I spent several hours looking for a trustworthy piercing shop in my area, and finally exhaled when I found Electric Tattoo Parlor! I scheduled an appointment online with Ian for about a week out. I arrived to my appointment on time and Ian was there to welcome me! It was very clean inside and I appreciated that piercings are done in a private room in the back. Ian walked me through the whole process and showed me how everything is sterilized before the piercing. He quickly put me at ease! Ian did a great job with my nose piercing and walked me through aftercare. I was able to get everything I needed for aftercare at the shop. He also has you come back 2-4 weeks after the piercing for a checkup and to swap out to a shorter post! The fact that they have you come back to ensure the piercing is healing well shows that they actually care about the quality of their work. I only had my piercing yesterday, but I LOVE it and I'm so happy with my experience and how it turned out. They are clean and very professional. Both tattoo artists have portfolios available to view so you can get an idea of their style before deciding on which artist to go with. I suggest making an appointment because they get booked up REALLY fast, especially during the peak days (Fridays and Saturdays). They also accept walk-ins but you may want to call ahead to see if they are busy. They've got TONS of designs on the walls but you can bring in your own design, or pictures of something you like, and they'll customize it at no extra cost! They do piercings and airbrush t-shirts (they can airbrush pretty much anything). One of the things I like the most about this place is that they have separate rooms for everything- tattoos, piercings, airbrushing, etc. The rooms also have doors so you don't have to worry about lurkers peeking in while you get a tattoo or piercing in a "private" area, or if you just don't want an audience while you get your tattoo or piercing.

Let them know I'd be coming after work (literally told them I get off at 7:15 in Elgin) she said sounds good. Yesterday I get there at 7:45 and they were gone! No one was there. Called and sent them a fb message. Not once did anyone mention they stop taking walk in at 7:30pm. I drove 25 min each way. Gas is around $5 a gallon. Their response was even crazier. Blaming being short staffed on Sunday but that was irrelevant. Then also told me I have to pay for new jewelry even if it is their fault on sizing. I wanted to love them so bad. The shop is so cute and the girls are sweet. But the lack of communication is ridiculous. Especially since I messaged them before 7:30pm yesterday to say I'm coming!
