I had passed this little restaurant, tucked away behond a few trees and beside a couple of other mom and pop's. I decided to give it a try. When i entered, wow!!, just 3 booths and 1 table. Very small place. there was only one other couple in the restaurant eating. And a coule getting a "pick-up". I noticed three very extensive menus on the wall.I thought I would try the Mongolian Beef. This one dish is the one I use to compare a lot of Chinese Resatuants. Wow!! The order was just right with the ratio of Beef to Fried Rice. The Fried Rice was "Fried to perfection, perfect color, texture and Flavor" the Beef was cooked just right as well. It was very lean with the perfect amount of spices, onionms, etc., I woiuld say that this Mongolian Beef was better than, if not the best that I have ever eaten. Who would have thunk it. Now I want to try some of the more than 200 other menu items. I give it 5 stars for the entree, but overall 4 stars because, as excellent as this place is, it needs to be a little larger, and the food should be out a little quicker. read more

Service isn't the best but the food is delicious! I was in the area for a training and stopped in for lunch. They have an extensive menu with lots of options. I opted for the general tso's chicken on the all day combination menu. It was the perfect amount of food and full of flavor. I always order from here and the last 2 time of ordering General Tso chicken with shrimp fried rice both times were bad. I was giving them another try because restaurant have bad days. This time, I will never go back. You fool my once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me well you know the story. I went today at 12:15 and my food tastes old and the chicken was very hard my shrimp fried rice was old and dry. My chicken was dry as well and the spring roll was very oily. I also notice you have different cook. You might want to clean house before you end up closing your business. I will never be back. I normally spend $80 and up because I buy for my family as well. I should have taking a picture of the food. I was so upset I threw it away and I called my husband and told him to stop by Cava and bring me some fresh food home. This is a great little Chinese restaurant if what you want is American style Chinese food, e.g., all the classics like egg foo yung, chow mein, moo shoo, etc...It's not like many of the authentic Szechuan places in Plano. But it's very good. Tonight we had some great dishes including Mongolian Beef, Beef Lo Mein, House Special Fried Rice, and Shrimp in Ting Tong sauce. The shrimp were huge. So far my favorite Chinese around. Chicken lo mein was cooked perfectly and not too greasy like some places make it. They did not skimp on the chicken. Beef and broccoli was also good and same with the fried dumplings. Only complaint was the dumplings didn't come with sauce or they forgot it. The inside looked clean and was decorated nicely. Ordering online was fairly easy. The one recommendation from me would be for them to add an estimated time on when the food would be done. I had to call to get an estimate which isn't too big of a deal but would be easier not to call. read more

There were too many onions in the Mongolian Beef, not enough green onions, but the flavor was good. House Fried Rice, Chicken Wings were good. Egg Rolls were ok. I got the a small beef and broccoli with a side of lo mein and I could have chosen an egg roll or a can drink. The noodles weren't grease but the beef was a little blend. I was visiting my daughter and granddaughter from So. Florida. We decided to order in Chinese food. We searched Yelp and settled on New York Lover's Chinese Restaurant. The reviews were, for the most part, positive. We ordered Wonton Soup, Pork Egg Roll, Krab Rangoon and the House Special Mai Fun. In addition, I requested 'Extra Hot Homemade Mustard'. I was given the total - @ $20 - and told it would be delivered in 40-minutes (see receipt below). The order was delivered in 18-minutes and everything that was cooked was still hot. When the bag was opened and emptied, however, I was very disappointed. Not only wasn't there any hot mustard, there wasn't even an pre-packaged mustard. Additionally, one of the fortune Cookies was smashed to pieces and another was missing from the cellophane wrapper (see photo below). The Wonton Soup had plenty of wontons, but only about a dozen green onion pieces. The soup, itself, was very bland. The egg roll and Krab Rangoon were also quite bland. The House Special Mai Fun was the high-light of the meal. It was tasty, fresh and delicious. Will I be going back my next trip to Plano? Probably not, unless I go there and check it out for myself. read more

Lady at front register was not friendly and they have a minimum of 6 dollar charge for credit card purchase so I didn't get a drink after the fact. Overall pretty good food but customer services was lacking and the restaurant is more for takeout than dining in. Much better places that are just slightly more expensive out there. read more

This is an American Chinese take out spot. The menu is mostly comprised of fried this and that in sesame, orange, or general tso's. You know the drill. But it's fresh, fast, priced well, and there are lunch specials so there's not much to complain about. I have been a few times now and tried a variety of their dishes and everything was as expected. Their eggrolls are above average, as well and they're offered in some of the combinations. I always think it's weird how some dishes make it to the house specials section and others don't or how some are offered in combinations and lunch combos but others are not. But this is pretty typical of Chinese restaurants here--just take the time to skim through the rest of the menu because you may not see items where you'd otherwise expect. The website doesn't seem to use a third party so they don't charge you extra for ordering online as many places do these days. The place is tiny and the inside dining is stacked and racked for Covid-19 safety. Pick up only. We ordered Lunch combo's, yes they are available on Saturdays, I had the Chicken Lo mien and he had Pork & Broccoli and egg rolls. There where a couple chairs outside so we sat and talked as we waited. I poked my head in the door and asked the woman if we could take a small table outside. She was happy to let us. The food was made to order and good. I should have asked for spicy because the Lo Mien lacked spice. My mistake when ordering, I am sure they would have happily cooked it spicy. My partner said his was good as well. The egg rolls where hot and cooked well. The problem is they are low quality frozen run of the mill rolls. Hard pass. We had a wonderful lunch due to good food and fantastic conversation. If I lived in the area I would pick up food again. The prices are fantastic and the lunch portion was perfect size. My car and clothes all got soaked and stained with the brown sauce because of this. Our favorites are their Honey Chicken, Chicken Mei Fun noodles, & sesame chicken. The BEST is if there are two or more of you ordering, each get the Honey Chicken & Mei Fun and mix the two together! OMG amazing! We prefer their egg rolls to their spring rolls. Not crazy about their lo mein, but it's not that they taste bad- just the size & texture we're not fond of. Came here based on the reviews so I have to leave an honest one. Orange chicken is weird and gummy tasting with a LOT of breading and very little meat. the orange sauce is not good either. It has a really weird taste to it. the shrimp egg roll was all breading. the combination fried rice had stale meat and is dry. Most of the food was clearly not cooked fresh and was very bland and weird tasting. the fried chicken appetizer wings were good and was fried fresh even though kind of bland.
