We had such a great experience at this store 2 years ago when purchasing a mattress for our guest room that we decided to come back here to purchase split King adjustable bases because our old ones gave out on us after 13 years. OMG! The best mattresses!!! My husband and I absolutely LOVE this mattress store! From the moment we stepped foot in here we felt like we were treated like family. We came in yesterday and met Sue-Z the store manager and she gave us the luxury tour of all the mattresses on the floor. We had so much fun testing out all the beds. Sue-Z was so wonderful! The next day we went out and purchased a bed frame and realized we didn't need the box springs so we came back today to let Sue-Z know that we didn't need the box springs and she was very happy to help us, and give us a refund for the box springs. We saved hundreds and were very pleased with her exceptional customer service. Whoever gave her a one - star review must not have come in to the store at all. Because there's no way she would have been rude, I watched her interactions with every customer and every time she was exceptional. And there's no way she would be rude to a person from the deaf community. I have problems hearing as does my husband and she was amazing to us even though I had to ask her what she said several times. She was jovial, courteous, caring, understanding and wanted us to feel at ease. We will always refer our friends to this store. She's amazing and this store is amazing! Great prices!!!! Outstanding experience! We were somewhat desperate after purchasing a Sleep Numbers bed 9/15/22. It was so uncomfortable I hadn't slept good for 15 nights. I told my husband I couldn't sleep on it another night and since we let them haul off our old mattress we had nothing. We went to Ortho mattress right when they opened and Andy was so helpful and honest. He is very knowledgeable about mattresses and sleep positions. We got so lucky they had a Stearns and Foster floor model for sale and Andy got it delivered next day for free. Last night we must of slept like babies, blankets and sheets were pretty much perfectly in place and not twisted all over the place like they have been, I barely did anything to make the bed . Now we have to deal with Sleep Numbers so called hassle free return service (lies). The last 15 days taught me that sleep is so important and a good quality mattress will help with that. I was super close to buying a box mattress online but after lots of research a few are starting to get sued due to fiberglass and cheap toxic glues used to glue foam layers. Do your research or go to Ortho Mattress first. Avoid all the trends and get yourself a solid quality mattress. Who knew you could have so much fun buying a mattress?!? This is the third mattress I have bought from ortho in the past 10 years. I came back because I have never felt pressured, the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful, and it's not an over-the-top a bunch of crazy bells and whistles mattress stores, it's just a good old friendly mattress store, and has what I need. I don't need to lay on a self-adjusting bed that costs $10k+ either. I went in because in the past five years I have suffered some major health setbacks and i decided i needed an adjustable bed to raise my feet and head. I called and they said they had some so I went to check them out. I was there on a Friday and a super sweet young guy named Tom took the time to answer all of our questions and watched me lay on all of the beds I was interested in multiple times. I lost track of time and had to leave because it was time for me to get my kids but he never pressured me into making a purchase and I promised I would come back... I went back a few days later and he wasn't there but the manager, SueZ was there and boy is she a crack up! I told her I knew exactly what I wanted, how Tom had helped me previously, and that I was in a hurry because again I was on my way to pick up my kids. She made it happen for me in record time. Extremely disappointed with the service my sister and I received. I am a previous customer from 2020. So is my Mother in Law of 15+ years ago! Previously, we had a great experience buying our mattress here. When my sister began looking for a mattress, we recommended her to Ortho Mattress in Ventura. My sister is from the deaf community. She is legally disabled. However, in spite of that, she is very independent and does not have problems making purchases. Yesterday, I received a FaceTime call from my sister, who told me the person at the store was having a hard time understanding her. SueZ was extremely rude. When my sister first got there she felt pushed away un welcomed . if you are familiar with the deaf community they are extremely well with reading and observing people vibe, gestures, body language etc. My sister usually writes things out on paper or on her phone to communicate with people. My sister was confused about why the lady "helping" her could not understand what she was writing down. Well unfortunately SueZ was being extremely rude, making my sister feel like her business was not welcomed. I continued to tell her what my sister was looking for SueZ said " ugh this is so frustrating and difficult this is to much for me " all this writing back and for is overwhelming to much" I don't understand why she is allowed to go places without someone" that was uncalled for I respond after she was done complaining about my sister I said " how do you think she feels?" "My sister is very independent and capable of going places because most place take their time to communicate with her being deaf". " and if they are unable to communicate my sister reaches out to me, that's why I am here". I then continued to try to speak with the the lady through Facetime while my sister was in the store. She refused to speak over Facetime still. Her tone of voice was extremely rude and it seemed like she could not be bothered to help. My sister was an inconvenience to her. First of all, how dare this able hearing and speaking person say this to me. I have not 1, but 2 hearing and speaking impaired siblings, as well as nieces and nephews who are also non-hearing/speaking. How dare she try to suggest that a disabled person should require to have a translator with them to do everyday normal things, such as shopping. Not only that, but how rude and unkind of her to tell me that she can't understand and did not want to even try to communicate with her. If only she knew what it's like for mute and deaf people everyday. I did not have the heart in me to tell my sister how rude and awful this lady was being at the time. So despite how awful she treated my sister and I, my sister went ahead and made the purchase. I am only writing this because this is blatant example of discrimination against disabled persons and unethical conduct. It may even be in violation of the ADA. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB. read more

We've had our Beautyrest mattress for approximately 12 days and I am loving it! I like a firm mattress and had a Tempurpedic prior. I went with a hybrid mattress this time. It took a couple of days for me to adjust, but now I am sleeping wonderfully. The buying process was great, too. Sue-Z was very helpful and we ended up with the perfect mattress. Great personable service, unsatisfactory product. A month after purchase, the bed had a noticable low spot where I slept. After three months, I went to the local store for a warrantee adjustment. The salesperson (the guy I bought the mattress from, moved on) asked me if I had rotated the mattress every two weeks, really? Every two weeks. Well, I had not been told that. And Since it only has a pillow top on one side, I could only rotate it with the same side up. so not sure how much that would help. Well, Ortho has that great 10 year warrantee. So, I filed a claim. They sent out a guy to do an evaluation. He took pictures of a line pulled taunt across the mattress and cardboard tubes (think cement post forms) with a line every 1/2 inch. Turns out it has a half inch dip (with no weight on it). Well, to have a defect, it has to have 1.5 inch. The bed also slopes. When I am in the bed, I am sure it has a 1.5 inch depression. Needless to say, Ortho says nothing wrong with the mattress. Turns out, A good friend of mine, went through the same process with Ortho. So, I am out about $2000. I have pruchased atleast four or five matresses (I'm 50, 200 pounds & an engineer). Never had this problem before. Purchased pillow tops, but perhaps not this soft before, nor this brand (but usually out of a furniture store. So, hmmm, buyer beware.) read more

Mike was AMAZING!!!! My boyfriend and I are in the process of moving and as stressful as that is already, the process of finding the right mattress without getting scammed made me so anxious. Although Mike is a salesman, he really made us comfortable from the start and was never pushy or overbearing about a thing. If you want to know what mattress fits you best, you must see Mike. He has all the knowledge about mattresses as he said he's been doing this for over 20+ years....he knows how they're made, the longevity of each matter, what kind of bed frame should go with each type of mattress, the whole nine yards. Well we spent Christmas money and got a new mattress. The first one was defective and after 30 days they replaced it. Claiming we would have to pay for the inspection and freight charges. We argued them out of that. The second one isn't much better and the memory foam on the top has ahlzheimers and doesn't go back to flat. If we complain this time they will charge us for the inspection and delivery etc. what a horrible warranty and customer service. On top of that the $ 1000 mattress is poor quality with defective foam. I will NEVER buy an ortho mattress ever again. read more
