What a blessing to find this mattress factory. I was recently shopping at a few box stores replacing a bed that had comfortably served its purpose of 8 years. I was sticker shocked how expensive beds were nowadays. I was close to buying one way above my budget to desperately alleviate my unbearable back pains. After searching for all the reviews of the most high rated beds on You Tube. I was luck to find videos posted by Spencer's on what these same beds were made of and how poorly they were constructed. I was blown away with their expertise and knowledge. They created a new custom bed line called Integrity 3.0 that featured a flippabe hybrid double sided bed with a spring coil core and dual sided zippers to interchange the comfort panels for varying comfort firmness levels. I was sold. I could not find any other mattress factory product with the same construction. I was confident that I ordered a mattress with great durability; construction, quality materials and flexibility to customize comfort. I almost overpaid for over hyped and marketed poorly constructed beds by some brand names. This is a family-owned business?? Within 1 minute I almost walked out but the showroom was beautiful and has beautiful mattresses. The man was RUDE and ANGRY. Still, I was not deterred, I WANT a new mattress! I am READY to buy! He showed me a few mattresses, but he continued to be very ANGRY and SNARKY too. A new customer walked in and I was fine with letting him assist him. I said I would like to listen in on the Q & A. (no problem). Soon that elderly new customer threw in the towel and we both walked out. 2 sales lost. I feel sorry for this man. Clearly he does not know love. I was in desperate need of a new mattress and my partner told me about this place. I walked in and I was unaware that they were about to close. The space was massive, and I felt very overwhelmed, but the person working there was a real human being, which is lacking in customer service these days. They were great, showed me around a few different specific type of mattresses that I thought that I wanted and they worked with my budget. I ended up, leaving with a firm California king mattress at a great price because it was the last one of the specific type that they were no longer selling. the sales representative was definitely quirky and had a good personality but I can see how boring people could be turned off... Run do not walk away from Spencer's. In an industry that now routinely allows 365 returns with no return fees or minimal ones ($99), Jim at Spencer's will tell you that you can return their mattresses within 7-10 days if you do not like it. In my case however, he somehow failed to mention that Spencer's charges a 20% RETURN FEE. He also did not provide me with an invoice in writing at the time of sale. I had a $1786 mattress of their delivered on Friday 12/9/22. I tried it over the weekend. I did not like it. I called Jim on Monday 12/12/22 to let him know and schedule a pick up. That's when the stalling began. He said he'd "talk to Spencer" and they would call me back. I let him know we will be out of town for the holidays for 3 weeks over winter break so we had this week (5 business days) to schedule the pickup. I wanted to be sensitive to their 7-10 return policy. 27 hours later still no call so I called a second time. Jim said he'd try to connect with Spencer again today. I reminded him that we are leaving town in 3 days. He said he was "with customers" and they'd get back to me. A bad feeling in my gut led me to ask if we were just waiting to schedule the pick up or if there was any refund issue. He said "Spencer will dictate that". I asked, "Dictate what? You told me you do returns in the first 7-10 days." That's when he said, "Well we have a 20% return fee." I said "That's ridiculous, you never mentioned that to me when I asked in the store or I never would have bought your mattress. You led me to believe I could try the mattress first without penalty." He said that the return fee information is on the invoice. Dude, I didn't receive anything in writing until the delivery guys gave it to me on Friday. How can I know about a policy like that ahead of time if I am not informed until after the fact. I am not psychic. Good luck getting a dime out of me at this point. I have disputed the full amount of the mattress with my credit card company and I am pretty sure they are on my side. Hopefully all's well that ends well, your pick up guys never come and I can donate this mattress to someone that really needs it...it is the holidays after all. For everyone reading this, you've been warned...which is more than Spencer's will do for you. ***UPDATE later on 12/13: Jim called me back. Said he talked to "Spencer"...They could now come pick the mattress up for a $99 pick up charge. I started to say, nope, you have to be upfront with your customers at the time of sale. It's not okay to add fees after the fact. He condescendingly said, "Let me refresh your memory. The word you used when you asked wasn't refund, it was exchange..." I interrupted him and said, "No, the word I used when I asked you about this was RETURNS. What is your return policy?..." He started to yell so I simply said, listen, I have already disputed this with my credit card company and I am pretty sure they are on my side. You can come pick it up if you want it or I can donate it. He ranted about being fair and said "donate it" and hung up. All Spencer's needs to do is be upfront. They can have whatever policies they want but they need to be honest, up front, and in writing BEFORE customers buy their stuff. Period. Everything else is just noise. read more

Went to one other mattress store before coming here, it was honestly a night and day difference as to the type of treatment (in a good way). As soon as we entered we were greeted by Parker (Spencer's Son) and yelp had said they close at 6:00pm but the front of the store said 5:30pm. It was already 5:15 but Parker told us not to worry about it. He was super knowledgeable, showed us different bed types and explained the differences... I have a really bad back and I'm only 28 so I was super concerned about getting something that would help my back feel better in the morning. Right now I keep waking up all night in pain. Instantly as soon as I laid on the Latex beds (or even the Latex toppers on a bed) I felt instant pain relief! It was amazing! He was super cool, gave us lots of great information and actually explained how the beds were made and what I was feeling versus just trying to make a sale on the most expensive bed that we could afford. We haven't purchased yet, but I'm pretty sure we're going to go back first thing tomorrow and get one! Can't wait to sleep on one of those beds!! ADDITIONAL REVIEW AFTER PURCHASE: So I went back the very next day and decided to purchase the Santa Barbara Dream Mattress with an Organic Latex topper, my husband liked it better than the 100% latex bed and I thought it was just as comfy, and more affordable! The guys just came and delivered the bed, first took our old bed away, I had a chance to vacuum underneath, then set up the new one! They were scheduled to deliver between 10am and 12pm and they showed up promptly at 10:15am! I'm so so sooo happy with my new bed, I can't thank you guys enough! Now to go buy new sheets!! read more

After realizing my wife and I were having restless sleep and minor back tension everyday we decided to start looking around for a new mattress. First look was Costco because the cost was great but after so many mixed reviews from each mattress we looked at, we needed to actually lay on several to get a feel for what we were looking for. Tried a couple local mattress stores and felt pretty confident we would move forward on a moderately priced king but still felt like we needed to try a few more out. Once we went to Spencer's we immediately realized what a difference a high quality mattress makes. We laid on several of their models but seemed to really gravitate to the Doctor's Care Plush mattress. Not only was it the most comfortable we had tested but also so nice to have the option of a replaceable zipper mattress top and foam top. When the foam or top material gets warn out we can basically get a new mattress for a fraction the price. We went back and forth debating price and comfort but realized we're investing in our long-term back care. Ultimately, what's a good night's sleep worth? We met with Spencer in the showroom and gave us some insight to how he crafts each of the mattress' including this new line he developed. Such a great idea utilizing high quality materials and really happy to know it's locally made. Fortunately we decided to go for the mattress we really loved and so happy we did. It's definitely the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on (hotel's included). After a little over a month, both our back's have been so much better and sleep like a rock every single night. I went to the Spencer's Mattress showroom located on Goodyear and worked with Jim to figure out what type of mattress I liked. Then Spencer and his son, Parker, designed and made custom mattress pads for my camper van. My new mattress pads are fantastic and the quality is top notch. The price was very reasonable too. There's no way I would have been able to figure out how to layer the different types of foam together myself to create such a comfortable mattress.
