Generous portion of rice served w/entree.

It's truly a delight dining at this Indian restaurant. The service is attentive, friendly & quick. The complimentary papadum is light & crisp. We ordered vegetarian samosa and Aloo Matar that's served with a generous portion of rice. They're masters at adjusting the requested spice level. Everything was delicious! Street parking is plentiful.

Highly recommended by friends so went here. Must say, they have good food! Vegetable Manchurian- ooh myy goddd!!!! Didn't expect this to be so good outside of India! Loved it! Perfect amount of gravy and sauces with the Manchurian! Loved it! Malai Kofta - again, yummmmyyyy!!! Awesome gravy, perfectly cooked, flavorful! They serve it with rice. Garlic naan- soft and nice! They also have good music playing on the TV!

I ordered chicken tikka masala, saag paneer, and plain naan through DoorDash. I took the advice from Yelp reviews and only ordered medium spice level. The saag paneer tasted mild, but the chicken tikka masala was more spicy. The chicken tikka masala was rather sweet, so if I order from here again I will up the spice level to hot.

Love this place! The food is ready fast, the people who work there are always friendly, and the food is delicious. They sprinkled some parsley on top for takeout which was a nice touch that made it look more like dining in. The saag paneer is rich yet still light (not at all gloppy). Super yummy and easy to stretch into a few meals if you're not ravenously hungry.

Great food, fantastic and friendly service! The food is really tasty but a little higher spice levels can make it even better.

The food is so good here. I have only done pickup, but the space is welcoming and comfortable. We loved the samosas and the butter chicken.

Terrible. The lamb korma wasn't lamb. I don't know what meat they used butn it was not lamb. I'm guessing beef chuck or shoulder.

My family and I was craving Indian food today and one of our Indian friends recommended this (new…read moreto us) place in Watertown (near/behind the Lexus dealership). It was convenient to get to with plenty of parking up front. Its about 5 minutes from Arsenal Yards. The restaurant looks pretty modern and trendy, with several tables on the side for dining in. I was promptly greeted upon entry with a smile. Picking up my takeout order was easy and quick. Food was packaged well and secure - important for this cuisine as you don't want to lose any of the sauces! The food portions are really good and pricing is pretty reasonable given the times, and pricing of similar restaurants in the area. More importantly, the quality and tastes of the food was exquisite! Good Indian food takes time and care in preparation to ensure the flavors are balanced with properly prepared ingredients. The texture of the meats and veggies were spot-on, with great balance in flavor. It wasn't overbearing and I think their flavors are flexible enough to cater to most palates. The chicken 65 was surprisingly not soggy, given this was take out. The butter chicken was so creamy with generous chicken pieces that were tender but not falling apart. The chicken tikka had great flavors and similarly well prepared chicken pieces. The garlic naan was actually flavorful, and is very evidently crafted onsite vs mass produced. The chicken biriyani was probably the standout dish. It was prepared with fluffy basmati rice with a great blend of spices (and color) and tender chicken pieces. I liked that the onions for some of the dishes were large cut and easily removed, as not everyone in the family likes onions. The only critique for the place is that there were no paper menus for old heads like myself that still prefers to look over it prior to ordering. Luckily, the online ordering experience was simple and straight forward. I created a Toast account in the process and hope it will be even easier going forward. You can even specify the spice level for most dishes. Overall, Chennai Eats is a wonderful addition to the local community. The place is clean, the food is tasty and a family could get full and happy without breaking the bank. I look forward to trying this place again, and exploring some of their other offerings. I'm also glad to have found a closer alternative to quality Indian food, vs going all the way out to Godavari.

The dipping sauce was good as well, possibly a mint-like flavor. The pork momos were really good too, with nice crimping on the skin and decent fillings inside. The chicken vindaloo was decent, though I might have liked more specificity to the flavoring of the vindaloo. The potatoes were nicely textured. The chicken bites were a bit large, they could have been chopped up a bit. The gorkhali khasi (a goat curry) was fairly decent with tender nice pieces. The flavoring was oversalted and again could have used a tad more definition. The bone-in aspect was appreciated as it held the flavor of the meat. The bhindi masala (okra) was fairly successful with a solid infusion of flavor into the okra. The dish was overall too oily though and some steps need to be taken to minimize the oil. All in all quite enjoyable!

We started the meal with Gobi Manchurian, which was always a standout item and still very much is. I am obsessed with the tangy sauce in the perfectly crisp, well battered and fried cauliflower. We also got some pakoras, which were just as wonderful in taste and texture. The lentil soup was well seasoned and well spiced and very hearty. The dosa was a winner in its lovely flavor, but sadly lacked in not having enough filling. I also really enjoyed the yogi bowl in having very fresh and tasty veggies with wonderful sauces and a marinated tofu. The presentation was elegant. The restaurant itself had a great vibe and very little felt different from Walnut Grille. There are a variety of tables and booths to choose from. The service was friendly even though it was on the slower side. I was bummed they didn't have any vegan desserts available, despite it being listed on the menu. Parking is very easy in the attached lot behind the restaurant.
