Great food, fantastic and friendly service! The food is really tasty but a little higher spice levels can make it even better.

A friend recommended the new Indian restaurant in Belmont, so my wife and I dropped in for a trial dinner. Very nice decor, friendly service, complimentary appetizer--overall, a professional first impression. The menu is mostly North Indian and remarkably extensive for a small restaurant. We ordered a couple of Indian restaurant standards, lamb saag and tandoori chicken, to see how Spice Delight's versions stack up. And wow! The lamb saag in particular was easily the best we've ever tasted, and the chicken tandoori was exceptionally moist and flavorful. Clearly, there are some awesome cooks at work in the kitchen who take the restaurant's "spice delight" name quite seriously. We can hardly wait to explore the rest of the menu. read more

My husband and I tried Spice Delight for the first time and agreed it was maybe the best Indian food we have ever had.

Ordered butter chicken, garlic naan and chat samosas. The chicken was great! Generous portion with rice and medium was just the right amount of spice. A bit of the pricey side but did have plenty for leftovers. Only thing we didn't like was the naan. Wasn't very flavorful and was very flat. Not warm and fluffy read more

The food is so good here. I have only done pickup, but the space is welcoming and comfortable. We loved the samosas and the butter chicken.

Unbelievable! Truly the best Indian food I've had in a very long time. We ordered soup, two appetizers and three entrées, along with raita and garlic naan. And there were only two of us! We couldn't help ourselves after seeing what our neighbors had. The staff were super s, too. The only downside of posting this review is that it will be harder to get a table when we're back in a few weeks. No doubt... this place is a rising star! Update: We've been back twice more! Outstanding flavors, everything was top quality, a great value. We dropped in for lunch at this new restaurant in our neighborhood and were really pleased. The papadums brought out while we looked over the menu were just right - fresh and not greasy. We ordered the $10 lunch special and were delighted with the well-balance flavors and spicing as well as the tenderness of everything from chicken masala and chicken curry to dal, purri bread and dessert. The lunch special came with a choice of rice pudding or dessert balls in sweet syrup. Usually these are not our favorite but in this case both were delicious, better than those at any other Indian restaurant we've been to. We will be going back to Spice Delight soon. They should give Indian cooking lessons on weekends. read more

Terrible. The lamb korma wasn't lamb. I don't know what meat they used butn it was not lamb. I'm guessing beef chuck or shoulder.

Terrible food. I would give less than one star if possible. The paneer tikka was hard and impossible to bite into. Baingan bharta had no resemblance to any eggplant dish. Lamb curry was okay, but spices weren't balanced at all. Only positive was the service and the waitress. read more

Love this place. I especially appreciate the ability to determine the spice level. My standbys are Aloo Gobi, Saag Paneer, Chicken Tiki Masala and regular Naan (sometimes garlic) but always Pashwari Naan. Great addition to the neighborhood. Belmont hasn't had a decent Indian restaurant in, well, maybe forever. The food tastes fresh and like it was made to order. It doesn't have that heavy greasy taste like a lot of Indian restaurants. The last time I got take out the chicken tikka masala, mutter paneer, and the pakoras were all standouts. I definitely plan to eat my way through the menu. My only minor complaint is that the aloo naan seemed slightly odd, perhaps, a different recipe. We really like this restaurant. Food is great and people are super nice. We usually get the same thing and my kids love it. Only thing is I'll never understand why some restaurants have a tv in the dining room. We are all trying to get away from screens right? We would probably enjoy the space better if they just played Indian music to go along with the cuisine instead of a soccer match or weird video. read more

Easily the best Indian restaurant in the area (and surrounding towns). Only been in business for a few months at the time of this review, Spice Delight has a polished and modern interior, and incredible curry dishes. I've been to this restaurant about 7-8 times, and my two favorite dishes are Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala. My only complaint is that for some of their curry dishes, the chicken pieces can be a little too hard. Not sure if this is contingent upon the dish, or just occasional subpar meat quality. Some of the other really good Indian places I've been to also seem to have this problem, where on occasion the chicken meat is too hard and chewy. But overall, 5/5 for consistently delicious curries. read more

Delicious! I was torn between lamb vindaloo and goat biryani (the guys one table over were feasting on it). The Vindaloo was done to perfection with basmati rice and papads. What a delight to find this gem of a restaurant in Belmont. The lamb biryani here was as beautiful as it was delicious. The goat Korma was full of flavorful, tender meat in a rich sauce, served with perfectly cooked rice. The mango lassi we enjoyed for dessert was creamy, bright yellow, delicious and refreshing. The service was helpful and polite, and the white tablecloths with wine-colored cloth napkins contribute to an especially attractive place to sit down to dinner. Give Spice Delight a try.
