Very nice setting and delicious food! Went for lunch on Sunday and there were two or three other tables there so not very crowded. For three of us, we ordered two appetizers and two mains. The onion pakora was really tasty and crispy and the veggie momo with the sauce was delicious as well. Had to try this latest option in our mountain neighborhood. This will be a regular destination in the rotation. Service was solid and attentive. Food came out quickly. Very comfortable interior. Sat at a table in the bar area which was comfortable and had TV's to watch the game. We dined on a Tuesday evening at 6 pm and it was busy. We ordered a ton of food to get a good cross section. Samosas were excellent, mint chutney was on point. CuTO salad was like an Indian version of a Greek salad (minus the feta). Truly among the best Indian food we have had in the US, and that is saying a lot! Better than anywhere we have found in Denver. Best Biryani in the country, and better than most we have had overseas. The food was well priced snd exceptional. It was fresh and so flavorful. We were able to choose the spice level of our entrees, which was nice. I'm more heat sensitive and my husband likes his food spicier, so they brought more spices sauce on the side for him. The service was excellent! Servers were very pleasant and attentive. Very good Indian food and generous portions. Typically, a dish with accompanying rice is enough food for two healthy appetites, making for a surprisingly good dining out value. But that aside, the food is high quality and thoughtfully prepared. Portions have a generous amount of meat. There are also numerous vegetarian dishes. The saag panier and lamb vindaloo, or korma, are excellent, as is the beverage mango lassi. Service is great, kind waitstaff. No downsides, really. The Conifer area is not known for haute cuisine, but this is one of the best in the area. read more

First the service was impeccable and the food was delicious. My first bite was an explosion of flavors with manageable heat ( I request a 3 out of 5). VERY impressed with this restaurant! Food was incredible and spiced perfectly. We shared aloo gohbi, saag, chicken tika masala and naan. All was exceptional.Service was great, friendly and attentive. Restaurant was full and 2 servers managed it professionally. Some of the guests were new to Indian food and had many questions...it was fun to watch them enjoy their choices. The butter chicken was really tender and had generous portions. We had spice level 3 out of 5 and could probably have gone a bit higher. The garlic naan was crispy on the outside and soft inside. Service was excellent and we found the booths comfortable. We're planning on stopping again next time we're on the way to Denver. read more

First, I have to say I am very happy to have a Indian restaurant in Conifer. We do not have a lot of variety and often have to drive 30mins or more for restaurants. There are good options in Conifer, but another option is always a good thing. We are lovers of Indian food, and have eaten at some very good Indian restaurants over the years. Plus, we have a lot of Indian friends who either cook for us or take us to their favorite restaurants. So, this is a cuisine we know very well. Spice Ranch is good, but not great. Perhaps it is just because they are just getting started, but in general, the food lacked the spicy punch you associate with Indian food. FOOD - We ordered the Lentil Soup and Onion Pakoras to start. The soup was bland, almost watery, lacking in a lot of hardiness you associate with a lentil soup. The Pakoras tasted good, but the onions were chewy. When I've had them at other restaurants, the onions are usually very soft under the crunch of the batter. For mains, I had Vindaloo and my partner had the Chicken Tikka. The vindaloo was good, though unlike any vindaloo I've had before. It was very tomato-y, almost a Marinara with some Indian flavors and none of the richness I associate with a vindaloo. I asked for a spice level 3 (of 5) and it was spicy, though for a vindaloo, not as spicy as I expected. My partner's Chicken Tikka was the best dish we had, with the chicken well seasoned and well cooked, through the sauce was a little bland. In general, I get the feeling the spice - and I don't mean 'heat' - has been toned down for American tastes. Also, they call themselves a "Fusion" restaurant, and as far as I could see the offerings were fairly standard Indian dishes. SERVICE - Overall good. We were only one of 3 tables in the restaurant and the staff were reasonably attentive. We had two minor issues, first, no one was watching the door when we arrived, and we stood there for several minutes waiting for someone to come out of the kitchen to seat us. And, my partner had to ask for new silverware since her spoon and knife both had fingerprints all over them. CONCLUSION - If we decide we want to eat out and want to stay in the Conifer area, then Spice Ranch will certainly be one of the options we consider. The food is good enough to go back. However, if we do feel like driving, we will likely go to one of the other Indian restaurants we frequent in Golden or Littleton. read more
