There is both a sweets shop and a restaurant all in one place. The sweets are very creatively decorated and variety of different flavors. The sweets are really tasting and mouth watering. They make a great gift. Love the history of the place of how they have variety of pictures of the Resturant back in India and how they came up to originate in Canada. Very nice and friendly staff. Love the vibe of the Resturant they have a truck in the back for decoration and you are able to go inside to take a picture. The food and the environment are great and highly recommended. They have poles outside of the place on each pole has a different city in Punjabi. If you look at every detail of the place it's amazing. Check it out. Finally got a chance to dine in and I must say it was the most fun experience I've had in a restaurant! We stopped by just for some appys - I only got the samosa chaat. But we already knew the food was going to be good since we've been taking it out for years. The service and ambience is what we were interested in. And boy oh boy the decoration of this place is amazing! It's not fancy like Tastys Indian Bistro, BUT it's even better (in my opinion). They have a huge front part of an Indian bus in a corner which intermittently "turns on" and honks and plays music! Kids can even go up and take a picture inside -which I think is awesome cause most restaurants would be lame and have a 'no climbing sign' or something. All the little touches, from the fan shaped menus to the cute servers outfits show that this restaurant wants families to come here to eat good food and have a good time! And of course before leaving we had to pick up a box of sweets to enjoy at home. Which I recommend everyone who comes here to do cause their sweets are legendary! read more

Setting: The setting is very cute, there is nice decor all around from the paintings to the little truck statue inside, feels like your in India. Service: The Staff are very friendly and quick. I went to your store on Saturday Oct 24th 20 (print date is wrong on your receipt) and while purchasing sweets, there was a fly inside the sweets counter (where the sweets are kept) which I generously pointed out. My comments were immediately pushed back saying it is a fruit fly and is harmless. I did not want to hurt the business and emailed but your email does not work. I do not agree with this statement that fruit fly are harmless. Any kind of insect needs to be taken seriously if found on food. This is my go to restaurant whenever I crave for some yummy Indian vegetarian food. Till now, I have tried most of the items from their menu. My favourites are dal makhni, garlic naan, chhole bathure, masala mojito, lassi and paneer tikka. On Sundays, they have makki roti and saag special, which is really good. Service is great and the ambience gives you a feel of Punjab. They have a sweet shop, you also get great paneer there ( not the frozen ones). Most of the food items are delicious - though, I recommend their top-seller (I guess) Chholey Bhature, Amritsari Kulcha, Mango lassi. The order came with Delicious Chole, Potato stuffed kulcha (mildly leavened flatbread, version of naan) which was yummy, delicious raita and onions and pickles. We also ordered a salted lassi which was authentic. They have 2 sections: one for restaurant and the other for buying sweets and snacks. I love how they've tried to show Punjabi culture in their restaurant decorations. The use of copper utensils, use of punjabi hand fan as a menu card, display of beautifully painted matki (earthen pots) is lovely! I was amazingly surprised by this restaurant. Frankly, I didn't have any expectations before I entered this place unplanned. And, to my surprise, this place was really good, and that's not just because my expectations may have been on the lower end. They have a lovely selection of Indian sweets mostly milk based. There were easily 40 different varieties in different shapes and colours. The place seems extremely popular with the local Indian community as there was non-stop foot traffic coming in and getting large boxes of sweets to go. We settled on some ras malai and chai. The paneer had a nice texture, and there was a hint of cardamom in the creamy sauce. The chai was not overly spiced and complemented the dessert nicely. Service was REALLY friendly as well. You order at the counter and she brings everything to your table when it is ready. Bill for the 2 of us, including ras malai and 2 chais was under $5! Crazy! North Delta isn't my usual area, but I was helping a friend with something one day and on the way home, had some cravings for Indian food. With several restaurants in the area to choose from, I wasn't sure what it was that drew me to this one particularly, maybe it was the statue of someone with a child dressed in traditional clothes outside the door? Prices were a bit higher than some of the other places in the area as mentioned, though the service was worth it. I forgot to snap a photo of it, but the little wooden wagon that my pakoras were served on was really cute. Wanted to pick up some sweets on my way out too, but I had already spent $20 on lunch and am on a budget, so maybe another time! The washrooms alone are already worth 5 stars. I took a different bus route the other day to meet the guy I am dating, therefore, stopped here since I was early (the bus came every ten minutes at the time so I was good). I bought some sweets obviously. This place has actually been on my bucket list the last time I took a similar bus route 6 months ago. Very friendly staff who enjoyed my burger muffs. They have a good mixture of savory snacks as well, however, a good display of Indian Sweets. I got a box of assorted hand picked sweets, mostly coconut inspired. The price was very very reasonable. I was on my way to the gigantic shopping plaza in Surrey where there are many, many Indian restaurants and shops when I found this gem on the way.
