    Paneer Makhani & Vegetable Korma
    Sarah T.

Great place for takeout. It can be a little pricey but they give larger portions so we usually get 2 meals from an order. We love the Paneer Makhani and Vegetable Korma. We were sad when the Vegetable Korma was removed from the menu. There a plenty of Vegetarian options and service is fast.

1/2 tandoori chicken only 2 qtr legs barely any meat
    Norriena J.

I spent $25 for a 1/2 chicken tandoori, samosas chaat, and 6oz of rice! Never again! 1/2 chicken is just 2 quarter legs barely any chicken meat!!!!!!! Tough and not worth what I was charged ,$13. (It was sitting in a salad which is weird cause I didn't order salad - stop the salad, more chicken please!! - see pictures!!) Samosa chaat, 1 samosa cut in half sitting in a few scoops of chaat, $8. (Not pictured) this was tasty but for $8 I am not impressed. White rice just plain regular rice ! (Not pictured) I won't eat here again If it wasn't n so cold outside I would've taken the food back.

Butter Chicken (24oz) basmati rice and butterfly earring

I've been eating here for years- ordering delivery while at work and picking up dinner. Today I picked up butter chicken at 1 p.m. on the way home and due to my schedule I didn't get to eat until now. Luckily I hadn't eaten this. Just a little disappointed that someone lost an entire earring and didn't say anything. Food was delicious- glad I noticed this before it damaged any dental work.

Used to have a lot of sauce and was delicious. Not anymore

Not sure what they did to the paneer kadai but please change it back! Used to order the same dish for 5 years almost weekly. I'll keep checking back after a month or so to test. The recipe and the portions have gotten worse and I probably will not order again.

Paneer tikka masala, Plain Samosa and Mango Lassi
    Nina Z.

Came here for dinner after getting ash last Wednesday and found so many great vegetarian options. We ordered way too much - paneer pizza, samosas, tikka masala rice bowl, gulab jamun and a mango lassi. Everything was delicious. The staff was friendly and the cute little spot has indoor and outdoor seating for you to enjoy your meal there.

The food was decent. Biryani isn't authentic biryani but pulav with corns, beans, onions served with raita. Raita is reallly tasty. Good option if you are craving for Indian food. Vada pav was also not just a bun with potato tikki in between. It was okay. Pavs were not soft. It was hard to chew.

    Kabob bowl w/paneer
    Rachel S.

Came here for the first time for dinner on a weeknight with a friend. I ordered the kabob bowl with paneer and veggies as sides, which also came with half a piece of naan bread. Total came out to approximately $15. What's hot - Menu. Pretty simple and straightforward. It's not an extensive menu, but there appears to be something for everyone- meats vegetarian, and I think vegan. As I explain below, their menu is more westernized, but it's not a bad thing. This may not be as ethnic as real Indian food, but they don't hide the fact that they're westernized. - Quality. Pretty delish. Again, it's not the most ethnic Indian food, but it's pretty good. My paneer was pan fried and somewhat seasoned, so it was pretty tasty. My friend really likes their naan pizza and it looked pretty tasty, too. - Price. Not bad. It's less than $20 for one person, which isn't bad. However, if you're hungry and/or with a group of people, be prepared to pay more to share. - Portions. Pretty decent size portions for one. - Health and safety. All the staff I saw wore face masks. During this time of the pandemic, when things are still uncertain, it's reassuring seeing businesses, that interact with the people, take precautions. What's not - Portions. Surprisingly, I wasn't full after finishing my food. My point is to be prepared that these aren't generous portions, which is important to be aware of when you're hungry, especially if you're in a group and/or sharing food. - Quality. It's not true ethnic Indian food. After all, there's naan pizza, which appears to be popular and looks delicious. To be fair, it's not bad, but if you're looking for really good ethnic Indian food, this place isn't for you. For example, my food didn't taste well-seasoned and flavorful as ethnic Indian food should be. - Price. For almost $16, it's not the greatest exchange for value. Final answer Willing to come back. It's not my first choice for ethnic Indian food, but it's good Indian food with an American twist and is dependable.

Chipotle for Indian food. Rice bowl done better. Choice of the PG hospital residents! Went regular spicy and it was spicy! Also ordered for 5 and couldn't figure out who got what since everything looked similar. The tofu was a little tough, the chickpeas terrific. Menu forced you to get two of these and two of those. Couldn't deviate from the app. Uber eats worked well. Good experience.

    Make your own bowl.

Yum. This food looks and tastes amazing. Easy to order and food comes out quick. I recommend this to anyone in the College Park/Hyattsville area.

I don't know what to have expected because I'm gonna be honest I haven't had Indian food ever in the 30 years of living. But with that being said the way Indian food is always described, it seems that it should have a certain essence of spice and flavor which I felt was lacking both. I feel that the dish was a good portion size and that everything was just OK. The garlic naan lacked the flavor of garlic except for the few rubs on the bread unevenly. It was chewy and warm upon arrival but just wasn't what I expected. I'm not an Indian food connoisseur but I feel that this place is only as good as chipotle being good to the Hispanic cultures. When I try dishes from other countries I wanna taste the essence of just that as if I'm there. But not to be dramatic it's a chain Indian restaurant and would I eat here again, yea sure but gonna try to find an authentic Indian spot first

My friend and I split a dal and the spring dosa, both of which were delicious. Others at our table had the iddly , the lamb tandoori, and the mango lassi and gave them rave reviews. We were headed to Amber Spice for a late lunch, and fortunately, we made it in before the 2:45pm cutoff (I called ahead to check). Since it was almost lunch closing, they did request that we place our orders soon after being seated. We already knew what we wanted to order, so we didn't feel rushed otherwise. We started with the veggie samosas ($6, two pieces), which were served with the traditional tamarind sauce and spicy cilantro chutney. The samosas were packed with the potato and pea filling and had a lightly crisp exterior. They were as good as any. For my entree, I ordered the butter chicken ($20), which is served with a side of basmati rice. When ordering, the waiter didn't ask about spice level. I did find their butter chicken to have some heat to it, but it wasn't anything crazy - I'd say a 3/10 for spiciness - I felt the warmth. The chicken was super tender and moist. I would be happy getting this again. I also ordered the garlic naan ($5), because you have to have something to sop up the curry goodness. The naan was hot and fresh; you could also taste the garlic. One basket came with four pieces (one whole naan), which is perfect for sharing. I finished the meal with the gulab jamun ($6) for dessert which came with three pieces of the fried dough balls served in a sweet syrup. My friend ordered the mango kulfi and loved it! She described it as a mango lassi, but frozen, which made it that much more light and refreshing. Amber Spice is a casual dining spot and it has the service to match. We were brought a carafe of water for the table to start, so it was self-serve the rest of the way. Food was brought out quickly and plates were cleared at the end, but we weren't checked on during the meal. Perhaps since we arrived near lunch closing, service was winding down, but we got what we needed. I enjoyed the food here and would come again. Everything that we had was not only super tasty, but also reasonably priced. There's also plenty of parking in the shopping center.

A newcomer to Masala Story I was impressed with the customer service, relaxed atmosphere and flavorful food. I got the Lamb curry with the Garlic Naan. Everything was packaged in a paper bag and the sides were double wrapped with foil and labeled on top to distinguish the different sides. I ordered the palak paneer (full side - $10), black daal (half side - $7), and veggie samosas. I'm not sure how the full and half translate to ounces, but side by side, I feel like I'm getting gypped somehow - like the half isn't half and the full isn't full (and not in a beneficial way)... you can look at my pics and be the judge. We enjoyed the veggie samosas ($7.50 on Grubhub, comes with two pieces). It was served with the sweet tamarind sauce (no mint cilantro chutney/green sauce). The samosas had good crunchy texture and weren't too spicy. The palak paneer and black daal were adequate but not my favorite. The palak paneer had a few large chunks of paneer at the bottom (but I wouldn't say generous) and the flavor was too gingery for me. The black daal was pretty standard in terms of flavor, and a little chunkier than I'm used to. But, I do love daal anything, so this fit the bill. Food was just okay overall - I don't plan on adding this place to my normal rotations.
