Spanish restaurant located in Orlando, came here for bite 30. Great atmosphere with live music. We try the patatas bravas, croquetas de jamon serrano and croquetas de queso manchero. My favorite were the croquetas de Jamon and patatas bravas. For sscond course I have the churrasco ala plancha with rice and chimichurri . The churrasco was a little hard and the rice a little dry. For desserts we try all of them the churros, the flan and the chocolate cake, my favorite was the flan. Service was quick but our server wasn't friendly and plenty of parking space. Gratuity is already included on your check.
Absolutely wonderful food, atmosphere and service! The paella's are fantastic and plenty to share! We had a group of 8 and ordered 3 paellas and some sides and had leftovers! Definitely worth going!
This was my first time visiting, and while there were definitely things I enjoyed, the overall experience didn't fully meet my expectations. We stopped by because the restaurant is currently participating in Bite30, and the menu caught our eye. We started with the ham croquettes, which were delicious--solid 8/10 and something I'd happily order again. For the main course, we tried the paella Valenciana and ended with the flan. The paella had a generous amount of seafood, which I appreciated, but unfortunately, the calamari, scallops, and some of the rice were overcooked, which took away from the experience. The flavor was fine, but I had hoped for more. We also ordered the sausage and bread appetizer and, honestly, that was a letdown. While the bread was warm and fresh, the sausages resembled canned Vienna sausages and were extremely salty. It even made us wonder if the scallops were canned as well, which was disappointing. On a brighter note, the bartender was fantastic--super friendly and attentive. My espresso martini was a highlight: smooth, well-balanced, and just what I needed. The restaurant itself has charming decor and a stage for live music, which is a cool touch and adds to the ambiance. Overall, I'd rate the experience a 7/10. There's potential here, especially with the cocktails and service, but the food quality needs a bit more consistency to really shine.
Walking into Turull's it's a beautifully decorated restaurant with plenty of seating. We were greeted by our waitress and seated immediately. For drinks we ordered a Guava Margarita and Guava Mojito which both were delicious. For an appetizer we ordered the Patatas Bravas, they came out hot and crispy. The sauces on the potatoes were so flavorful and unique. For our dinner we shared the Paella de Carne and it came steaming hot. The sausage and meat had a nice crispness to it and the chicken was just ok. The veggies in the paella were fresh and really elevated the flavor in the rice. We ordered the Paella for 2 but it was more than enough food, we took leftovers home. The vibe and food was amazing along with the service, we will definitely be repeat customers.
The place inside is beautiful and pleasing however the service can be a lot better. The server had a forced smile and seemed like she didn't want to work that day per her demeanor. Also when the checks came she wasn't able to add the cosmopolitan I had ordered onto my check and split it between the 3 of us who dined there. The gratuity is automatically added at 20% per the regular menu. However when the check comes it display the option of only paying 18%. As per Florida Law an automatic gratuity cannot be charged for parties of less than 6. Would it had been my choice this server did not deserve a tip. The food was good but not great and drinks were as expected. The best part was the dessert. They also had a person playing music live. I understand now why this place was soo empty with only 4 other tables occupied when arrived.
Kudos to this place for taking our very large group of about 24 people at last minute, within 10 minutes of our call. Truth be told, there was only one other dining party of 3 or 4 people but I was still pleased that they accommodated our group at such short notice. What I didn't like was that they told us we had to pay in groups of 4 and not individually, no exceptions. This makes it so that one person of each group has to cover the charge upfront and then collect the money from friends and acquaintances. It shouldn't be that way, especially when they really didnt have any other business in there at the time. They promptly took our drink orders, followed by our food orders. I believe we likely overwhelmed the kitchen as it took an incredible amount of time to get our food served. In hindsight, I think they were trying to bring it all out together and some people ordered paella, which states, on the menu, a 35 minute wait for the food. Those that ordered paella, both the seafood and the meat options stated that it was very salty and had a hard time finishing it. Another had raw salmon and needed to send it back to the kitchen. I ordered the Tabla Variada, which in essence, was a charcuterie board. It came with a good amount of Spanish meats and cheese. Unfortunately, it did not have any sauces served with it. I asked for mustard and was informed they don't have mustard. However, I later saw a sausage appetizer on the menu that had a mustard sauce that would've worked for me. Since mustard wasn't an option, I asked for a jelly. They brought out a delicious jelly-like sweet sauce that went well with the cheese. I have to admit that I was missing the mustard though. I wish that they had taken the time to identify the 4 types of cheese and 3 types of meat on the board. I just took a guess and likely was off on at least a couple of them. The Spanish olives and almonds appetizer came out with a dish of green olives and another of black olives. It was also supposed to come with Spanish almonds but came out with little cracker-like breadsticks. I pointed it out the lady, who I believe was the manager, and she said the nuts were on the charcuterie plate. I countered that the few almonds on that plate are part of a separate dish and that this olive dish should've come with the almonds, not the breadstick crackers. She thankfully didn't argue and promptly brought out a small dish of almonds. This place was very nicely decorated and has a lot of potential. I like the open kitchen design where you can see the chefs working hard on the dishes. I would be interested in trying it again someday with a much smaller dining group.
This place was amazing. Looks great and the service was great. They had live music which is always great, just wish it wasn't too loud so we can actually hear our conversations. The food was amazing. I forgot to take pictures of the paella, but it was probably one of the best I've had. Great selection of wine also.
I was craving paella and found Turull's. We had the place all to ourselves. Shocked that this place isn't packed. The food was so good and the service was great. Sad that I can't be a regular. The white wine sangria was one of the best I've had. The Pulpo appetizer was delicious and the paella was perfectly seasoned. The paella took a long time to come out which meant that it was cooked properly. Ignore the thumping music from the gym next door because the food is worth it.
Service and ambiance were good, tapas was good. The paella de Mariscos was awful, undercooked seafood clams, oysters and lobster tail, not as juicy as other places, calamari's were chewy and a bit hard. Dessert was great. Drinks were so so. Was a bit disappointed.
Great service and wonderful food. Enrique took care of us with great explanations of the menu, and wine menu, bilingual and wonderful suggestions on tapas. Parking was easy, it's a shared mall parking lot. Vibe was like modern española. I would come dressed nicely on a weekend night for sure. Price was 50% off wine and tapas for a Wednesday night. Everything we had was delicious. Wished we lived closer for more visits. Ask for Enrique for great service !!! Price: reasonable but could be a lot of not use to tapas pricing. Parking: shared and easy Service: great, would visit again with Enrique ! Highly recommend!
Stopped by for breakfast. Ordered the chorizo omelette and a cappuccino. They were decent. I enjoyed the restaurant decor and comfortable seating. Service was friendly and helpful.
BIG mistake coming here, I waited months for this and now I regret it completely, let me tell you why: We are a party of 7 with reservations heading in for the premier item, Cochinillo al horno. We arrive minutes prior to the reservation time as we always do because I have baby and need a high chair. 20 minute wait for "table setup". Now the place is pretty packed, but a reservation is a reservation. Finally, we are invited to sit at a bar like area, and there is confusion because this isn't typical seating and we cant sit 5 feet over the high chair. They offer an alternative, seating in a lounge like atea with couches and a coffee table, think a club or your aunt's living room. I'm looking at the other tables with typical restaurant seating and they are saying we will have to wait longer for a table and our food will be ready shortly. We decide to go with auntie's living room. Now our waitress, didn't know what we were here for. If she wasn't forgetting about us completely, she would ask us if we wanted drinks as if we were here for drinking only (consider the seating). Soon after, she comes over apologizing because she did not realize we were there for the cochinillo and would get on it. 45 minute wait, for food that was supposedly already ready. We had a 20 minute wait for sangria that was fresh, a pitcher was enough for each of us to have a drink with some leftover. It helped take some sting out of the situation. Now there was a presentation. The manager came out to applogize for the wait, but to tell us about the restaurant, this dish and some history. This was the best part of the whole experience. It was very exciting to see them break the crispy golden skin (though online I saw it done with a plate) and we couldn't wait! We were served individual plates of pork amd rice but they were served on smaller appetizer plates. When asking for bigger plates, they said this is what they use for this dish. Fed up at this point, we enjoyed what we could on baby plates. Now this is more personal, I debated including it in the review, but it is now a running joke in my house: Now the initial plate, it was good. I have definitely had better lechon, but it was an experience. The plates we were served were pork and rice, cool. The remaining pieces were served in another dish. Going for seconds, everyone was.. apprehensive. You could not tell what piece was what. In silence, we took new pieces hoping it would not be something we would be upset about later because someone was going to be eating the butt cheeks, or worse . Where no one would say it, abuela exclaimed that she was dissapointed by the pig and the best part was the rice. We agreed completely, but we paid for it, a lot for it, so we ate it. I didn't bring up the waitress again, because like the review, the last time we saw or heard of her was back at the sangria. We had to ask passerbys for utensils, water, basic dining needs. Because my father in law cannot resist, we did have dessert, I did not try it so I am not including more than a picture. The manager clearly read our dissapointment and apologized to each of us, and helped grandma up to the door. This is why they got the 2nd star. Will never return.
--Location/Parking-- Located in a strip mall, there were plenty of parking. Easy to get to from the mall and is away from the tourist hot spots. An easy bus ride from the Orlando International Airport --Ambience-- Upon entering, I heard the typical Latin American music playing, which could be coincidence, because a lot of movies play it when they show a Latin American café/restaurant scene. There was a coffee bar and plenty of tables. The vibe was relaxing, and the music was upbeat. It felt very upscale or date night restaurant. --Service/Staff-- The service was friendly and spoke to me in English and gave me recommendations on some Tapas. My only gripe would be that the waitress did not offer me their "bread" after I ordered, and I only noticed it once I saw other tables being offered the bread. The owner came by after the meal to see how I was doing. Overall, the staff was friendly, and the service was exceptional. --Food/Products-- I mainly ordered the Tapas, but I wish I could have tried the seafood, but judging from the other tables, the portions were huge for a single person. The bread on each tapa were freshly made and reminded me of some great bakeries I had in the past. My favorite was the Brocheta de Langostinos, which was recommended by the staff. The Croquetas de Jamon Serrano were delicious but had too much cheese for my preference. --Capacity-- I came on Sunday afternoon, there were plenty of tables available and from the vibe, families were enjoying a relaxing, non-rushed Sunday afternoon in the restaurant. --Overall-- I would be back when I am visiting Orlando again to try some of their seafood dishes. The Paella Valenciana caught my eye, but I would need to bring several people to enjoy the dish.
Good evening everyone! So we all felt like trying out something Spanish tonight in the Orlando, FL area and my brother recommended Turull's Kitchen & Bar so we all decided to check them out and boy are we glad we did. I can honestly say that this restaurant is 100% legit as far as Spanish restaurants go. On this occasion we ordered a number of Tapas to share at the table. We ordered the cured Manchego cheese and Spanish ham board, Pulpo A La Vinagreta (Octopus in Vinegar), Serrano Ham and Codfish croquettes (absolutely delicious), Spanish Omelete and Al of us decide to try the Spanish Bean Soup (Fabada Asturiana). Everything we ordered was fresh, hearty and tasted exactly as expected. No cutting corners at Turull's folks and I am pretty sure that everything else on the menu would be just as good. If you decide to try one of their paella rice dishes, you hey looked great as well but plan on 45 minutes or so before it gets to the table as it is made fresh to order, no exceptions. Honestly, that is the only way to do it.... Who wants reheated paella as that would be heresy! LOL! For dessert we ordered the Flan and the Torta de San Martin, where the torta is a traditional Spanish pastry served with Almond ice cream, and both were very good. Finishing things off with some espresso and boy life was really good at this point. The atmosphere was very welcoming as Fridays and Saturday's they have live music which was in full force during our dinner. As you can imagine, we did take advantage and "cut a little rug" before we left as well! LOL! All in all it was a great outing and nothing better than good food, good wine and family as the setup for a wonderful evening. Service was excellent as well and no worries about parking either as there is plenty available. So if you find yourselves with a hankering for some good Spanish cuisine while in the Orlando, FL area, you should definitely check them out. Tried because of Offline. I had a great dinner at Turull's Kitchen & Bar. I ordered the Pollo Milanese -- a very large breaded chicken cutlet that was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The chorizo rice on the side was moist and delicious, and the small salad with balsamic vinaigrette was fresh and light. They had Coke products (always a plus for me). My friend had an octopus dish with potatoes and onions, and really enjoyed it -- said it was tender and well-prepared. His Spanish rice was also very good. The service was top tier -- everyone was friendly, helpful, and checked on us often. We even got to see a flamenco dancer perform while we were eating, which made the night feel special. The atmosphere was warm and stylish, with beautiful artwork and a lit tree in the center of the space. I'd definitely go back. read more
We visited Turull's Boqueria for Bite30 and overall had a good experience with a few bumps along the way. To start, we ordered the patatas bravas and both types of croquetas, all very good and definitely the highlight of the meal. Great flavors, crispy texture, and a strong start. For the main course, I went with the churrasco, but unfortunately, it really missed the mark. It was bland, lacked that grilled flavor, and the texture felt more boiled than seared. Thankfully, the waitress allowed me to switch it for the chicken, which was much better, juicy, flavorful, and nicely done. Desserts were a bit of a mixed bag. The churros were too oily for my taste, but the flan was excellent (my favorite of the three), and the chocolate cake was rich and satisfying. The atmosphere was lively and they had a great live singer which added to the show. Service was okay, not particularly attentive, and it wasn't until the end we realized a 20% gratuity had already been added for our party of 3, something I wish had been disclosed in the bite30 menu. Also the waiter did not want to split this in to 3 different bills which forces the group to pay unevenly if someone else order something different (I dont believe its a system limitation, its either lack of knowledge or just lazy) All in all, a decent experience with a few standouts. Would come back to try other dishes, but there's room for improvement, especially on the service and main course side. read more

This place was amazing. Looks great and the service was great. They had live music which is always great, just wish it wasn't too loud so we can actually hear our conversations. The food was amazing. My mom and i were in the Florida Mall area looking for lunch and stumbled upon this spanish tapas place. Not bad at all. My mom ordered a margarita and enjoyed it very much. I ordered a sangria and it left me wanting more...not boozy at all but instead a refreshing fruit juice. The glass of tempranillo the waitress suggested hit the spot. For appetizers, we ordered the Gambas al Ajillo and the Morcilla Don Turull. Both were delicious....the garlic sauce from the shrimp tasted great with the morcilla as well. For entree, my mom and I split the Paella Valenciana for one - it was plenty of food for the two of us. It was tasty but I would have liked it more had there not been a ridiculous amount of peas in it. Otherwise...it was good. A bit on the salty side, but good. Dessert was great. We ate here last night for dinner & enjoyed it. We showed up around 7:45pm on a Thursday without a reservation and were seated immediately, which was nice. Our waitress was very friendly as well. As for the food, it was delicious!! The Gambas Al Ajillo were fantastic as a tapa/appetizer. 5/5. The paella de mariscos was authentic & fresh as well! Definitely recommend that too. Only downside was service was a little bit slow. But 5 stars for how delicious the food was! read more

My parents have been bragging to me about this place for months now and I finally got a chance to check it out. Service is very fast and friendly. Food was GREAT, my favorite was the Fabada, such a homemade like meal. Octopus was also very tender and tasty. read more

I love places located in the strip malls - easy to find free parking :) We stopped by for dinner on Wednesday at 7pm, and were probably the first customers - but the restaurant slowly filled up from there on. The place had a very interesting setup with a number of booth with ultra-large tables, probably good for 12 people or even more. Wine list is not very large, but offers good selection and all the bottles are very reasonably priced. We had 2015 Lan Rioja Gran Reserva which was excellently priced at $46 per bottle. Everything's we tried was delicious. Tabla Iberica Variada had melt in your mouth Jamon and delicious cheeses. Pulpo a la Gallega was delicious, with perfectly cooked octopus and lots of flavor, and the of course the usual suspects such as shrimp, patatas bravas, and more. Also, one of the people in our group is vegan, so the restaurant was kind enough to make a special vegetarian version of paella which was also delicious. Excellent service, prompt, attentive, friendly. Definitely recommended. read more

My friends and I came across this place on Instagram and decided to try it out! Despite some of the reviews on this place I gave it the benefit of the doubt. It's located in a plaza right before the FL Mall so it's easy to see how people could bypass it on their way in and out of shopping. When you walk in it's a cool looking place! It gives you the feel of those market/restaurant places that you would find in some Italian or Spanish restaurants. The table ordered mimosa in guava and pineapple juice flavors, shared a charcuterie board and for my brunch entree I got the avocado toast with salmon. The server was attentive to the table although she did struggle a bit with getting our drink orders correct. The food was alright for brunch. I wish I would've ordered food off of their regular menu instead of a brunch option, as I'm sure it would've been a lot more flavorful. Overall I'd probably try this place again but for dinner instead of brunch. read more

The food is pretty good, the ambiance is great and the service is very good. They add a 20% gratuity for the bill but honestly I can't say it's bad. They service was excellent Bonus: guitarist during the weekend and so great and romantic for date night read more
We stopped by for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We walked into an experience! The DJ was playing loud music and at first I was thinking maybe not what we wanted. We took a look at the brunch menu and opted to order from the regular menu instead. The food was fantastic. We loved everything that we ordered. Servers were attentive. read more

I can't complain about their service my waitress and the manager followed up with me and my other several time. Great and made us feel like in the family ... great service. The ambience, although they trying to bring the concept from Barcelona unfortunately they are far from la Boqueria in La Rambla.. They need to work on the presentation. The cooler/fridge need to be out of there.. it's not a supermarket.. or the stools... or the dessert presentation.. it doesn't look classy or like in Barcelona Food... oh boy! Great flavor. Really good croquetas, morcillas everything perfect... however long wait for my main course and when finally was ready it was not served because it was wrong cooked and after a looong wait for second try I got the wrong order. No so good experienced for a simple paella. They need a better layout, re-located those fridge that doesn't look like a supermarket . I know they trying to look like the Boqueria in la Rambla but they are kinda far from.. They must have the cochinillo available for individual orders, at least one cochinillo during the weekend. Not everyone has a party of 7 to pay $350 dollars for one if them. Overall good restaurant.. kinda far from their own concept. This restaurant need time to mature and training, training, training... I found the restaurant on IG as a brunch recommendation. They mentioned that it was bottomless and I was ready to give it a go. Finding the location wasn't too bad, it's adjacent to The Florida Mall in a small shopping center. I visited alone with no reservation so I anticipated being sat at the bar, but I was actually offered a small table with a view into the kitchen to see all of the magic happening. My waitress was super attentive and sweet. We got right into mimosas (I loved the options of flavors) and a few plates. With the bottomless option, you have a choice of all you can eat and/or bottomless mimosas. I chose to do both so I could try several things. On the food side, they do have some restrictions but honestly they make sense, like no bottomless paella or steak. At my server's suggestion, I had the chicken and waffles, sliders, avocado toast, and tortilla de patatas. Everything came out quickly and was piping hot. The food was tasty and I enjoyed the presentation. They also were great about keeping up with my mimosas. There was a DJ cranking out upbeat music the whole time and several birthdays being celebrated. The oversized booths make this a great place for groups. Honestly, I would come back with a group to really enjoy the vibe, but for my 1st visit, this was a good experience. read more
