Not only that, I have discovered 3 bug bites in a row on my arm, which may indicate they have bed bugs living in their show furniture. I'm hoping it's not bed bugs and that they did not hitch a ride home with me :( We were helped immediately as soon as we walked in because we were the only customers there on a weekend. What a huge contrast to how busy it was at the furniture store we stopped by before this one! We were told some helpful things, but after we were promised to be left alone to look around, we were approached a few more times again. It felt rather awkward. Overall, it's really hard for me to recommend Mega Furniture to anyone unless you have a very specific style you're looking for because they do have some furniture pieces that are not what's currently trending. We ordered a swivel rocking chair for our nursery when I was six months pregnant. I am currently sitting here 2 weeks away from giving birth and we have YET to receive this chair! We have been patient. We have stopped by the store multiple times to check on shipment times, we have made several calls. We have always been pleasant and understanding. But the fact that we have had to go out of our way multiple times to check on the status of things rather than being contacted with updates is incredibly frustrating. Each time we have called we have been given the runaround or told some bs estimated time. I called yesterday again after having been told previously that "the manager is the one who deals with these things, he'll be in later in the week." As I was giving our ordering info over the phone, the worker rudely interrupted me stating she knew who I was and that the chair was not to be expected for another month when 2 weeks previously we were told it would only be a week. I finally lost my cool and demanded a refund then and there, we had had enough. The worker let us know she would have the manager give us a call personally to go over details. We received no such call. Today, we had to go out of our way AGAIN to drive to the location and figure out wtf was going on. The man at the front (I'm assuming this so called manager we were waiting on) actually asked us "you haven't gotten your chair yet?" when we explained why we were there, as if he was just hearing this for the first time. He took us to customer service where the worker already had the paperwork ready for our refund. Big lack of communication there. There was no apology, no offering to make things right (switch out for a different chair, free delivery, ANYTHING.) They mentioned that we must be in a rush to find something else, nodding to my belly. They ran our card that they were so eager to take two months before and let us know it may be 5-7 business days, maybe more, to see the refund reflected on our credit card. So now we are here playing the waiting game AGAIN and $400 short until we get the refund and can venture out to find a furniture store who will respect our time and hard earned money. I am absolutely devastated that our nursery will not be complete for our son's arrival and he will have nothing to soothe him until we can find another chair. We did our part and ordered ahead of time, they severely lacked the compassion to respect that and keep in contact. Don't waste your time here, go somewhere else.

The 2 notable ones are Tracy and Dennis. Let me start with Dennis first. They remodeled their store and now the fasteners/nuts/bolts area has been expanded and I love this. Most of the time I come it's because I need some fitting that broke or something with something I have and I don't need 100 of them, just 1 or a few. All the Ace Hardwares are perfect for this and I've never NOT found what I needed. Dennis has helped me most of the time when I come, which isn't too frequent, but maybe a few times a year. He is always very patient. Sometimes it's with a project and he offers suggestions. Thank you, Dennis. Tracy is a newer person for me from the past year. I don't remember why I came in, but he was the person to help me. He's retired from his career and just wanted to still work, but not in a high pressured career. We've had some really great conversations. He is very personable and super, super helpful. I needed to fix my dripping shower faucet and asked him for suggestions. He gave me lots of sound advice, which all of them really helped me. Unfortunately this Ace did not have the parts I needed for my particular showers, but the advice he gave was invaluable and saved me hundreds of dollars. I was able to change out the shower spout, handle, shower heads with new stuff and all by myself. This turned out to be fairly easy, so I thought why not to tackle my master bath, that had similar shower fixtures. The master bath was a little trickier, and took a bit longer, but I was able to change all the shower fixtures minus the drains all by myself without incident and everything is working great. I did this back over 3 months ago and everything still works fantastically. Tracy did advise that replacing the drains was a bit more difficult. He didn't say don't do this, but the thought of having to perhaps replace plumbing and the showers did not appeal to me. So, the drains remained. I also wanted to change out the sink faucet in the first bathroom. He talked about the hard water deposits we have and how to replace the faucet. He showed me a tool, a sink wrench, to help me loosen and get into tight spaces. My husband really was the one that went under the sink to do all this. I am grateful. This was a bit more difficult than we had hoped because whomever installed the prior faucet really glued EVERYTHING down well, which required my husband to use a DeWalt cutting tool to get the parts out. Since the first bathroom turned out well, we also did the Master Baths both faucets - replacing them. Thank you, Tracy, for your guidance and direction in this, for caring enough to be specific to empower me/us to do these repairs to our home and saving hundreds in labor and not needing to call out a plumber to do all this. Both Dennis & Tracy are true assets to this Ace Hardware location. Thank you for caring about your customers and going above and beyond every time. God bless you and the rest of the employees here.

You have that OEM part in hand when you need it (which is sometimes ASAP, to fix that fridge/freezer). I do recommend having the appliance model number (or ideally, your OEM part numbers) when you walk in or call. Even better, use their website and that number to check if they have that part in stock. (In my experience, their site has been reliably accurate on availability. I'm yet to have walked in and heard, "The system says we have it, but I can't find it.") Now don't walk in and expect a hand-holding, Repair Clinic like experience, where they tell you exactly what to do. With that said, the staff is polite - and if you're friendly, they offer good advice when needed. As a bonus in the Tempe store, they sell a small (but task-relevant) selection of tools. I've purchased a few of them there, and while they are not cheap, they are high quality, IMO. I still use them all and never regretted an impulse purchase.
