I will start out with all of the things about wild wing cafe that keep us coming back. Large selection of ice-cold beers on tap. They only offer one size but the pints are always served ice cold and are very fresh. Ambiance. They always have the best music on the televisions with videos, it is an 80s mix most regularly and the volume is great for a place to hang out and chill with friends. They also offer a karaoke night and have live music on weekends. We have never heard a band here we did not enjoy. Comfort, large clean dining area, and with the music you do not overhear every conversation around you while you are sitting at a table or booth but you can still converse easily. When this location opened in Dawsonville, they definitely were a solid 5/5 stars in every category. The food was cooked to order and seasoned to perfection, and the service was always fast and good. For the first few months, there was a line for a seat on most nights. Our last several visits have left us highly disappointed in the food category and the service. On our last two visits, our food took forever and arrived undercooked and cold. These were not busy times, and there were lots of staff members. It took 37 minutes before our waitress came to our table to take our drink order on the last visit. Once we ordered our beer and shrimp appetizer the food arrived quickly, and the fried Buffalo shrimp was excellent. I asked for napkins and serving plates and we finally decided to use our fingers to eat the fried shrimp while it was still warm. The shrimp appetizer had plenty of sauce, which we like but with no napkins, our tails were left on the table and we had to go to the restrooms to wash the sauce off our hands. We waited fifteen minutes after our shrimp was done to catch our server's attention and ask about our beers and place our entree order. I again asked for napkins and plates. We ordered wings and asked for them to be cooked so that the coating was crispy and extra sauce on them. When they arrived at the table, they were dry, and the skin was still stretchy. I returned to the restroom and returned to our table with a handful of the roller paper towels so we could begin to eat. When our server arrived with our beers, I again asked for napkins and plates to put the bones on. and she went and grabbed them for us. At the end of the evening, the restaurant was still only half full on a Saturday night. It was no wonder for us as to why their business seems to have dropped substantially. Our $72 bill for dry, undercooked wings and poor service was not worth the cost. While I would say it could be an individual staff issue, this was our fifth visit with the food and service having been terrible. It is most likely a management or lack of management issue. We will most likely return for the Buffalo Shrimp appetizer, cold beer, and great music but will pass on the wings and other entree menu items until they get their act together. read more

We frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. 2 to 3 times a month. Tonight was the worst experience we have ever had. We take our dog with us so we are out in the patio which usually isn't a problem. Tonight there was a group of 8 little boys and their parents. The children were allowed to run around like animals. They were screaming and running into furniture and not a word was said by management. The parents were not phased. My 1 year old golden doodle behaved better than any one of those kids. The waitress was taking their order and then we were next. She came to us rushing us through the ordering process. We ordered everything we wanted and then waited. The grilled chicken we ordered for our dog didn't get there till we were paying our bill. The unsweetened tea was unsweetened until I walked out into the restaurant to get my own sweetener. Our food was served and we had no utensils or even a napkin. So after waiting for a while I walked out to get utensils and napkins so we could atleast start eating. Other servers saw us getting our own stuff and offered help but it was too late. We propped the door to the patio open and another patron came and closed it because they wanted to hear the music that was being played. So did we. So I once again got up and opened it and explained to one of the moms to quiet the boys down so we could listen to the music. I know I'm rambling but why would a manager allow a group of boys to play like wild animals and take the risk of a law suit from one of the. Falling and cracking their head open. I realize that they were making a lot of money from the party but what did it cost. The loss of patrons that come on a regular basis. But that's okay. There are other restaurants with patios and we will make sure to give them our future business. read more

I heard about this restaurant from my best friend and my father, both told me to stay away but I wanted to see for myself, they should've been listened to. Wild wing Café in Dawsonville might win an award for the driest chicken I've ever had, including the chicken I've cooked for myself. The appetizers weren't bad, we got the pretzel and the bash bowl. The pretzel was kind of burnt and a little salty but overall not bad, the bash bowl has great flavor but was overpowered with too much queso. Then came the entrées, my girlfriend got grilled chicken tenders with fries, and her chicken tenders looked almost like they were bought from Walmart and cooked over a stove top and burnt today. No flavor, very dry, honestly I could've made her meal better myself. I got a chicken sandwich, and it was also very dry. Not to mention it was almost as thin as sliced chicken you put on a Subway sandwich. Every time I took a bite the chicken would fight back and I'd have to fight for the chicken to pull apart. Unfortunately we will not be back, unless there are some changes to the cooking. Great ambience for a friendly get together , awful food. Great location, nice patio seating and can't wait for the live music. We went on opening day and of course a lot of staff and all were helpful and knowledgeable. Wings were delicious and the hamburgers were also good. Nice selection of on tap beers and even more bottled choices. Mix drinks were well made and not skimpy in alcohol. The wings are WAY too overpriced and if you order boneless they're all chewy and half of them are ice cold on the inside, EVERY single time I come, almost like there just left out then thrown in the microwave to heat up. One of the female managers which I know I asked for a manager because my appetizer came out wrong and she came over and stated she was a manager and "What's the issue!". She was so rude to my family and me when we came in the other night needs an attitude adjustment. On this day we decided to give this location a try and boy were we disappointed. After arrival we were immediately put on a 30 min wait list. Luckily it only took about 20 mins to be sat at our table. We were sat at approximately 7:45pm. After being sat we were greeted by our server Hannah, who took the drink orders. Shortly afterwards she returned to take our food orders. We then waited over 35 mins for our food to arrive, which I feel is unacceptable. I'm sorry if your short handed in the kitchen, but this needs to be addressed with your management and should have been resolved before you opened today. On top of all this I ordered a brownie dessert for my 8 year old grandson. When we got the dessert it was not eatable because the ice tasted freezer burned. The server was willing to redo it, but the it almost 9pm and we were ready to go. At this point, I would be hard pressed to return. After an hour wait on a Saturday night, my date and I were pleasantly surprised at the friendly and accommodating staff. It was an extremely busy night, but our soft drinks were refreshed often and our appetizer arrived quickly after ordering. We went on a Friday night they had a live band which was fantastic we ordered wings chicken salad buffalo chicken wrap and a burger everything came out perfect which I am surprised since this is brand new restaurant the kitchen staff is doing a great job. I had a couple of drinks that were both very fresh and made to perfection. We had the absolute best server ever she was awesome if I were you I would ask for her her name is Rylee and really went over and above to get us all of our food and drinks out on time ( and it was packed ) and had a great personality. When I heard a Wild Wing Cafe was going to be coming to Dawsonville I was so excited because the one in Gainesville has been my top wing spot for a few years. However, the hype I built for myself was too high. Service was great and fast, so no problems there. However the food was truly average at best. Some of our wings were over-sauced, some heavily under-sauced, and one of our sandwiches had a strange taste to the bread. Almost like the buns weren't thawed good enough. The drumstick to flat ratio was off as well, 9 drums and 1 flat out of 10 wings. If you're a drum person, awesome; flat person, sad day. For just opening, this establishment has their stuff together and runs really well, but the food just isn't all that special - it's your typical wing joint. I would come again. read more

First of all, we were excited that a Wild Wing Cafe was coming to Dawsonville area. We love the one on Gainesville, typically so much better than Buffalo Wild Wing. With all that being said, we decided we would try the new one in Dawsonville. It has been a long day so we decided to do take out. Boy, was that a HUGE mistake!!! The chicken sandwich that my hubby had was so dry and tough that He described it as "chicken jerky" and flavorless. The tots and steaks fries were like rubber.
