. I don't know how this office does it--but as busy as it is, with so many different people working there, and the clients coming and going, they always know my name and seem up to date on my case. I just had two cavities filled at by Dr. Wendy Spektor and the experience was nothing less than perfect. I was in and out quickly and could not have felt more relaxed during the procedure. Dr. Wendy is easily the best dentist I have seen (and I've seen a lot of them). I have been seeing dr. Wendy for about 5 years now, and my teeth were a disaster before her. She and her staff make going to the dentist an enjoyable experience! They are always so friendly and go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable. Dr. Wendy is especially willing to go the extra mile for her patients. I once broke one of my fake teeth and she came in on a Saturday for me to accommodate my school schedule. Wish I would have never left, best dental team in the Pac NW! Dr. Wendy Spektor was my childhood dentist. As an adult I had decided to go to a different dentist a bit more convenient to my home. That was a mistake. After 10 years of not seeing Dr. Wendy, I decided to schedule an appointment with her to check on a possible cracked tooth, that my other dentist had mentioned needing to crown, and I just had to get a second opinion. From the time I called Dr. Wendy's office I knew I was in good hands. They were able to squeeze me in last minute and Dr. Wendy spent over an hour with me, figuring out what was going on with my tooth. It turned out to not be a cracked tooth but rather an issue that would need a root canal to fully resolve. My other dentist had let a cavity go untreated. Dr. Wendy took the time to do some temporary work to get me through the pain while I scheduled an appt. with the root canal doctor. She called me the next few days to make sure I was doing okay and not in too much pain. She was absolutely amazing and a few months later I am pain free, as she referred me to an incredible root canal specialist as well. I also just had my 6 month cleaning and her team has to be the best in Seattle/Bellevue! Their professionalism, knowledge, technology, attention to my needs, and cleaning techniques are why I will never go to another dentist again. read more
