For food, we got the Bulla burger and Iberian pork bowl. They were plated beautifully and both tasted fresh and flavorful. My only comment is that I wish the pork had some sauce on it, that would've taken the flavor profile to the next level! Service was great, Christoph was our server and he was attentive and offered recommendations. Will definitely be back to try their tapas next time!

Luckily, it looked like the brunch crowd was thinning out so we were able to get a table without a reservation. Bulla serves tapas style meaning you should probably get at least two items if you are not sharing with the table. Looking at the menu, my husband and I both realized that if you are going to get three items each, it really was the best value to get the Brunch Prix Fixe for $32 although it did seem like a lot of food. In hindsight, we probably should have shared one Brunch Prix Fixe and then got one or two other items as I ended up taking food home. There is also a Bottomless Sangrias and Mimosas for $23 but we aren't big drinkers. I did get a hot tea though. For the first course, I ordered the Potato Tortilla and my husband ordered the Sopa de Garbanzo Frita. As soon as they arrived, I realized it was going to be too much food because each one was huge. My potatoes were very thinly sliced and soft and delicious, especially with a swipe of the garlic aioli. My husband liked his chickpea soup but did say it was a little spicy. It also comes with a poached egg in the soup. That was another thing - most of the Prix Fixe items, especially the second course, come with either fried or poached egg and I only eat scrambled which made it hard to choose the next course. I got the Chicken and Waffles which came with three thin breaded chicken fillets sandwiched between super fluffy waffle quarters, served with a rosemary maple syrup. It was all so good, that you could eat the chicken and the waffles without the syrup if you wanted but I used the syrup for the herby flavor. I took home two of the waffle quarters and one piece of chicken for a waffle sandwich at home. My husband's braised pork hash was also really good, and came with another poached egg. For the final sweets course, we both ordered the Hazelnut Waffles (yes, yes, I know, I ordered two waffle dishes in a row). These were so yummy, just slathered with Nutella, whipped white chocolate cream, and chocolate chips. All in all, a great brunch!

We had Raymond as our server, and the entire team alongside him was great. We even told him we were short on time, and he ensured we got all our food quickly. They escorted us to our table, but a smile or warmer greeting would have made a difference. Thankfully, our waitress, Daniela, completely turned the experience around. She was incredibly kind, attentive, and knowledgeable, taking the time to explain the menu and answer our questions. She provided wonderful service throughout our meal. The food arrived quickly and was served nice and hot. Everything we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and well prepared. The quality of the food itself was excellent. Our biggest issue was the value. We understand that Jaleo serves tapas and that it's located in Disney Springs, where prices tend to be higher. However, many of the dishes were priced similarly to full entrées at other restaurants while offering very small portions. For example, the Patatas Bravas--essentially a couple of potatoes with a delicious sauce--were around $15. The avocado salad was also around $14 and consisted mostly of one avocado with dressing. While everything tasted great, the prices felt difficult to justify, especially when dining as a family. If the prices were significantly lower, we would absolutely come back because the food and service were very good. Unfortunately, at the current price point, we didn't feel we received good value for what we paid. It's a nice place to try if you're looking for quality tapas, but families should be prepared for a very expensive meal.

If you're a foodie and visiting Orlando, this should be at the top of your list. If you live in Orlando, I'm jealous- I'd go here a lot. The vibe is very cool- feels very chameleon: girl's night, date night, big group all trying a bunch of small plates - all yes! I wish I could find the order form that I took so I could properly give credit to each of the delicious things we ordered. There's a menu and then a small piece of paper with pencils and you put in your order at the bar where they give you a number.

Definitely worth trying. I also enjoyed a couple of drinks with my meal. My only complaint was the service setup. There wasn't table service, so we had to place our food order at the bar even though we were seated at a table, and at times we had to pick up our own drinks from the bar as well. It wasn't a huge issue, but it did take away a bit from the experience. That said, the quality of the food made up for it. If you're looking for great food and don't mind a more self-service style experience, Tori Tori is worth a visit. I'll be back for the crab fried rice ;)

Service is excellent.. The staff and people working in their restaurant are amazing Turull's menu features a smattering of larger plates but is anchored in tapas, including the ubiquitous barometer bite tortilla de patatas ($12). Our forecast? Dry and spongy. To resuscitate, pieces of the potato omelet were bathed in the garlicky oil of a neighboring cazuela of gambas al ajillo ($17) -- a cazuela of goodness brimming with sweet, springy shrimp. Another barometer bite, pan con tomate ($8), fared better. Tomato bread is simple in concept, less simple to execute. Bread is the non-negotiable, and the bread at Turull's was sufficiently reminiscent of traditional "glass bread" to impress, crisp-crusted and open-crumbed -- a perfect raft for fresh tomato, olive oil and salt. We could have eaten several plates. They've added more ramen to the menu since my last review, and the Tan Tan ramen has quickly become one of my favorites. The spicy sesame peanut broth is rich, flavorful, and has just the right amount of heat. If I'm not in the mood for ramen, I always go with the shiso butter yaki onigiri with a side of pork chashu. They torch the butter right at your table, which is such a fun touch, and it smells incredible. The mentaiko fries are still a must order every single visit, and for dessert you can't skip the matcha tiramisu or the taro ice cream with the hot green tea. The ramen, grilled meats, addicting appetizers, fun drinks, awesome atmosphere, and consistently amazing staff are exactly why I keep coming back. Easily one of my favorite spots in Orlando.

My favorite thing to enjoy at DBA is their Wednesday girl dinner special. It features a choice of drink (I get a gin martini, but there's a margherita, wine, and beer option), fries, and a caesar salad for $25. You can add fried chicken to the salad for an additional fee, and it's worth it for the lightly battered, tender chicken that they add. This Wednesday special is brilliant and absolutely delicious. The fries are perfect (get the honey mustard!), and the salad would be something I would order time and time again, even off the special. My friend got the double smashburger and the smell of the caramelized onions compelled me to ask for a bite. I'm willing to stray from my fries and salad to enjoy this burger again next time. I'm still thinking about it days later... For dessert, I enjoyed the chocolate olive oil cake (a nod to the beloved olive oil cake at their sister restaurant next door). Take a look at my photos to see this dish in all of its glory. Though it's small, we all shared in the rich dessert and left fully satisfied. Again- big fan of DBA and plan to hit them up much more often now that I've rediscovered their Wednesday special! Previous review: 5 Stars for boozy but balanced cocktails, a chill atmosphere, bites that stay on my mind for days, and staff that makes you feel like family. dba recently opened as a sister concept to The Strand nextdoor. It's owned by the same family and carries over a similarly casual-chic, unpretentious atmosphere with quality offerings that will make it a staple in your rotation. No, really, I've been there 3 times in 2 weeks... Where The Strand is an outstanding neighborhood restaurant which happens to also feature an interesting beverage program, dba is an outstanding little cocktail bar which happens to also feature an interesting bites menu. Both do everything they do really well. In terms of drinks, my go-to is the cigarette for breakfast- essentially their take on an old fashioned, but every drink I've ordered has been equally potent and balanced. The drinks have got nuance. I've also ordered a wet gin martini with blue cheese olives and that classic was done to perfection. But, if you aren't a drinker, don't fret- I went with a friend who is pregnant and they were able to concoct a fun mocktail for her as well. in terms of bites, you can't go wrong with the duck flatbread (I have been dreaming about it since!), the pan con tomate, or the cacio e pepe deviled eggs (same as on the menu next door). Next time I'm definitely trying the octopus salad! Finally, ambiance. This spot feels like you're sitting in a good friend's cozy living room. Assuming your good friend has impeccable taste and plenty of time for a curated thrift store haul. They've got records playing great tunes (you'll get some quick quiet moments as they change the vinyls throughout the night) and the lighting is dim. Again, it's unpretentious and is the kind of place you want to really settle into on a weekday night. Can't wait for my next visit!
