Established in 2014.
We expanded to Albany in 2021. Spiffy is a mobile business that evolved from old school, brick and mortar car washing and detailing. Spiffy is an on-demand technology and services company with the mission to redefine the car care experience everywhere. Available in over 40 markets, Spiffy offers a variety of zero-contact hand car washing, advanced detailing, and disinfection services, in addition to oil change, tires, brakes, repairs, and other preventative maintenance service options. Every service is conveniently performed for fleets, office parks, and residences using the Spiffy Green™ system.
Meet the Business Owner: Karl M.
Our President & Co-founder, Karl Murphy, transformed a military and brick-and-mortar car wash career into the well-run machine that is Spiffy. Karl leads Operations and Sales, growing the business across geographies, channels, and services. He also keeps his finger on the car wash pulse as the President of Carolina Auto Spa, an NC-local fixed car wash business. When he’s not inspiring the Spiffy troops, Karl can usually be found on his bike. Spiffy’s CEO, Scot Wingo, is a 4-time serial entrepreneur from the Research Triangle Park, NC region. Scot is an industry thought leader in E-commerce, E-service, and the future of mobility. Scot has appeared on CNBC and The Today Show and has contributed thought leadership to the WSJ, New York Times, Forbes, and many other publications. Scot has received numerous awards including Ernst and Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year and Triangle Business Journal’s Businessperson of the Year.
