My…read moreemotional reaction due to this place has blinded my ability to write an appropriate response that wouldn't be taken down. It has been a while, however the pain and my now distorted perception of doctors will always be with me. My wife and I had been trying to get pregnant on our own and were not having any luck. After she and I discussed our options we decided we would go to Diaz. After checking some of my wife's levels, Diaz decided he wanted to preform a procedure to check my wife's fallopian tubes. Myself being new to the infertility world, I didn't know fully what that meant, Diaz showed us a picture of what open fallopian tubes should look like with someone else's HSG image. We scheduled the procedure thinking that we were getting the HSG because of the picture shown to us. Later we found out that he was really performing an SIS, which imagery is completely different. After the procedure, I was invited back into the office, and Diaz bluntly stated that my wife's fallopian tubes were blocked. We. Were. Devastated. I asked Diaz to see the results of the testing/procedure he had just completed. Instead of showing us the recently taken images, he showed us the same HSG image from before and said that both tubes on my wife were blocked. He never showed us the actual images of my wife's tubes; he only continued to say they were blocked and showed us the same HSG image (which wasn't even an SIS image, which is what he ACTUAL did). The news of having blocked tubes was crippling to my wife. She continued to beat herself up and blame herself and going down the rabbit hole as to WHY her tubes were blocked. This anguish didn't deter her or our desire to continue in trying to have a child. And so after talking with Diaz (and sadly listening to Diaz) we went forward with the IVF process. We invested in the medicine and started twice a day in her abdomen. When her follicles didn't grow at the speed Diaz wanted, he doubled her medicine. Twice her dosage was increased while only checking follicle size, and nothing else. The office would not regularly check her numbers, and days went by. No additional blood tests or panels were taken. After waiting DAYS for an appointment, she went in and had her numbers checked (finally) and it was shown that she had already ovulated. That round was over and we were out thousands of dollars. All because they didn't schedule her and Diaz didn't check numbers throughout the medication process. Again... We. Were. Devastated. We decided we wouldn't go back to Diaz for any more infertility issues. His neglect of care and passive attention to patient care was very apparent and we were done with him. At this point we didn't fully understand all the damage he had caused, but we knew we were not treated well during the IVF process. After finding a new doctor and discussing our previous experience with infertility, they recommended doing an actual HSG test. We agreed, since we had only had the SIS test with Diaz. After my wife had the HSG test, I was able to go in and personally see... her tubes were open. The doctor had the image up on the computer, and showed my wife's name next to the image and said, her fallopian tubes are open and fine. This was amazing news in the moment, but it turned bitter sweet when we realized, Diaz specifically told us that her tubes were blocked. As soon as we left that doctor's office, we called Diaz to explain to him the news of NOT having blocked tubes. He was emotionless, he stated that his records said that the tests he did in his office were "inconclusive". We reminded him of when we were sitting in his office and crying as he repeatedly said "her tubes are blocked". We reminded him that he was the one who said because of her blocked tubes, we should move forward with IVF. He continued to avoid any direct responsibility. He offered free rounds of IUI's and to take the bills away that his office continued to charge, but he never accepted the devastating toll his neglect brought on. We declined his offer of doing IUI's. With zero trust in him and his staff, there was no reason to ever go to his office again. Thousands of dollars paid to unnecessary medicine and treatment. To additionally prove his worthlessness, when our new doctor received the patient records from Diaz, "inconclusive" was written in a different color ink compared to the rest of the notes. It looked as though Diaz had gone back after our phone call with him and written "inconclusive" multiple times to cover up his prior statement of her tubes being blocked. Our new doctor was able to help us get pregnant with zero IVF medication. We were seen regularly so that ovulation could be tracked. If you only take one thing out of my review, please have it be this: Avoid Diaz and his office at all costs. Go to literally anyone else.

Their patient coordinator Lupe was so helpful on explaining the charges so we knew exactly what the costs were going to be. I've never been to a doctors office where I felt such kindness from everyone there. You can truly tell that they all love their life's work! Our daughter and her husband have been trying for over 4 years to have a baby. From the first consultation, we knew if anyone could make their dream come true it would be Dr. Werlin. His wisdom and they way he explains everything was amazing! Besides being amazing, Dr. Werlin starts seeing patients at 6:30am which is so great. Going through IVF is a long process, our daughter never had to miss work or go in late because of the early appointments. That really took a lot of stress off of trying to juggle work and appointments. I was blessed as the future Grandma to be aIble to go to most off her appointments and embryo transfer procedures. This was beyond amazing for me. It was also a comfort for our daughter for me to be there with her. She really needed and wanted the moral support after so many years of trying to become a Mom. It was always so much fun to be in the exam room and hearing Dr. Werlin walking down the hall to see us and hearing "Where is my Kel-Bell (his nickname for her) and Mom?" or to hear him singing along to the great music playing in his office. Not the typical office musak, but good ol' Rock like The Rolling Stones etc. Dr. Werlin is very happy and upbeat even that early in the morning. Another great thing that Dr. Werlin does, is that he was ALWAYS the one calling with the lab reports/results where as so many other doctors hand that task off to an assistant/nurse. His personal touch was always so much appreciated. Especially the phone call on 6/21/2021 when he called our daughter.... that is a moment in time that we will never forget. My husband and I were at our daughter and Son-In-Laws house when the phone call came in from Dr. Werlin and his staff when they all yelled at the same time "YOU'RE PREGNANT" we all broke into tears. That's a moment that we will NEVER forget. I've already started our Grandsons baby book with a photo of each ultrasound along with any info that Dr. Werlin gave us during the appointments. Of course, Dr. Werlin is on the 1st page so our Grandson will know what incredible man helped to bring him into our family. The ONLY negative thing that we can say is.... we wish he could be her OB/GYN and carry her through her entire pregnancy and deliver our grandson too. We cannot think of a nicer doctor to see her through the whole pregnancy. It was a bittersweet day at 12 weeks when she "graduated" from his office. My truthful experience…read more.. I started this process in approx. March 2022 ended in approx. May 2022 I chose this facility with the hopes of getting pregnant at 41. I chose the $8000 package which essentially turned out to be approximately $14,000 minus $3000 which they were willing to give me back. Each appointment was scheduled in the morning some at 7:20 am and after driving for approximately an hour and 15 minutes a few times only to find that twice it wasn't open, yet waiting in my car until 8:00 am. Communication could and should be WAY better. More follow-up calls are needed, and more patient checks to see how we are doing and if we have questions. (I had none from anyone but the Dr. for a total of four calls) Most of the time the Dr. called with lab results or I called or emailed questions. It takes forever to get a response. I had several ultrasounds and vaginal ultrasounds at this facility. Approx. on the third ultrasound, the Dr. says you might have fibroids. I ask him if I need to go to my primary care Dr. to get this checked before we start anything, the Dr. says "no we can handle that here, don't worry". I had to call several times to find out what the next steps were. I was then called by the financial department representative stating that I needed a cryo test which was approx. $600 and not included in the package for IVF. I paid for it and did the test, the results were good to go. I was then told that the Dr. was placing me on birth control for seven days. I was asked to do another vaginal ultrasound and on that day told that the Dr. was going on vacation soon. I started the birth control and continued office visits with two other Dr.'s as I was leaving I was told I needed to pay approx. 200 for the visit. I paid it as no one told me when I would pay the 8,000. I received a call from the financial department requesting the 8,000 payment. I asked if the $200 would be deducted they said no and I paid the 8,000. I was told before the Dr. left for vacation I was "good to go" and everything looked great. I at that point had several vaginal ultrasounds, and good blood work along with the dye test for my tubes which was done at another facility through my network, and both tubes were open. I was then told to purchase the 6,000 meds. I purchased them. I was given a 10-minute class on how to use them and sent videos. I started meds and was told I would be on them for approx. 11 days then my egg retrieval. By this time I had spent the aprx. $14,000. When the Dr. returned from vacation I did my last ultrasound before retrieval and was told while naked on the table, "I can't do the retrieval you have too many fibroids that need to be removed". I cried like a baby whose world had been snatched away. The Dr. said "I know I know I am sorry but we can do an IUI. At this point, all types of things were in my head, so I agreed because I felt there was still hope. On the day of the IUI the assistant gives the Dr. the wrong size clamps three times meanwhile I am laying there naked, sperm thawed waiting, and finally had an unsuccessful IUI. I then I get the bills and reimbursement email...I got 3,000 of my 14,000 and an IUI that was unsuccessful lost time and emotionally drained. They email me an itemized total and I see $1500 for a 10-minute IVF meds class WTH. By this time I felt swindled and taken advantage of. Everyone is nice until you start requesting money back and explanations. I requested my complete medical file two weeks ago and still have not received it, then I called and the response was "we are extremely busy and the regular office clerk is on vacation I am doing what I can, we will get it out to you". I basically took meds for IVF for no reason (waisted $6000) and paid 5000 for an IUI. I wasn't going to leave a review but I was encouraged to do so in the event someone need this message.

After feeling broken down my husband and I decided we would wait a few more months since IVF Is a huge financial burden and can typically take many rounds before success. After only one month of changing my diet to fit my PCOS needs I was able to conceive on my own after two years of trying. Please if you have PCOS, it's different for different people but please be sure to do what you can naturally because lots of people have success when they make changes to their diets. But this review is about my entire experience with egg freezing here -- and the frustrations have buried the highlights. I genuinely wanted to love this place. I just can't. Start with billing, which has been a nightmare. I need my invoices for medical reimbursement -- that's money I'm owed back -- and despite staff promising to "expedite things," it took 2.5 to 3 months to get them, lack of email responses, calls with no number to call back, extensions that only goes to empty voicemails, after they'd sat marked "pending" for nearly two months. And when I finally reviewed the charges, the refund amounts had been added up wrong. So now I'm double-checking their math too. To fix it, I had to chase a separate department on East Coast time, which became an endless game of phone tag. Their billing is somehow both impossible to reach and disorganized once you do. I came on a referral specifically for Dr. Dilday, and everything was fine -- until the morning of my procedure, when I was casually told she wouldn't be performing it. Instead it'd be whoever was on rotation. How is the day-of an acceptable time to learn that the entire reason I chose this clinic isn't the person operating on me? A heads-up days in advance is not a big ask. Dr. Dilday did visit me, which was genuinely sweet -- but one kind gesture can't paper over how poorly this was communicated. Then the anesthesia, which still upsets me. I told the anesthesia team and every doctor that I come out of anesthesia rough -- clearly and repeatedly. Nobody believed me. The anesthesiologist brushed me off, saying that in all his years he'd never had a problem, and any issues before were because I hadn't had him. Well -- I had an adverse reaction. I woke up in traumatic, screaming pain, a 20 out of 10, exactly what I'd warned about. I wish he'd taken me seriously as he weaned me off the medication after the OR. My recovery was far worse than the two similar procedures I've had before -- genuinely concerning -- and I'm left wondering if it was the technique, the anesthesia, or both. When a patient tells you exactly what will happen to their body and you ignore them, this is what you get. Now the pharmacy. CCRM uses an outside pharmacy, and that was its own disaster. The driver "missed the delivery window," and then management couldn't even locate their own driver for hours. When they finally found him, he had to meet me at a dinner venue -- where I walked out in front of all my friends to grab a giant cooling box for medication I did not want to explain to anyone. I was over an hour and a half late to my event, then had to inconvenience someone to store the meds in their fridge, which meant sharing a deeply personal situation I'd have preferred to keep private. I basically lost a whole day on the phone juggling team members over a pickup that should have been a simple delivery. And all that chaos traced back to one decision: the clinic sent only a single day's loaned dose. So of course I then had to call the on-call doctor after hours to report I didn't have what I needed for day two. I still don't understand why they couldn't just loan two days' worth so nobody has to scramble. It got worse. Right before my trigger injection -- the most time-sensitive, do-not-mess-this-up part of the whole process -- the on-call doctor clearly hadn't read the notes from the physician before him. He instructed me to start a medication I was never given and that was never ordered. I was at work, and he sent me into a full panic attack, because I couldn't drop everything to figure out what I supposedly had, literally the second-to-last day before my trigger. The lack of professionalism, the broken handoffs, the total breakdown in communication between departments, physicians, and billing -- it has genuinely let me down. And it's worse because this could be such a great place. The talent is here, the reputation is real, and I drove two hours each way because of it. I could have stayed local, but I took the referral and did my research -- only to find out how much exhausting, unnecessary work this would be. Roughly four months later, I'm still chasing invoices that don't add up or aren't complete enough to even submit. Fertility patients are already carrying enough emotionally, physically, and financially. It should not be this exhausting. The anxiety, the frustration, the helplessness, and the feeling of not being heard at times really don't make this experience with CCRM. When I asked the woman on the phone to double-check, she just kept repeating that their records said someone named Dana called and that the link had been sent five times. But I never received anything. What made it worse was how unhelpful and cold the response was. I asked if we could reschedule sooner and was told the next available appointment wouldn't be until the end of September. There was no apology, no explanation, and no effort to help us find a solution. Her tone was flat and dismissive, which only made the whole thing more frustrating. IVF is a stressful and emotional process, and it really matters how patients are treated, especially when something goes wrong. We felt like we didn't matter at all. I hope someone in management sees this and takes it seriously. We were excited to work with this clinic, but after this experience, we are not so sure anymore.

I spent 9 months with Dr. Anderson and left with no progress and a recommendation to consider donor…read moreeggs. I'm writing this so no one in a similar situation wastes the same precious time I did. Background: I came to him at 36 with severe DOR -- AMH of 0.03 and FSH consistently above 15. His approach was to wait until my FSH naturally fell to 15 or below before starting IVF. For someone in perimenopause, that's very unlikely. He also refuses to use estrogen priming to help lower FSH, citing egg quality concerns -- a position that, per multiple other specialists I've since spoken to, is not backed by current evidence. The biggest driver of egg quality is age, not estrogen priming. After nearly a year of waiting, disappointing appointments, and being told donor eggs might be my only option, I found Dr. Wayne Lin at FCOC (Amazing doctor!!). He immediately came up with a game plan, starting with estrogen priming. I told him what Dr. A said and Lin assured me the biggest driver of egg quality is age, not estrogen priming. Lin put me on estrogen to bring my FSH down and started IVF right away. He gave me a realistic 30% chance of a normal embryo at my age. His facts were exact. Out of 3 eggs retrieved, only 1 was normal. She is now my healthy, bouncing, 14-month-old daughter. I later found out that Dr. Anderson is widely considered one of the most conservative fertility doctors in Orange County, and that some of his data points and methods appear to be outdated. His bedside manners are also a 5/10. At one appointment, as he walked in for yet another day 3 ultrasound and commented, "Boy, you're persistent". I was surprised, but I was willing to put up with him because I thought he was the best. However, I later found that Lin is a much more skilled doctor with unbeatable bedside manners. As for the office itself, it runs efficiently -- you're rarely waiting more than 10 minutes, and the finance department is genuinely skilled at navigating insurance issues, which is no small thing in the fertility world. The nursing staff was a mixed bag; about two-thirds were nice, but the remaining third had a cold, very 'Newport Beach' vibe -- like you were an inconvenience rather than a patient going through one of the hardest experiences of your life. That contrast was especially noticeable after switching to Dr. Lin's office, where every single nurse is kind and empathetic without exception. Conclusion: If your FSH is over 15 and he won't start IVF: LEAVE. Get a second opinion now. Time matters enormously in fertility treatment, and I wish someone had told me this sooner.

IVF is a time consuming journey but I'm so lucky to get pregnant after 1 round of egg retrieval and 1 transfer. Envita's amazing team made this happen. Dr. Abae is extremely knowledgeable, patient, and caring. He never rushed any of my appointments and does not use "one size fit all" protocol which I'm very grateful for. He always takes time to read and analyze every test result, do each of my ultrasound, and answer all of our questions very thoroughly. He makes sure everything is perfect before diving into the next step and no wonder they have such good success rates :) The lab team is also so nice and experienced, Dr. Asemi was able to fertilize 9 high-grade embryos for us despite my low egg quality due to PCOS. She also patiently answered tons of questions before we chose the embryo. The nurses (Maria and Liz) are both so supportive and welcoming the whole time, making me feel much less anxious during the IVF treatment. They even have a direct line which patients could call them for any questions after work hours. I can't appreciate them more. Last but definitely not least, thanks to my awesome coordinator Becky and the office manager Minyi, they are angels! I could have never completed this journey without them. I followed every instruction, every protocol, and trusted the process, but it felt like no one was really invested in my individual journey or well-being. To make matters worse, the treatments took a huge toll on my health. I gained a lot of weight, my hormones have been completely out of balance, and I've never felt this unhealthy--physically or emotionally. Infertility is already such a painful road, and I truly wish I had received more thoughtful care and honest communication throughout. I hope others have a better experience, but I wouldn't recommend this clinic based on what I went through.
