My husband and I have probably ordered from this spot at least 10+ times and every time it arrives in perfect condition and packed with flavor. We've done a handful of orders for just us, but also multiple orders of 6 or more and our friends and family also feel the same way. As an Indian, I have high expectations for indian restaurants. Curry Kitchen definitely itely met them! The last time I sat down to dine in at the restaurant was during the pandemic. J was very much surprised to see how much better the interior of the restaurant now appeared! The walls and ceiling were decorated well, and the plates and cutlery were also a nice change. We gathered with friends here for dinner. It is the perfect place for people with dietary needs (everyone can get something delicious). The space is beautiful and comfortable. A coworker recommended this place to me and it was alright. Got the food to go: Veggie Samosa, Garlic Naan, Lamb Saag, and Saag Paneer. The samosas were huge and pretty yummy, I like how the outside part was seasoned as well. The Saag Paneer tasted like it should, nothing too extraordinary about it, but it was good. The most disappointing part was the naan. It was super thin and broke easily, unlike other naan that I have had. Regardless, it was still flavorful. I made a to go order with only about 30 minutes to spare, and they made it happen! Service was quick and my food was all packaged securely, which I appreciated. Again, I got the food to go. This was honestly probably the best Indian food I have ever had in my life... The samosas were stuffed and the vindaloo was delicious and flavorful. You can customize the spice level of the dishes as well. The naan was flaky and buttery and they give a large portion so you won't run out halfway through your dish. The inside is BEAUTIFUL! Me and my bf had our Valentines dinner date here at the best indian restaurant in town :) I will say it was busier than usual and maybe thats why the consistency wasnt met like how it normally was. We ordered 2 dal tarkas, both mild. My boyfriends came out HOT and mine was extremely extremely salty... to the point where i couldnt finish it. That was disappointing but maybe it was due to how busy it was or possibly a different chef. Other than that, i have zero complaints. The veg biryani was something we had never tried and my god, it was delicious. The decor inside is a mix of classy and whimsy. Love it! Pastel was the palette of choice all over the place. They've been open a couple of months. We went last night and the food amazing. I was impressed. I can't pick one dish as a standout. All three were tasty and even the mango lassi was thick and just a lot more satisfying. The Lamb Saag was a lot greener but retained that creamy consistency that you want this dish to be. The Goat Curry boned in was so good. The Lamb Vindaloo surprisingly can be tamed spice-wise according to your level. Almost every restaurant can't accommodate this. The garlic naan was a tad lacking in salt. This was the only slightly weak link. The Meat Samosa was hefty. Loaded with meat! We had two of their desserts and it was new to us but they were nevertheless really good. It's the Mango Rasmalal and Gulab Jamun. Their location is behind the Safeway Grocery Store. Onen restaurant tried but did not make it in this location. Their food is excellent! Lots of parking. Thanks to Yelp, as always for alerting us to new and upcoming local eateries in our neighborhood! Curry Kitchen as wonderful! We arrived an hour before closing and we only one of two parties indoors. We felt completely safe and well taken care, even as many take out orders were processed (which was fabulous to see, as we really want Curry Kitchen to be successful!). The interior feels a bit farmhouse mixed with modern, clean lines. Loved the decor and even snapped a pic of their light fixtures - lovely. My partner and I ordered the Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian dinner for two ($45) and had an entire second meal for both of us left over - which goes well with eggs the next morning! We loved the curated meal and got to sample several dishes - all very good. The naan was a-ma-zing! Soooo yummy. We should have ordered another serving to go (yes, we had left overs to take with us, but this naan could be a meal all by itself!). Stop by if you're anywhere near Curry Kitchen - it's definitely worth it. They're located to the right of Safeway in a small shopping center. Love this place! My husband and I have made eating at curry kitchen a monthly tradition. The staff is very kind and welcoming. We got the chicken tikka masala and coconut curry and both were amazing! We recommend getting hot for the coconut curry because it has a sweet taste from the coconut too. We also tried the street food potatoes and yummm the spices were so good. Deep fried but not heavy, very light and crisp exterior. The filling, soft and delicate, packed with veggies and spices. The kicker was that they seasoned the exterior of the pastry. Most places don't do this! All thriller, no filler. +Garlic Naan // I view naan like pizza. Even bad naan is good. Not to say this was anything remotely close to subpar! Very garlicky just the way I like it. Good on its own, mind blowing when dipped in curry. +Butter Chicken // Also known as Chicken Makhani. Chunks of tandoor meat cooked with butter cream sauce. I haven't had this dish in some time and this was quite the return to form. On a five degree night, this soothed the soul. You have the ability to customize the spice level on most dishes, which is amazing! I've never had "spicy butter chicken" before and this is clearly the way to go. Traveling through Denver and noticed this place on Yelp. I haven't had Indian food in a looonng time because there's so dairy in the food; however, this family-owned eatery also caters to vegans. So I decided to order the vegan thali for 2. My husband is much more adventurous with his palate than I am but I must say, it was quite yummy! I ordered it mildly spicy. My only complaint would be giving us 1 samosa when it's supposed to be a meal for 2. It's a minor complaint because we just cut it in half with no problem. The portion sizes were more than enough for us (besides the samosa, which is one of my favs) and the seasoning/spices were good. The vegetable samosa was perfectly cooked and not greasy! Lastly the cauliflower pakora...amazing! The only thing that I wish would have been better was the basmati rice...tasted old and clumpy and dry unfortunately. However, fortunately, once mixed in with the entrees it all worked out. This review is a bit overdue as I've been here several times since its opening. I guess that simply allowed me time to assess the consistency.. and I will say it's consistently delicious! It's tucked into the back of the Safeway strip mall on Green Mountain. It's a bit hard to see from Alameda, and several restaurants have tried and failed to make it at this location, which is disheartening. But Curry Kitchen is by far my favorite that has opened its doors here, and I really *really* hope it sticks around. The decor is left over from the prior establishment's reno, with some updates to the flow and layout. It's not really what you would expect from an Indian restaurant, and the booth cushions could use some re-upholstering. But that is NOT why you would/should go. It's the food! SO GOOD. There are options to satisfy all diets, including vegan, vegetarian and meat-eaters. There are gluten free and dairy free options as well, and their menu is large. As soon as you walk in, the aromas just envelop you and - at least for me - induce an immediate mouth-watering response. We typically get the veg and non-veg dinner for two, as it's a great value for the quantity of food you receive. We once tried the veg dinner for two. Both options, guaranteed left-overs and a wonderful assortment of dishes. We'll often throw in an order of momos, or naan if we're going with just entrees. Most recently we popped in for a quick bite and ordered a couple curries - the saag with lamb (medium spice) and the coconut curry with tofu (mild). Dishes come with a bowl of basmati rice, and there was still enough left over for a take-home lunch meal. The flavors are divine, the fried food is not over oiled, and I've never ended up with an upset stomach from the food being too rich, which can happen at other establishments. Mild heat does not take away from the complexity of the dishes, nor does medium heat blow out your taste buds. I'm too much of a weenie to attempt anything actually labeled "hot" so no comment there. But for all the American-palate approved Indian food around (which I purposefully make the distinction after spending a month in India), this is literally the best I've tried in Colorado.
