We purchased an ICON/Epic golf cart from NW Yamaha GC in April thinking this was a really…read moregood-looking golf cart. Lots of amenities including headlights, seat belts, back up camera, etc. We added a Lithium Ion battery and custom enclosure to the order believing that they knew what they were doing. Once we started using it we discovered many, many flaws with the basic design, bumpy ride and functions of the vehicle even as a basic golf cart. The custom enclosure was very poorly fit and leaks when it rains, bag cover, (from the ICON factory), made it nearly impossible to remove a club. The speaker placement was barely a few inches above the high seat backs making the back basket nearly impossible to access or see what was there. Poor quality design all around. The pencil holder, (from the ICON factory), will not hold a standard pencil. The front cup holders are so small only small disposable coffee cups will fit. The cart is a good 3 inches higher to climb into and the seats are made for people over 5'11" or you cannot reach the pedals with your back against the seat. The side mirrors are nearly useless and with enclosure doors that open into them they get knocked out of alignment every time. On top of all of these and many more issues, the front brakes randomly will lock up when using the cart. Eventually, this brake issue is too much for the battery and will lock up the entire cart. This cart is a LEMON. Do not purchase from ICON/EPIC or NW Yamaha GC! This Epic cart is a very poor-quality product and certainly poor-quality service. They only care about getting paid not about you as a customer! We wanted to return this cart to Costco, but they told us the fine print said this was a 'custom' order and could not be returned. This is THE worst purchase we have ever made with 'trusted' Costco. Now ICON/EPIC and NW Yamaha GC are just pointing fingers at Costco to fix this. We have notified our WA state Lemon Law attorney about this product and are continuing to fight with ICON/EPIC, NW Yamaha GC and Costco. A new EZGO golf cart beats this cart design on all fronts and is only slightly more money without any of these headaches.

So, onto my tale of a company actively working to reject new customers (I put a very brief summary at the bottom if you don't want all the detail). My teenage granddaughter gives me a pair of shoes on their site as her Christmas gift idea. She's on the other side of the country so online is the only way for me to get them to her. I step through the whole process, selecting the shoe, filling in her info, my info for the credit card, etc. and then when I try to complete the order I get an error directing me to customer service, no hint about the reason for the error. Cust service takes the entire order over the phone, her address, my address, credit card info....and order rejected, "I'm sorry sir your bank has rejected the charge". Strange because Bank Of America has always texted me immediately when a charge is rejected, with the "Is this you?" thing. I never received that. I called the bank, no, they not only didn't reject it, they never saw it. Back to cust service, a different rep again takes the order and gets the same result. Ok, let's use a different card. Same result. Normally I'd just move on to a different store but, teenage granddaughter/specific shoe/other side of the country/not many other gift ideas, so I ask for a sup. He asked if I'd ordered from them before. No, I hadn't. And with that he knew the issue immediately. They use a third party company to screen credit card charges and if you're a new customer trying to use a credit card online it automatically rejects the charge. It doesn't query the bank and, per the sup, there's no way to override it. "You'll have to go into a store". I did that, there's one not far from me, and that's where they earned back one star because the people in the store were very helpful and got it taken care of. To summarize: - Christmas season, lots of potential new customers - Online system actively rejects any new customers - 1st line cust service blames the bank for rejecting a charge - Not so, they never forward the charge to the bank, reject it in house. - Company message, "If you're not an existing customer, GO AWAY, but not until we waste your time and falsely blame your bank"

They are still trying to organize the store but my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by already how well organized everything was and the store is very spacious! Plenty of walking room which was nice as I always am fearful of bumping into anything in retro stores. Additionally, there was a cozy spot with a TV, table and a bench to sit on for maybe future gaming or TV/movie watching as it was there DVDs, VHSes, and video games nearby. There is a sign that lets you know that there are cats in the store but they were very friendly and followed us around the store as we were browsing. The store owner greeted us politely and told us if we had any questions that he would be more than happy to answer them. We didn't have any questions at the time as we just wanted to check out the store and see what they offered as we had never been before. They also support other small businesses which I thought was extremely generous and sweet of them to do! We ended up buying two Lorcana packs which the owner made sure to price fairly in comparison to other card shops or retail stores. Overall a very awesome experience and we hope to come again soon!
