Justin immediately greeted us and was SO friendly and welcoming. He took the time to ask us questions about our sleeping preferences, comfort needs, and what we were looking for in a mattress so he could help us find the best fit. He made the entire experience feel very warm, personal, and comfortable -- not like a typical sales interaction at all. He walked us through the store, let us try different mattresses, explained the different materials and options, and answered all of our questions. What really stood out was how honest and helpful he was -- he never tried to upsell us or pressure us into making a purchase. Instead, he gave us genuine advice and even suggested that we consider purchasing a mattress closer to where we'll be moving. He also explained the differences between local mattress brands and the bigger name brands, which helped us better understand what we were looking at and what to consider when making such an important purchase. We ended up finding a mattress we really loved, and Justin was even kind enough to write down the exact name and model for us so we would have it when we're ready to buy. I honestly wish we received this kind of friendly, thoughtful service everywhere we went! From the beginning, the seat cushions have been much too soft and have never provided proper support. When I sit on the sofa, I sink deeply into the cushions instead of being supported. The lack of firmness causes my hips to drop, leaving my lower back unsupported. It has become so uncomfortable that I have gotten up with significant back pain, and on one occasion I was literally doubled over after sitting on it. The company has replaced the foam cushions twice, but neither replacement solved the problem. The sofa continues to sag, and the seating support has never been what I expected from a new piece of furniture. The most disappointing part has been the lack of a permanent resolution. After multiple repair attempts, I expected someone to take ownership of the problem, thoroughly inspect the sofa, determine whether the issue is the foam, the cushion construction, or the support system underneath, and make it right. Instead, I still have a sofa that is uncomfortable to sit on despite repeated attempts to fix it. A sofa is a major investment, and I expected it to provide lasting comfort and support. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. They have not stepped up or reached out to me to resolve this matter. I see that David L, the owner, stated 'glad to make your shopping experience pleasant. We look forward to seeing you again.' Well, my shopping experience wasn't pleasant and they made no attempt to rectify the problem and they definitely won't see me again.

A lot of thought went into what and where to buy. We are so thankful we chose this place! First off, David and Jesse are knowledgeable and professional, and it's obvious they take pride in what they do and have great concern and care for their customers. It's not just a job for them! Jesse delivered the couch himself 3 days after we bought it. He was efficient and careful, and did it all with smiles and professionalism. Through no fault of the store, however, the couch we bought had a manufacturer defect and so did the replacement that was first sent. It took us about a week and a half to finally get the couch we paid for. With the impact on us financially due to the amount we invested in it, of course we were more than concerned and worried. But, through the whole situation, David and Jesse were prompt to get answers for us and were on the phone frequently with the manufacturer on our behalf. David called us several times himself to update and reassure us. He had great concern for us, and wanted to make sure we were happy and satisfied with our purchase. You just don't get this kind of customer service from a big box store, and especially not from the likes of Amazon. I always wondered why this small shop on the corner of Seaward and Main has been there for what seems like forever. Now I know why! Simply Outstanding!…read more I was shopping for a "natural" mattress and had been to most of the big stores in L.A., including that fancy expensive one on Main Street in Santa Monica that sells only latex mattresses for $4,000. I called the "deal" guy from Craigslist that has videos on YouTube, I shlepped to Burbank too... I was at the end of my rope really, trying to find something that fit in my budget and yet at the same time wasn't laced with chemicals. Luckily I stumbled on an ad for Organic Roots and made the trek up to Ventura to test the goods out. (Hey, I just couldn't get myself to buy a mattress without lying down on it first.) I'd sworn off of coil mattresses, I really had, I swore to myself I wasn't going to get one... and Organic Roots surprised me. I ended up getting an organic mattress that was absolutely perfect for me, firm enough to supply support but with a lovely natural cushy latex layer at the top for a chemical-free memory foam experience. The result: I saved about $1,000. Because Organic Roots really achieved what I thought was impossible with coils and latex combined, I ended up spending much, much less on a mattress -- an ORGANIC mattress -- and I'm totally satisfied. Every night when I climb into bed now, I say "aaahhhhhh" to myself. It's soooo good. The cherry on top of the whole experience is Travis who's very up front and open. He even talked me out of buying a new bed frame, telling me to keep what I already had. Who does that?
