This laundry service was super friendly and easy to use, it's in a great neighborhood which is part of the reason that I looked them up. I was looking for a wash and fold and this was just that. They have quite a few options for you including same-day rush wash and fold which was a little more expensive because they were busy, or you can do 24 hour or 48 hour pick ups. I ended up getting same-day washing service but not folding since I'm on vaca and needed it back same day . It was better than I expected but the people there really made it great! read more

Love this place, exact opposite of all the other laundry places I have been to in Portland. Friendly nonjudgmental attentive staff. The ambiance is great and the facility is super clean. While the prices are slightly higher than that of the other tweakling swarmed laundromats the fact that the machines are in great working order offsets the cost. I truly believe my clothes and bedding have never been as clean. So if you are tired of endlessly pumping money into ineffective machines to have your clothes coming out smelling like bug shit I highly recommend this place. read more

Today was the first day I used the drop off service and I gotta say it is NOT worth it. I paid $50 and it took over 5 hours for my clothes to be finished. I could have done them myself for $20 and would have been done in an hour and 20 minutes. I know you need to pay your employees but that price is way too high for a far less ideal outcome. This place is super clean and it has some parking spots which is great! We came in to wash our comforters since our machines at home aren't big enough. The associate was super nice and patiently explained the machine to us and gave us complimentary natural soap. We sat down at the tables and did emails and next thing you know we were in and out in about an hour! It's a bright space and you don't get the heebie jeebies doing your laundry here. Spin takes the stress out of laundry day. It's a modern day laundromat with wifi, a projector, great music, and plenty of space to hang out while you're waiting for your laundry. I actually have a laundry facility in my apartment building, but I prefer to take my clothes here because their washers and dryers are high quality and better maintained compared to the old and run down ones in my apartment. Every surface in there, including the bathrooms, are consistently spotless. I can use my credit card, which eliminates the hassle out of rounding up quarters on laundry day. Every single staff member I've interacted with has been friendly and helpful, even offering me detergent when I forget to bring mine from home. They have a large amount of appliances and I've never had to wait for a machine, even on busy days. I usually use the smaller machines, but their large capacity washers are perfect for when you have a huge mass of clothes or bulky items. Sometimes I'll come by with my roommate to wash a bunch of loads all at once. You can even set up the washers with your phone number to get a text alert when your clothes are done. Genius. With such close proximity to Fred Meyer, I'm able to knock out laundry and grocery shopping at the same time. I will say the parking lot is small, there's only about five spots, but if it's full I'm always able to find a spot close by on Broadway (which is not metered). I can't recommend Spin enough. They've put a great deal of thought and energy into making the laundry process as simple and painless as possible, and it shows. Thank you Spin! read more

Tip- when using your card to pay, select which setting you want first, then on the card machine you press "enter" until the amount on the card reader matches your wash setting, then swipe your card. I don't have laundry at home so I have to go to the laundry mat. It scared me initially bc I had a terrible experience at another laundrymat in town. But Spin, you came through! Clean, covid-safe and fast. Machines are plenty, had no trouble parking on site. They ask you to leave btwn loads and not fold your laundry inside...tbh I'm more than ok w that during a pandemic. They have free soap but I didn't partake. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I asked a couple questions and they were answered with a smile. I was able to walk around the neighborhood or sit in my car btwn loads so I passed the time just fine. Will definitely be back! read more

I work a few buildings down from the new Spin location and I couldn't be happier! Now I can do my laundry on my lunch break (or a little over since the whole wash/dry/fold process takes a little over an hour) and save precious weekend time. I went midday Friday and there were a few other washers but 90% of the machines were available. I used a 6-load capacity one and a cold wash was around $10 which is a little spendy, but to dry was only $0.75 so I guess it evens out. Plus I'm willing to spend a few more dollars to save time! There's a small waiting area with tables and booths that I could easily see getting crowded during peak times. They sell some drinks and snacks which is nice. Overall, it is a great addition to the neighborhood, but doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the Mississippi location does! read more

I have been frequenting Spin for the past year and it does not disappoint. The facility is clean, the staff are friendly and the services/machines are cost effective and reliable. I drive out of my way from SW just because it's always been a good experience. Don't forget to get your stamp card for a free load of laundry! Only bummer is the parking lot has like 5 spaces but there is generally plenty of street parking and it doesn't hurt that there is a pub across the street. read more

My washing machine broke right before a work trip. Spin has clean, efficient machines. The space is bright and modern. They project sports games on a wall. There's wifi and the machines take credit cards. I forgot it's nice to be able to do all of your laundry at once. Spin is great. read more

I found this spin laundry to be very rude and inconsiderate!! I dropped my mask for a few minutes as I was distracted by some "unforeseen" vehicles. Also, there were some peddlers asking me for money! Also it took forever to get the clothes. This company is certainly questionable. I won't be using this laundry ever again!! Normally I have a pleasant experience here. Washing clothes is a tad more expensive but the complimentary soap has always been nice. However, due to covid and business having to follow social distance protocol the public is unable to do their own laundry, but the wash and fold service is being provided at a higher cost per load size. The time before last I also had a great experience with this service, but this time I found it anything but that. An attendant gave me the wrong bag of clothes, and if it werent for my lyft ride showing up I would have inspected the bag, which was a dark colored pull string bag. Upon my arrival home I realized they were not my clothes so I had to take another lyft ride back to spin to get my clothes. I will admit upon my arrival I was already in a grumpy mood due to having to travel all the way back. There were two customers ahead of me and Ill also admit instead of waiting for them to be served I asked if the blonde lady that handed me the sack was still there because I got the wrong load. No apologies given to me whatsoever, just another attendant showing up with the correct load, "here you go" she says and walks back in. I wouldn't be so irritated to the point of downloading Yelp! For the sole purpose of leaving a negative review if I didnt have to pay almost 20+ dollars in rides to and from to correct their mistake and not even get so much as a sorry? The initial purchase I paid for a large load, which really should have been a medium sized load but thats aside the point, plus tip because ai assumed they wouldn't be so un accommodating for their mistakes. I will unfortunately be going back in the future considering its the only place close enough to get my clothes cleaned aside from an even further spin location on fremont. read more

I recently moved out on my own last year and was a complete rookie when it came to laundry. My apartment unit does have an onsite laundromat (really it's just two washers and one dryer which are all really old and not well maintained.) I decided to go to Spin on Broadway since the photos on Yelp made it look like a beautiful place to get laundry done! and I was right! The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. I'm slowly becoming a laundry pro and it's with the help of Spin. It's one of my favorite places to go once a week since it's so clean and well maintained. Maybe i'm crazy or maybe it's just Spin's atmosphere but being there always puts me in a better mood and i'm happy to do my laundry at Spin. I've been putting off washing my huge down comforter, but had a great experience here. The employee in the soap shop was very helpful and gave me good advice about washer and dryer settings. I went to Goodwill while waiting for the wash cycle to be done and Hale Pele while waiting for the dryer. Even on the low setting, it only took an hour to dry. Last time I washed it, I used a home dryer and it took hours to dry, so the industrial-size machines here were worth it. read more

I did laundry there last and ended up with runs in my brand new bed sheets and in some of my synthetic running shirts. My bed sheets have multiple runs in both sheets and the pillowcases. The washing machines must have major issues with the metal drums if this is happening. I'll have to buy new sheets and running shirts now, not super happy about it. read more

By FAR, the greatest laundromat we have ever been to. We're traveling up the coast camping and needed a place to wash our clothes and found Spin. Keegan, the attendant, was amazingly helpful and extremely nice. She helped us find the right machines and even gave us free detergent to do our laundry. Where I come from in NY, there is no such thing as free, so thank you Spin. The laundromat itself was incredibly clean, the machines were amazingly modern (a text when your laundry is done ... whaaat?) and they had great seating to read or pass time while you wait. Awesome. Spin is great! This location doesn't have a cafe, but they do have snacks and even a cute map telling you places to check out "their neighbors". I love when local businesses support each other. I'd been to the location on Fremont but recently moved closer to this location. I love that they offer free detergent and I checked in here and got a free dry! The blonde who works here and helped me was super friendly and nice, even when I approached them when they were mid conversation with another customer. They asked if I knew how to use the credit card function on the washing machine and I could see them keeping the place clean and I never had to search for an employee for help. read more

I rarely use wash and fold services but my washing machine in my building was out and I had a couple of loads that need to be taken care of when I went To this place to get my clothes washed( because they were not allowing entry ) the lady said that for the fees for washing it includes folding, so I agreed, explaining to her that I needed the items back and folded before noon the next day she agreed, but when I picked up my laundry today none of it was folded. When I asked about it the other employee asked me if I requested it? My response to her was no I didn't request it it was offered to me and I excepted it then I spent $42 on something I could've spent less than half is it was just washed not even sorted the way it was when I brought it to them. I'm very disappointed I will never go there again the service so/so the people providing the service morons read more

I've been going to spin for three years now and had never had an issue before. The first bad experience I had was in May, I dropped off laundry at the Broadway location and upon returning home to fold it, it smelled strongly like sweaty feet. It was disgusting & took three separate washes (different laundromat) to remove the smell. I paid $40+ for three bags of laundry, I kind of would prefer for it to smell clean, I don't feel like thats a lot to ask. I am pretty understanding & especially during covid I get these employees are working extremely hard and stuff happens! Begrudgingly, I went back to Spin & paid extra for their lavender scented soap. The smell was fine, but I later realized they forgot to give me my laundry bag back. I called and was told they'd let me know if they found it, never got that call. When the Fremont location opened for self service I was thrilled! I bought their $15 laundry bag & small bag for washing delicate items for a future wash. Later both of those bags would completely melt in the dryer! It ruined most of my underwear & a bunch of other items in the dryer. I've been out of a job since March due to covid & there's a coin shortage so Spin is kind of my only option even though it's a bit pricier. I honestly hate writing this review but after I had to throw out a chunk of my wardrobe & wasting a solid amount of money trying to wash out the foot smell, I decided to send an email to ask for credit or a refund. After almost a month of no response, I'm here to say I'm bummed out bc I used to/normally love Spin but if I don't get any form of response or accountability I'm probably not going to come back :( read more
