I cannot get enough of the shrimp curry from here, I order it almost weekly. The food here is just absolute perfection. The shrimp curry flavor is the best I've ever had and the amount they give you realistically could feed two people but it is so good I finish all alone. The basmati rice is delicious and also a great portion for the price. I sometimes get the garlic naan, with and without chili from here and I love it. It's never dry, the naan is always perfectly baked. When I move I'm going to have to make a special trip just to come eat here because it might be the best Indian food in the IE, ever. read more

Came in for lunch with a coworker and honestly had a terrible first impression. The restaurant was completely empty when we walked in. We stood there waiting for service and after about 10 minutes someone finally came out from the back just to grab a pitcher of water, then disappeared again without acknowledging us or saying anything. I didn't have too much time to eat so stopped by the buffet The buffet is $15 and includes naan The naan is pretty good and a generous portion There are two meat curries. They had masala fries which had good flavor but were soggy Veg options were paneer tikka masala and a dal. The dal was ok but the paneer tikka masala was pretty flavorful I got the green chutney but noticed it smelled off so I didn't eat it The people that run the place are nice and checked on me frequently I hope they do well. I can forgo customer service is the quality of food is good. Both customer service and food are terrible. First, you walk in and the restaurant is empty. Nobody at the counter to help you. Just a stack of menus. Someone will occasionally come from the attached Indian specialties store to see if there's anyone. I ordered a tandoori dinner to go, which was advertised as chicken tikka, kebab, tandoori chicken, veg korma, rice, chef choice curry, and naan. There was zero chicken tikka. The lamb was so tough, I could t bite through it. The chicken in the container was so burnt. No veg korma. I didn't even get a full naan. It was a waste of money. Never again. Not a server in sight, food was mediocre, lady from register at attached grocery store came into restaurant and FINALLY took our order and she was Not friendly. I like their aloo paratha and mango lassi for my lunch and pick up is fast. Paratha is pretty decent portion.

They closed half an hour early and refused to do anymore orders. Very frustrating. Don't know if I'd go back. Not to mention they have cleanliness violations on their health inspections so perhaps it was for the best that I was not served. Luckily Kissan Indian Cuisine was not too far away and they're open until 11pm everyday. Much better Yelp rating and no cleanliness violations. This is really good Indian food. I ordered the chicken curry to go with a side of basmati rice and cheese naan. Everything was filled with flavor and enjoyable. The Gentleman who too my order was friendly but a little quiet. The food is not cheap but you get what you pay for. The chicken curry is enough for about 1 1/2 meals. The rice is enough for 2 meals. So my wife had been bugging me for some time to take her to try some indian food. After checking on yelp, the best reviewed spot was Spice Jar. When we walked in the place was empty, but the dining room was large and clean. We both decided to go with their buffet dinner, although, there wasn't much to choose from. There were 4 meats, lentils, rice, and a salad. I'll admit to not being "thrilled" about trying it but I can't be scared to try different foods. More than anything it's the color of the food that kinda throws me off but there I went trying it. While the food wasn't bad by any means, it just simply didn't sit well with me. My wife who was looking forward to it way more was a bit disappointed as well. Again, the food wasn't bad but it left something to be desired. No chicken chunks ZERO They gave me all the BURNED OVERCOOKED outside parts of all the tandoori chicken. I got BONES & CARTILAGE like a lot. They also served about 15 orders that came after me. Most who order as soon as they got there AND ORDERED THE SAME THING AS ME. They purposely gave me all the worst hard overcooked parts they didn't want to give to anyone else. I regret going here... I wasted so much money and I love Makhani. Well I actually like Makhani less now because of going here... which makes me sad. I'm really stupid. When I first arrived at Spice Jar, I went to the restaurant doors. They were locked so I almost drove away. I saw a person exit from the door in the corner with a bag of food. So I walked over there and saw that they were open in the market. I guess the restaurant is closed for now. The food is delicious. samosas are the best . Also the chicken korma is so good , this place is ran by really sweet people and they're always so nice . The shelves have packages of raw nuts which I love. There's also some really good cookies . I will have to get some more soon read more

This is the place to go for all your curry-making supplies as well as treats as they've a grocery store besides the restaurant. During the pandemic they were doing only takeaways and I learned the hard way that I had to specify the level of heat in my dishes or they would all just be so hot they had no flavours. BUT-we've eaten inside the restaurant and they do good food. My Husband loves Butter Chicken and my favourite is Spinach Paneer and when dining in they take pains to cook it to order.
