The seasonal decor this year both at Halloween and for Christmas has been nicely adorned and plentiful. We enjoy visiting for all things tools, wood, and ornaments. Just like any other Home Depot. The store is well kept, I didnt need help but there were plenty of employees I could've asked. Found what I needed and almost identical pricing to Lowes. Major attention is needed in their Mens Restroom though. You'll see the pictures, but also no soap dispenser works so they just put a couple bottles of soap on the sinks like we have at home. There are employees who like doing their job. Then there are employees who love doing their job. Such Employee is a gentlemen by the name of Javier Figueroa. I was looking for a particular lightbulb and Mr Figueroa pointed me in the correct direction. I am clueless about these newer light bulbs but Mr Figueroa described the difference between these newer bulbs and the older on And described step by step how to install it. At other stores I was pretty much ignored or not helped because it was such a miniscule item. Mr. Figueroa on the other hand realized how important it was I get this item home. Also that I get the correct one. He let me know that there are no such thing as dumb questions. I felt very comfortable telling him all my concerns and doubts about this item. Unlike the other store where I was made to feel dumb about asking these questions. I have been shopping at Lowe's for many years now. However, thanks to Mr Figueroa for making my bad situation, into a positive situation. I will no longer be shopping at Lowes. Brian from paint is awesome. He deserves a promotion or raise whatever it may be. He knows his stuff and stays calm and cool in high stress situations. I went once and I was clueless as to what paint brushes to use or even what kind of paint or how much I would need. He was able to look at the project I had and help me with all of that. I went back on a Saturday, different project, and Home Depot was packed. Huge line in paint department. Waited my turn. The person who helped me had no idea what she was doing. I would say that 80ish% of this review is mainly in regards to the Garden Center and 20ish for the rest of the store lol. Wow what a beautiful garden center! It's so clean and organized. When you walk in it's like a cut out from a catalog, it's that organized. I can go on and on. I've been coming here a few times over the past 2 weeks to purchase plants for spring/summer planting and am just so shocked. Everything that they have is gorgeous. When I go across the street to the competitor, the Garden Center looks meh. As for the rest of the store, everyone is friendly and I especially like that they don't approach you every 2 seconds to see if you're "finding everything okay?" Employees were friendly, parking lot not a nightmare to drive/park in, plenty of things we were looking at in stock ( never have anything at one near me) and no long wait to check out. Jaden Miller dropped the ball so bad delivering the drywall 2x to my new build site. Then when I get called from him to fix this issue of damaged drywall then they dropped the wrong size. Both times he does not want to take any responsibility. He instead manipulates the situation by saying in the notes I read in home depots communications that I was rude and was giving verbal threats whatever that means. This Jaden literally starts blaming me for both mistakes saying we have had problems delivering to me before. Yes because you guys cannot listen or write or read directions. And you get so flustered when your people and Jaden makes an error that they write disrespectful things about elite clients because that's how a manipulator runs things. We ordered a delivery of wood fencing and other items, only half the order came, no fencing no concrete, the manager refunded our delivery fee. We had to wait a week for another then the fencing that came was full of furry black mold and they were damaged. We had to keep the moldy stuff in our garage till replacements could come. The manager on duty promised us $100.00 off of the order for our inconvenience. We DID NOT receive the $100.00 refund. I spent over an hour on the phone with customer service and the issue still is not resolved. See what this Home Depot location thinks good merchandise looks like. read more

Theres workers walking around not helping them when I left there was 4 workers in front not doing anything just laughing and talking..... the key section was simple all it needed was a associates number only would of took 2 min like seriously I think because as a female I came alone so they didn't take my request seriously. This Home Depot location is rather blah for the most part ... I've never really had a great experience here. I've actually only stopped at this particular location strictly out of mere convenience, because I'm nearby @ either Sam's Club or Sam's Gas Station... The employees @ this particular location seem less competent and less willing to help you than by the Home Depot closer to my home, which is why I try to stay away from this one ... It literally feels like you are inconveniencing the staff here when you ask them a question about something or need help .... There was one particular instance when there was a grill on sale that I wanted to purchase and they were out of stock, so I asked an associate if I could just buy the floor model ... He refused, which I found to be odd - who passes on a sale for a few hundred $$? So, I told him to get a manager over here, so I could ask them, and of course they said that would be fine... Another time I bought a case of light bulbs and several of the bulbs didn't work ... So they were either damaged or someone returned old bulbs ... Who knows right? It's a fairly clean store, the staff is not the most reliable, and at the end of the day you will probably be better off going to another location, especially if you need assistance with something of significance... read more

Brian promptly scanned the product I wanted to see how much they had on hand, found that there were indeed more units in stock, and went to hunt them down for me. He could have just referred me to the department where they were located, leaving me to aimlessly walk around, but instead he went the extra mile to provide full-service and go get them for me. He actually ended up needing to go to receiving to get them out of a box that had not yet been opened. Thank you for being so helpful Brian! This Home Depot is pretty much like every other Home Depot I have been to, except that they have a very clear policy on communicating to customers: There is a guy who stands at the entrance. He's got a beard and very intense eyes. He looks directly at you when you walk in, and greets you, and asks if he can help you find anything. He will ask you this even if it's the third time in an hour you walk in because you keep buying the wrong bolt (I don't know anything about bolts - not my fault. Should have gotten someone who knows about bolts to help instead of me). Once you are inside the store, no employee will make eye contact with you, speak to you, approach you, or otherwise acknowledge you. I'm not saying this is a bad policy - I bet you could always talk to the man at the front. read more

I'm on the black list at Home Depot for making too many returns. Yes, this is actually a thing. I work in property management. My husband and I also flip houses so, I'm in Home Depot a lot! About 4 months ago, I went to Home Depot (on Country Club) and spent about 30 minutes trying to rent a jack hammer for work. I provided my drivers license and no matter what the sales person tried, the system would not process my order. The manager came over to help and was also unsuccessful. I rented it at AZ Equipment Rental (really nice people). Yesterday, I went to Home Depot to return three GFI outlets and two small plumbing parts. I had purchased them with a visa gift card about three days before, for a home repair. The gift card was empty after I made my purchase so I shredded it when I got home (yes, I came to regret that). I had the receipt and my return came to $52. The sales person only had the option to put the money back on the gift card, which I no longer had. I'm always in Home Depot so I asked for a store credit. No matter what the associate tried, store credit was not an option. So I asked the sales associate to process the return without a receipt. You must provide your drivers license when returning something without a receipt, which I did. The sales associate and the manager were not able to put the money on a store gift card. After about 30 minutes, got frustrated and left. The next day, husband tried to make the return and the same thing happened. However, this time the sales associate let slip about this black list. So when my husband told me about it, I googled it. Sure enough, Home Depot has a too many returns black list. Regrettably, (because now I regret giving them my money) two weeks ago my husband and I purchased $5,500 worth of carpet from Home Depot and had it installed. Now, they would not allow us to return $52 worth of stuff! With a receipt! For a store credit! I admit that somewhere along the way this became less about the $52 and more about the injustice of this list. My husband and I just purchased a fixer upper in Tempe. I guess I'm shopping at Lowe's! At work, we are moving over to Lowe's as well. read more

Parking lot is generally vacant of shopping carts which means it's not difficult to pull into a parking space. This location does a fair job of keeping plants alive - gotta mention that cuz it's really sad to frequently see seasonal plants lacking such minimal care as a routine watering. So far so good. Staff is pleasant enough. They see me coming when I come in here with a dog so it's not unusual for someone to ask if I need help finding something. So if you need help, I'll lend you a dog. JK. I usually can ask questions and get fair answers and/or instructions. Most recently I needed questions answered about staining my coop and I needed to know the type of product for the task. Last year I picked up a gas grill thanks to the help of a staff member providing me with the heads up that certain ones were going to be reduced for an upcoming sale. I hustled butt and got in there pronto to get exactly what I wanted too. The guys got it loaded into my vehicle and I was on my way home. Once I got home and we unloaded the grill we learned parts were missing or else it was assembled without all the pieces so we went back to customer service and they broke open a package of the nuts/bolts that were needed to fix the situation. Even plants that I bought on clearance were returned, with my receipt, because they didn't appear to be thriving. I will start off by saying that I did not purchase my fridge in store. I was shopping online to buy my first fridge. I previously had a Samsung french door fridge that had a lot of issues with water freezing in the lines. It was looked at many times and was told it was not fixable... *Sigh* My fridge was a loss, as the kit they made to fix it also did not work.... This made me weary when buying a new fridge. I did not want to get a fridge that was going to have issues. I did a lot of research on a few brands, and decided to go with a Whirlpool. There were many options listed with all the details I needed. What was extremely helpful was that the videos and pictures of each fridge listed, as well as the measurements. I went with a side by side model and purchased a 3 year warranty. I entered all my info and set it up for the delivery date I wanted. I received a call within a few days to finalize my delivery plans. Once the delivery team showed up they moved my old fridge out of the way for me and brought in the new fridge and set it up. Two men had straps over their back and walked my fridge right in and sat it down!!! I was impressed . The team was great!! Friendly and professional. read more

I have used Home Depot for most of my adult life. It is very disappointing to me that I have to sever my ties with them as of today. 2 months ago I purchased a patio set on sale. They were to put it together for me. I checked on by driving to the store and speaking with customer service who told me the set would be ready to pick up later that day. I went back to pick it up and was then told that they do have it and their stock showed- 1. They said all they could do was refund my money. I told them that I got a smoking deal on the set and would like another one. I argued that this was there fault as they sold mine to someone else and they should replace it. They ended up getting the manager involved who also argued that there was not they could do. He finally thought of a way to order me another. I received it and my plan was to never purchase anything that I could not carry out of the store again. Well I went back today to pick up some brick and plants. I had to take the purchase to the other side of the store to check out. I asked the lady at self checkout to help me with the brick. Her response was, " Didn't you get the sku? I said no. She then looked it up and was going to select the 3.00$ a brick picture. I told her that was not the the right one. I ended up walking back to take a picture of the sku to give to her .72cents a brick. After she stepped away from the checkout machine I asked her if she got 10 bricks. Her response was, " do you see the ten at the bottom of the square?" She was rude and condescending. I will not step foot in Home Depot ever again. The customer service is argumentative and condescending and they do not want to solve the problem, they want you out of their store so they don't have to work. Here I come Lowes... read more

I am normally a Home Depot guy, so I went to them first for my 3000 sq ft flooring replacement! My wife and I Sat with Peter for over an hour going room by room for tile or carpeting, They wanted $50.00 deposit for measurement and would be credited IF we went with them. We paid, and scheduled the measurement. Then we received the quote but for 100% carpet. I called Peter and he said that we had to come back to adjust room by room. Said we did that? In the meantime I have had 5 other companies come out for free measurement and estimates....so I asked if I could get a refund of my $50.00? NOPE, store policy....not even a store credit. Now to be clear, Peter was wonderful on our first visit and I have no issue with him.....but DO NOT BUY FLOORING a from Home Depot...policy of paying for a measurement/estimate is NOT competitive and I do not know if their price is right....never got that far...and not investing any more TIME to find out!
