It's not that I didn't like them but they seemed a little too salty for my taste but they weren't terrible and I still ate them. The catfish was good with great flavor but the fillets were really thin so you got more breading than fish it seemed. Tried a piece of their NY style cheesecake and it was really good and the slice was huge. Great value for the price of it. The cost of the meal was a little on the high end but that's to be expected with seafood boils so no real complaints there.Overall it was a good bday feast and I can't complain. I received an email saying it would be ready in 30 minutes so we arrived right on time, expecting a delay. When we arrived it was hot and ready. Now there are several large signs that say Check Your Food Before You Leave. It was kind of crowded and dark in the restaurant but I opened the bag, saw fried fish and fries, and figured the shrimp were under them. Nope, I was wrong. They forgot the fish. It was too late to go back since they were closing by the time we noticed. So if you go CHECK YOUR FOOD BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE RESTAURANT! I'd advise you use your phone flash light (afterthought). The fish was fried hard, just like I like it but I couldn't taste seasoning. It also tasted "fishy" to me and that is when I realized that I didn't know what kind of fish it was! The fries and corn were good and they give you condiments and napkins. Overall I really wanted to add this to my Good in Dallas list but I can't. Maybe someone else will have better luck.

The service was excellent--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food was some of the best I've ever eaten, and that's saying something considering how much I've traveled and dined over the years. There are two other locations that serve the same excellent menu, but this historic square setting makes this one especially memorable.
