Filled with plenty of essentials from produce, snacks, frozen items, to a restaurant with halal food and sweets/mithai. It's a one stop shop for all things desi! Store was clean. Restaurant area had plenty of seating. We grabbed some produce essentials. I tried the milk pudding and kalakand. Milk pudding was delish, it's similar to flan and firni. The kalakand was not too sweet - great if you don't want too much sweetness but I love sweet so I wish it was more sweeter. Service was fast and friendly. Misleading Ad & Disappointing Experience I ordered the "Whole Tandoori Chicken + Beer" Thanksgiving combo from India Bites & Bazar after seeing their promotional ad that clearly showed a full-sized whole chicken and a full beer. I paid $22 expecting exactly what was advertised. What I actually received was a small Cornish hen and a very small beer. This isn't about portion size -- it's about false and misleading advertising. If the deal is for a Cornish hen, the ad should clearly say that. Using a full-sized chicken image sets incorrect expectations and misleads customers. Thanksgiving meals are planned with trust, and this was disappointing. If you want repeat customers, the product needs to match the advertisement, or the ad needs to be honest. I won't be ordering promotional combos from here again. read more

I wasn't too impressed with the breakfast special, especially since the "live dosa" mention felt misleading, as only plain dosa was actually included. This was my first visit to IBB restaurant and Market. I tried their Masala Dosa and was very pleased overall. The serving was large and contained a big portion of the potato preparation as filling. The condiments with the dosa were tasty. The sambar also was good, but was not enough for the dosa they served. I ordered an Extra Sambar. The owner, did not charge for it when I went to pay that. So, I thank him. Only thing I need to mention is that I felt a strong garlicky taste in the potato filling, which I never perceived in the filling at any other restaurant. The price was also reasonable. They also have an Indian grocery store, which had mostly South Indian Brands of merchandise. Also, there was a meat section there, which sells many Halal meat items (no beef) including goat. We have been going to IBB for few months. It's always delicious!! On Friday, Saturday, and Sunday they have different types of kababs. We tried the Chaplin kabab and Gola kabab. The Gola kabab was amazing, but the Chapli kabab was just ok, and it's $6 for 1 chapli kabab. I will definitely order the Gola kabab again. Today they had free Gajar halwa and it was very very delicious!! We also tried the Irani chai and the sugarcane juice. The Irani chai was amazing but the sugarcane juice was ok. So far our favorites at IBB are: gobi Manchuria ( would be amazing if they can bring chicken Manchuria), masala dosa, paneer dosa, Gola kaba, bullet naan, gajar halwa, and Irani chai. read more

If you know and love proper South Indian food, start your engines at once. Good dosas, sambhar and chutneys that taste as they should, and chicken 65 and biryanis as you would have them in Hyderabad. So good. Mango lassi is also made without shortcuts. Generous serving size and good value, though thalis are the exception, with mainly fried things and dals that are not super fresh. I would encourage the proprietors to have more steam-table style vegetables and less fried snack food (though mm, patties), but they are getting started and probably figuring out what works. The eatery is on one side, and the grocery is on the other. There are sweets and pastries, both Indian sweets and the kinds of pastries Indians like from the Western repertoire (you know, black forest cake...) in a case with the other foods. Grocery is spacious and well laid-out, eatery has tables a bit close to each other so when it is full (as it was for lunch when we went), your chair might bump into others. You go up to the counter to order and they give you your food in a compostable paper sort of plate/tray. Some of the food takes longer, but the dosai is quick. New Indian store/restaurant. Opened 6 weeks ago. It was spacious, clean, friendly owners. I had the idli sambar and dosa. They were all fresh and yummy. They apparently have Kothu parotta, though not mentioned in their menu, they can prepare it if requested. Unsure if they need advance notice or if they will prepare for one individual. I look forward to visiting this establishment many more times to try their other items! If they add chat to the menu, it will save me the drive to Artesia to get my chat fix! read more

Restaurant: Food is 10/10 frankly this food tastes like you came to your close family or friends home and they prepared a home meal that didn't have any shortcuts in flavor, and quality ingredients. This is same tier of food I've had when I traveled to Southern India or the good spots in Artesia. The owner has something special here and if below is taken care of, this place has potential to be one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. Service: 7.5/10 needs a lot of work in this department but the owner takes accountability and desire to be great and I have no doubt this area will improve. Not going to stop me from coming back here again. Ambiance: 7.5/10 the restaurant is clean and accessible and great location to quickly pull up for To Go or eat in. I wouldn't say it's kid friendly though --no high chairs and I couldn't find a restroom to clean hands. Marketplace: 8.5/10 Unlike majority of Indian grocers I've been to, this place is very clean and tidy and organized well. We didn't come across any expired expired products and it was so refreshing seeing prices for items easily. We didn't see much of any meat stocked in the refrigerator and the produce section is little lacking. For such a small place this market has lots of potential, and I'm looking forward to buying more products here again. Good non-Punjabi Indian food is a rare find in this part of socal. This place is excellent! Food is delicious -authentic and full of flavor. Tastes like Indian food for Indian palates. Idlis - nice texture, good flavor with that familiar hint of fermentation. Sambar and accompanying chutneys are excellent. Though I would say, it would be good to have a coconut chutney without the garlic in it. But, that's a very minor quibble and simply my personal preference. Grade: A Dosa - crispy, tasty, filled with delicious spicy potato. They nailed the texture. It tastes like dosa should taste. Grade: A Gongura goat biryani - goat is a polarizing meat for some. I love it. What I dislike is dry goat meat that was not slow cooked. This place does it right. Goat is tender and falls off the bone. Biryani is fragrant and flavorful. Gongura leaf adds that touch of herbacious sourness. Grade: A Staff are very friendly, answer questions with a smile, check up on you and make sure you are having a good experience. They made us feel very welcome. There is also a very nicely kept Indian market within the restaurant building. Clean and well stocked. Great experience and I plan to go back. When I called them after reaching home and having the first bite, justification they gave me is that they both look the same. They made me bring the used food to change it to paneer. Completely blown away by how amazing this gem is! My partner and I came in fairly early (11-ish am) not sure what to expect. We ended up getting the Non Veg Combo (butter chicken + chicken 65).
