The whole team at SPiN Seattle went above and beyond to make my department's annual team building event better than any we've had in the past. They were very well staffed. We had more than enough servers taking and delivering drink orders and passing around food. There was never a moment where I had to search someone out or felt like we were being ignored. For planning and communication, I worked with Chelsea and she organized everything beautifully and helped work within our budget. Responses were fast and detailed and the web interface SPiN uses for event planning is very user friendly. I had easy access to the invoice, receipts, contract, and all the correspondence. It was really the icing on the cake! On the day of the event (which was today!) Max at SPiN helped organize and run a ping pong tournament for our whole team! As the event organizer from my team, I was expecting to do this work, but no! Max ran everything which allowed me to relax and actually enjoy the event (BIG thanks to Max for being amazing, his energy kept people smiling). The whole atmosphere was energizing and fun which is what we were hoping for! Max even took on our top player in a final ping pong match! What a fun and unique bar! I've been to other bars that have games but this one takes the cake! We came on a busy night and we were able to get a table within 10 minutes. From front desk to our server, everyone was super nice and accommodating. We ordered some food - fries, grilled shishito peppers and duck duck goose sliders. The sliders were AMAZING and the peppers weren't too spicy. I was super impressed. As for their cocktails, you can't go wrong. All of the ones we tried were delicious and refreshing. Rough experience here last night. Our server was new. I completely understand the learning curve, but it was clear that there had been no training. Huge struggles putting our food in. Our meal came out at different times, and the last to arrive was a pizza for the kids. The pizza was literally dripping with grease, and we tried our best to use napkins to catch some of the grease but in the end sent it back and asked just for a plain hamburger. After a few moments, our server returned to say they couldn't make their hamburger plain. At that point we cut our losses, paid the bill, and then had to take our kids somewhere else to eat. While standing near one of the ping pong tables one of the waiters ran directly in to me, spilling my drink and breaking my glass, and stormed in to the kitchen without pause. I followed him in, explained to the other staff what had happened, and was told "sorry he's just socially awkward." Surprised by the response, I told the manager, who had the same explanation. I appreciate the offer to buy me a beer (after I'd closed my tab), but the more important message I got was that you weren't going to do anything to prevent it from happening again. read more

Spin is a really cool spot and in a location/area that needs fun spots. The interior is cool and the drinks/food are decent priced. My only issue is overbooking of corporate events they host. I have been here a couple times now where I have waited several hours for a table while tables are not being used at capacity. Even more recently last week when not a single table was being used but, I was put on a waitlist for 1 1/2 hours. First the front desk should just tell customers that tables won't be ready until then and at the very least keep one table open for the general public. The service was fantastic, with staff picking up balls for you while you're playing ping pong (so you never have to bend over). Drinks and snacks were delicious too, highly recommend the "Back spin" or the "Top Spin" drink. The interior is very cool as well, with a bathtub full of ping pong balls and street art-themed artwork on the wall like Bruce Lee. To start off I use to enjoy coming to Spin for reasonably priced food and ping pong. So we ordered some food a Fried chicken sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich for $15 dollars each and two cocktails for about $12 each. You can order a grilled chicken sandwich or a fried chicken sandwich (we ordered fried). Our server named Jay took our order and didn't seem to pleased to help us with. We waited and once our order came by and we mentioned to someone that we requested fried chicken sandwich they were kind to accommodate and re make us the sandwich. However Jay our server came by and explained that it was a fried chicken sandwich but seemed annoyed that we questioned if it was fried or not. The sandwich appears grilled and maybe just fried very lightly or something because that's not a fried chicken sandwich at all. To top it off we played maybe like 15 mins of ping pong and after are bad service experience with Jay I was closing out. I found out that ping pong for just 1 hour is $39 dollars! I don't remember it being that expensive to play before. Save your money and go to game works for some quality fun and cheaper drinks. The only nice thing about our experience was the assistant general manager who took off the charge for ping pong for us and also the pulled pork sandwich was great. read more

SPiN Seattle is so much fun! The walls are filled with street art which is really cool it's fun in itself to walk around and see the different artwork that is filled on all of the walls. The staff are very attentive, they walk around to check on you- see if you need to order drinks, food etc. The best part of it all, there's a huge bowl filled with ping pong balls, so you don't have to run to grab the ball every time it flies away (I am not that good at ping pong that running to get it consists of most of my time, lol). It is a little pricey, but definitely worth hanging out with your friends and playing. We just paid for one table and kept switching players. The decor is awesome b/c I'm a lover of street art. I came solo and didn't get a chance to play ping pong but I'm going to bring a friend next time around. The drinks were fantastic. I had the sunshine whiskey and Jameson mule. The ginger in the mule made me smile. I ordered the veggie tacos and well... I won't make that life choice again. The tacos were like 3/4ths of a note. I could mildly taste the flavor of the corn tortilla however the contents on the inside bland. The bartender eventually offered some hot sauce which is while I gave a little more than 1/2 a note. The drinks, atmosphere, and service is what made this a 3 star place. If I had to base it on the tacos-1 star. Beware you may get hit with a ping pong ball or two. A friend and I were in the mood for some Ping Pong and dragged our group of 5 along. As soon as we walked in and started our walked down the stairs the artwork on the walls drew everyone in. This place is fun. I'm kind of surprised with all the mixed reviews. I've been here a few times with my hubby and friends, and I love that you don't have to pick up any balls! We haven't been here when it's been super busy, so luckily, we haven't had to wait for a ping pong table. The food here is also decent, although we don't come here for the food. Their cocktails are good, as well. The decor and ambiance of this place is pretty cool. And I like that there's a free photo booth in the back. It's kind of annoying that some of the ping pong tables are a bit too close. It's not a huge deal, but it gets annoying at times. And the pricing structure isn't the best, either. They charge per person, which seems ridiculous to me, since usually only 2 people can play at once per table. Might as well get multiple tables if you have 4 or more people in your group.
