I came here for a Yelp event and it was amazing. I live in Pacific Beach and this was my first time at this location. I had been at the seaport Village location before which was also excellent. I got the bagel of the month which was the Ube bagel and I got it with the Ube cream cheese and oh my goodness it was so fun. It was a nice purple color so it just made eating it that much more delightful. The staff was also amazing. So polite. I also got the iced chai latte which was absolutely delicious. Thinking about it I'm craving one right now hahaha They do have seating inside but it is limited. There is street parking. If you park on Garnet or on Cass right in front of the establishment it is pay parking. But you can literally Drive one block away and it is free to park in the residential area. Since it is only a few blocks from the beach I can imagine at certain times parking would be trickier than others. But do yourself a favor and come here for a bagel and a drink. read more

Spill the beans Pacific Beach is an awesome cafe! When we first walked in the place was super bright and vibey. There are plenty of spots to sit indoors or outdoors. We tried a few items on their menu: Iced Taro latte - we got this half sweet, but it was well balanced, and the coffee was very tasty. Sun-dried tomato bagel with chive cream cheese - this bagel was light airy and had a nice cheesy sun-dried tomato on top. The cream cheese was also very light and fragrant. Really enjoyed this! Everything bagel with chive cream cheese - had to try this classic bagel and it did not disappoint. Lots of seeds on top and a high-quality bagel The food all came out very quickly, and the baristas were very friendly. I ordered an iced La Vida Mocha and it was MUCH better than the one I had back in March 2025. I think they worked on their recipe a bit with an excellent end result. I also got an everything bagel, toasted with vegan cream cheese. The bagel was fresh, BIG, and very good. My only wish is that STB offer at least one or two more vegan cream cheese options -- scallions would be awesome. Service was super friendly and I got my bagel and drink pretty quick. We love this spot for their "You Are My Everything" heart-shaped bagels sold for Valentine's but we have noticed we consistently have to wait longer than seems reasonable to get bagels sliced and boxed, even when it's not very busy. I love me some good coffee especially coffee that actually wakes up. I ordered an Iced Blondie Mocha for $5.75 and a Pot Head Coffee Cold Brew Can for $4.20. The Iced Blondie Mocha was tasty. Wasn't too watered down and the coffee was filled up to the lid inside of mostly ice. It had a great balance. The Pot Head Coffee Cold Brew Can was really good too. One of the few Coffee Cans that doesn't have that weird coffee can aftertaste. It was surprisingly smooth to drink. Wasn't bitter or too bland which a lot of Nitro Cold Brews attend to be. A local chain coffee shop is now the primary tenant in the historic Dunaway building on this PB street corner. Spill The Beans has aggressively expanded after their OG location debuted several years ago in the Gaslamp Quarter. Parking was metered curbside, or you could use a paid surface lot next to the building. Indoor seating was limited to countertops and a few small tables. The better choice was to use the outside tables on the sidewalk. A menu sheet was posted on a stand just inside the entrance. Coffee, tea, bagels, sandos, and bowls were the categories. Some baked goods and prepackaged beverages were in a display case to the left of the service counter. The Thighmaster Sando was my selection. Egg whites, arugula, tomato, red chili, and garlic cream cheese were the ingredients on a bagel of choice (Sundried Tomato & Cheese was my pick) or a brioche bun. The order was placed inside a takeout bag within 10 minutes. In hindsight, I should have picked a brioche bun or a plain bagel. There was zestiness from the garlic cream cheese and spiciness from the red chili. The sundried tomato and cheese made the sando an overload of flavor. I'm not sure why it cost $12 without a protein included as egg whites don't cost that much. If I did want a protein, another four dollars would have been charged. I gave a 3.5 star rating for my visit to Spill The Beans. read more

Stopped by for a cup of coffee and added on a bagel sandwich. Spill the beans in PB is located on a busy corner on Garnett avenue but has plenty of street parking nearby. The shop is bright and airy with seating inside and outside. I ended up getting a flat white and a McLovin sandwich that had egg, two sausage patties and cheese on a haberno bagel. The coffee and sandwich were both excellent. The coffee had great flavor and was prepared just right with tasty espresso and milk steamed to the right temperature (not scalding hot like Starbucks!). The bagel was also full of flavor and filling with the two sausage patties and heaping portion of scrambled egg on it. Will definitely be stopping by again. read more

Honest review here, My wife went here to grab some coffee, and she brought me back a can of their brand. She got me the Pothead coffee cold brew can, a black, unsweetened taste to try. Now, I make my own coffee at home, and I love coffee. I enjoyed the canned coffee needless to say because other canned coffee tends to have a nitrogen aftertaste which is distasteful. However this canned coffee did not have that which made it enjoyable. I enjoy having sugar and cream in my coffee, but having this black unsweetened brand was actually pretty good! I can't wait to try out more of their brands and actually experience their service and see what kind of ambiance and vibe the location feels. read more

One of my favorite coffee shops! I always get an Iced vanilla latte and it's great! The bagels are also outstanding. It's the place I always recommend to friends when they need a good bagel place. The aesthetic and colors are unmatched. It's a cool dark interior with the signature blue. There's outlets and it's the perfect place to get some work done. The baristas are great too. The bagels are larger, fluffier, and have this perfect subtle sweetness -- rumor has it they're boiled in agave syrup, and honestly, it shows. I ordered the Sun-dried Tomatoes and Cheese bagel with shallot and chive cream and it was absolutely delightful and on par with today's bagel pricing. I also ordered the OTP cold-brew drink, but it was kind of watered down and I personally would not recommend it. I did see a lot of people picking up iced latte drinks with different drizzles so maybe I might have to try them next time. Literally, the best bagel sandwich I've ever head. The jalapeño and habanero bagel with the spicy sauce that comes on the San Dieggo is actually spicy and so freakin delicious. I hope this place does well and sticks around. I plan on eating here regularly. I loved how many different cream cheese flavors there were to choose from and they don't skimp on the amount!! I've been meaning to try their coffee for years, but just never made it to any of their original locations. I love this new location in PB. It was easy enough to find parking (at least for PB standards), and ordering time was quick too. They seem to have a constant flow but never a crazy line which I appreciated. I loved the amount of different coffee, tea, and just drink options in general, plus their obviously amazing selection of bagels. There really is something for everyone. While we did just come here for coffee, their baked goods were calling our names. My husband and I settled upon their cinnamon coffee cake. Perfectly moist and just the right amount cinnamon in every bite. Didn't even need to be warmed, but it being warm didn't hurt! After ordering our drinks, we may have waited 3 minutes before our drinks were ready. So fast honestly. I had the blondie mocha with Mac nut milk and my husband had the cinna-bee latte. Both were perfectly balanced with just enough syrup flavoring but still being able to actually taste their delicious coffee in every sip. I will say my coffee choice was still sweeter than my husbands, but again not overly so. I'm not sure if I could order anything else in the future because I loved my drink so much. Doesn't seem like you could go wrong with anything on their menu. Also! There is a decent amount of seating inside and plenty of room at the bar tops too. When I arrived, I was greeted nicely, and ordered a 12 oz drip coffee and their signature jalapeno and white cheddar bagel. I had it toasted and buttered. Both items came out to $9 and some change. The coffee was a medium roast and had a good dark chocolate flavor with a subtle nuttiness towards the end. Good coffee. The bagel was lightly toasted and came with a sufficient amount of butter. The bagel was very good and had a good chew. The flavor of the jalapenos and white cheddar were very good. The service was very friendly and helpful at the counter. They offer inside and outside seating. I do which they offered a whole wheat or whole grain bagel or bread for their breakfast, lox, and sandwiches. Great looking interior and modern spot. However the prices are steep AND THEY ADD A 4% SURCHARGE without listing it. Expect to pay $20 for a bagel sandwich and small coffee. The pricing would make more sense if they made their own bagels, but they do not. STOP NICKEL AND DIMING US WITH THESE BS FEES!!! Pay your workers better and roll that fee into the menu pricing. I'm more interested in knowing what these guys have in 226 font and the name could honestly not even be on the side. Like if Olive Garden had a huge sign that said mid Italian food and fire freaking breadsticks, I'd get sucked in on a daily basis even though I don't drive/walk/trolley by it. I think I'd still feel the vibes energy if the sign and make it over there. I walked in and asked where the menu was, and instead of helping, I was met with a pretty dismissive look and just pointed in a direction. I genuinely didn't see it at first, and the whole interaction felt unwelcoming. I ended up leaving without ordering. As a business owner who works in customer service, this is unacceptable. My friends wanted to try this local place as we love bagels and coffee. I've been to their gaslamp location and loved the coffee but not the bagel. Same feelings at this location. I have mixed feelings about the bagels, but love the iced mocha that they use the Mexican chocolate in. It's sweet, creamy and delish. The bagels however are still not my favorite. I've tried the sundried tomato and jalapeño and cheese and they're all very soft and doughy, and the texture seems off. I feel like they cook them differently than other places so as the dough is quite dense and doesn't have the crunchier outside with a soft inside. It reminds me more of a grocery store style bagel than a fresh one. It also didn't really seem toasted and I'm not a huge fan of an untoasted bagel and cream cheese. But it was busy and seemed like a lot of people liked it. My friends thought their bagels were alright but nothing crazy. The coffee is def my favorite and that mocha is to die for.
