I ordered Yum Wun Sen (seafood glass noodles) and Chicken Pad Kee Mao via DoorDash, and both were so good! It was my first time trying Yum Wun Sen--it had a reasonable amount of seafood (squid, scallops, and shrimp) and a nice tangy, sour flavor. I initially thought it would be served cold since it's listed under "salads," but it actually came warm. The lettuce was fresh and crisp, which added a great texture. The Chicken Pad Kee Mao was cooked perfectly to my liking. The flat noodles weren't drenched in sauce but were still savory and full of flavor. I ordered it with extra veggies and loved it. I have found my new favorite Thai. I got the Pad Woon Sen. this is my go to usually and this was the best I have ever had. The apps were good but not amazing. The best app was the cream cheese rangoons. The sauce that came with them was great! They are only take out now so there is nothing much to say about the location itself but the people were very nice when picking it up. read more

Requested hot but it was barely spicy at all. * Pad Thai: A mushy, sticky mess -- noodles were overcooked beyond saving. * Basil Fried Rice: Completely flavorless and dry. Their Pad See Ew and Pad Thai are flavored just right and not greasy. Their yellow and green curry are wonderfully flavored and offer a decent portion too. When adding meat to any entree it's hit or miss on the portion size. The Chicken Thai kids meal was more than enough for an adult & was delicious. The fried rice was very light & delicious. The dipping sauces were good. The bad: The pork dumplings were overcooked. Fried so hard that they turned into rocks. Inedible. The fried spring rolls had very little filling. It was just an empty fried wrapper. Thanks for door dash, I was able to try this place that I didn't know existed. I ordered the spring rolls and the pad ke maow with chicken. The spring rings weren't anything special, but the drunken noodles were amazing. I got the Thai level spicy, and I must say the spice was on point. The chicken was flavored perfectly and everything about this dish was perfect. They give you plenty, so there will be left overs. I'll definitely order from here again. read more

My score is more of a 3.5- ordered red curry- chicken, medium spice served with fried rice. I also had the side order of fresh rolls with chx. I think the red curry flavor was really good and spice was perfect *but* I've never had baby corn and green beans in my red curry!? Bleh. Baby corn screams Chinese to me.. As much as I eat thai food...these ingredients just seemed off- I mean even if they put more red or green pepper, fine. But, all that baby corn and green beans really could've been extra chicken. You know what, Spice Thai is ok. Honestly I was really sad that our dishes weren't what we expected from our experiences at other Thai restaurants. I will say that they have amazing customer service though, and their set up through COVID was a good experience. I went in to pick up my to-go order that we called in ahead of time for. I paid and the sweet girl up front told me to wait in my car and someone would bring it out to me because my order wasn't ready yet. They were running behind on orders, which I get it, it happens. But I waited an extra 15 mins on top of the 20 mins we were originally told. I feel sad to only give them 3 stars, but the pad thai was sweet, which I've never had pad thai be sweet before. I LOVE pad see ew but again, it feel short because it was sweet and I've never had sweet pad see ew before. They had a special to get a free order of veggie spring rolls which we qualified for and they were really good that I'd get them again if I was I just craving some spring rolls. My husband actually had nothing but good things to say about his pad woon sen. He was afraid it would be sweet like the rest of our food was, but he lucked out there lol. We called to order and got curbside pickup within 15 minutes. Everything went very smoothly and it felt quite safe. We ordered pineapple fried rice (medium), pad kee maow / drunken noodles (medium), and pepper garlic shrimp (mild). They were generous with giving extra spring rolls, which were delightfully crispy on the outside and were devoured within minutes. The pineapple fried rice and pad kee maow were competitively priced as part of the lunch special, and the portions were decent. The pad kee maow was the crowd favorite, with supple, addictive noodles. The pineapple fried rice was delicious and had just the right amount of oil and sweetness. The medium spice level was great for us relatively spice-intolerant individuals. However, the protein in general was not to the same standard. The pepper garlic shrimp dish could be improved. While the shrimp was tender, there were only 6 medium-sized pieces. The dish mostly consisted of sauce and veggies alongside plain white rice, and it was the most expensive dish. The chicken in the pineapple fried rice and the pork in the drunken noodles were dry, although flavorful. Overall, we would come here again for the bargain prices, robust flavors, and kind service. Updating because it's been years. Post covid, they moved to carry out only. They got faster and so consistent. It's hard to eat Thai anywhere else given the value here. Pro tip for little kids - they have a side of fried rice. I also want to point out they closed for a few weeks this summer for a vacation. They do this every few years (as is more common in places not Texas). That's amazing. How many small family businesses prioritize taking care of themselves and resting like that. Tried this place today and must admit that I am not impressed. Prices are great and the service is excellent. Tiny and clean joint. But the food is not impressive. I've got salad covered by very thick and oily dressing ... Why would they "ruin" the salad like this? My chicken pad thai was very heavy and oily with too much sour sauce in it. If you're looking for great Thai food this is the place to visit. My husband and I have been dining here for several years. It's gone thru a few different owners but has still remained a great spot! It's a very small cozy restaurant, it's BYOB. My favorite dish is the basil fried rice with chicken, and any of the curry dishes. The mango and sticky rice is very yummy. We've brought a lot of friends to STC and they always love it. Prices are great, staff is generally nice and good doesn't take forever to come out. Highly recommended. read more

I tried this place a few years back and was not impress to go back for a second time. But we heard there's a new owner now so we decided to give to give it a try since it only 5 mins from home. The kids got chicken fried rice from the kids menu. My picky 4T was either really hungry or really enjoyed the fried rice, because she tore it up. I tasted it and it was pretty good. My husband got their ladna, he too cleared his plate. I got the shrimp Tom yum noodle soup. It was excellent and very flavorful. I was quite surprised that I enjoyed it because this dish can go quite wrong if not done right. It had the right amount of sweet, salty, tangy and spiciness. In the middle of our meal, our waiter told us about their "thai menu" in case we wanted to venture into more authentic thai dishes next time. I wish he would have told us that sooner, so we'll definitely be back to try their dishes from their thai menu. read more

I've been on a pad thai craze and it hasn't ended. I have been convincing my husband to agree on Thai food, especially during the COVID-19 quarantine. This is probably the 5th Thai restaurant we've been to in a month, haha. What's unique about this restaurant is that they have a separate Thai menu, written in Thai language. I think that's just so legit, haha. They have this available for English speakers/readers too. So apart from the usual Pad Thai and Crying Tiger entrees that you are used to seeing, you can find more unique entrees. In our takeout order, of course we got the Pad Thai, but we also got the crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli entree from the Thai menu. We had ordered via GrubHub on Yelp, but called in for the pork belly as it isn't an option on GrubHub. It's that exclusive! My order was ready in 15 minutes and I picked up from the restaurant. From what I saw, the dining room looked very nice and pretty. The staff member who helped me was friendly as well. The food was very good! I enjoyed my pad thai, and my husband loved his pork belly. Included with our entrees were complimentary white rice and egg rolls, which we enjoyed. The only thing I would change is the spice level. For my pad thai, I got medium, and my husband got hot for his pork belly. Both were kind of mild to us, respectively. Next time we will get the next level spice (hot, and THAI HOT!) Overall, this was a good place to get Thai food in Allen. We will be back, especially to try more of their unique Thai menu. Enjoy! read more

It's a really small restaurant, we were the only customers and were seated right away. We ordered the spring rolls, tom kha soup ( thai hot) and the garlic fried rice with tofu and the other chicken and Shrimp ( both thai hot) The food took over 20 minutes to arrive, the spring rolls were good, the soup was barely luke warm and left much to be desired. They called us to make sure that the ingredients were safe and were super helpful with all our questions! Popped in with my daughter on a chilly Saturday night. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, and it sure was worth it! We started with sharing an order of Chicken Fresh Rolls (very good, and I don't usually care for peanut sauce but ended up spooning plenty of theirs on my portion). Daughter had Veggie Yellow Curry Fried rice and I chose the standard I always judge Thai places by, which is Tom Kha Soup. Both were delicious, brimming with flavor. Some places skimp on the coconut milk in their soup and thin it with too much chicken broth, but my bowl was creamy and had a good strong coconut flavor. I ordered the spice level of hot (as opposed to Thai hot) and would have liked it a tiny bit spicier but I had to blow my nose twice by the time I finished so that's always a good sign!
