Had a great time here for a friend's birthday! I liked the art decor, it has a nice street graffiti meets urban feel. There's a in-house DJ as well. Great for pictures and a large crowd but during peak-hours the prices for a ping-pong table is a bit steep. You might also get hit by ping-pong balls depending on where you sit but it's all for good fun. It's nice that you don't have to pick up your own ping-pong balls, you can keep on hitting it and if you miss, get a different one. My boyfriend and I had a great evening here last night! We came in for happy hour and played ping pong for 30 mins (prices at this time of day were $15 for 30 mins or $25 for an hour). The happy hour drink and food prices were great! He got a shot and a Rainer for $10 and I had the house white wine for $7, we also ordered the Tennessee Chicken Sliders, which were reasonably priced and delicious! We stuck around after happy hour because our server was so great and the atmosphere was really cool. Later into the evening we ordered the Chicken Shawarma and the recommendation of our server, and it did not disappoint! It was served like a taco on pita bread with amazing sauce and pickled onions. Overall we loved SPiN and will definitely be back many more times in the future! read more

Very cool venue. I'm definitely coming back. Even if you don't dig ping pong, the attention to detail and the design/layout is on point. The music was a mix of new and oldish hip-hip classics (on Friday nights at least). Oh and it's a bit pricey. I.e. house fries were $8 but they were dope af and they do something special to the ketchup. Srimp bao bun was $13 but they were a perfect mix of sweet bun and crunchy battered shrimp. The thai peanuts at the button were so good we ordered them as a side. The hop pop chicken (also $13) was my personal favorite. Ginger buttermilk is friggin genius. The portion size and the flavor make me feel petty for even mentioning the prices. The only reason I couldn't give it 5-stars: no servers and/or lack of communication about needing to order at the bar. Not a huge deal but makes for awkward waiting. That's it though. Fun for a minute, but not worth the money. We came on St. Patrick's day in the afternoon. It wasn't busy and we had a larger group but the service was terrible!! The bartender had a line and moved so slowly and we never saw our server. The front desk attendant was pretty awesome but unfortunately he was the only one. Honestly, I tried to give this place a chance. Saturday night, I try to hit this place up, closed for private event, which sucks because I paid for parking already to come here exclusively. Not wanting my parking to go to waste, hit up gameworks instead. Tuesday night, nothing on website posted about private event because I checked this time. Denied entry again because guess what, private event. Two times in a row of private event, no entry, nothing posted on website about Spin Seattle closed. Even with the website saying closed for private events, seems like a lot of impromptu closures and not really a place that you can reliably play some ping pong and have some food/drinks. I'm sure this place is fun if you can get in, but after paying 20 bucks for parking/uber, I'm going to pass on coming here again. I would advise against planning on coming here, if you walk by and there's no private event sign, you may have another chance to get rejected at the front desk as well. read more

We held our post-holiday company party for 10 people at Spin and it was awesome! The food was fantastic (especially the sliders, falafel bites and hop pop chicken), the atmosphere was lively and the staff were all excellent! I was visiting from out of town and decided on SPIN as it was just a block over from my hotel. The place has a pretty great ambiance and it wasn't very busy - so that was a plus. But the service was soooo slow and I only ever got half of the food I ordered. I ordered two appetizers and waited about 30 minutes before I had to go up to the bar to ask if the order would be out sometime soon. The bartender was apologetic and polite about the situation and checked on it for me. Apparently, my food was given to the wrong table and they kept the food? The bartender was great and placed another order for me and said it would be out in about 10 minutes. Well, I got my order of fries after about 15 minutes and not the brussel sprouts. The server said it would likely be another 20 minutes for the rest of the order. Keep in mind that by this point I waited about 45 minutes for an order of fries and to be told I'd have to wait for the rest... no thanks. The server was polite and said he could cancel the order and comp the fries - which I thought was nice considering I had waited for almost an hour to only eat fries that were barely warm. To top it all off, they still charged me for the two appetizers. Not a good experience at all. read more

The bar is down a set of stairs, greeting you at the bottom of the stairs is a bathtub full of pin pongs you can jump in to take some pictures in, security to check IDs and the front desk where you can reserve a ping pong table if you would like. Note: You don't have to play ping pong if you don't want to. There is plenty of seating throughout the venue to hang, chill, chat or just have a cocktail. There is a modern cheek bar with some bartenders that can make some top notch drinks. The venue plays fun, upbeat, current music. I have been told that they have beer pong nights as well but I have not attended one of those nights just yet. read more

Came here a couple of times already and it has been a great time. I the space is really cool with the interior design and ambiance. There is a DJ booth with a good amount of seating and off course quality ping pong tables. The drinks are pretty tasty and the food/service is great. I recommend anyone on a date or with a group of friends to drop by. I can imagine it can get packed on the weekends and possibly after work hours. Be aware a ping pong ball could land in your drink or food so be alert lol. read more

Went during COMICON weekend so there was a $20 cover which was understandable but the event wasn't really different than any other night other than having patrons dressed up. The bartender made a great absinthe shot, but after the initial service, decided to leave since service was slow on an actual slow night. I would return for the ping pong though! This place is very hip indeed, with beautiful décor and solid albeit a bit pricey food and drinks. The concept is great and I particularly appreciated the staff picking up balls for us. However, what's preventing me from giving this place a better rating was the service, and one interaction in particular. We arrived at the bar at 5PM, a few minutes ahead of our friends who would be joining us at the table. There were plenty of free tables, but we said we didn't want to get our hour of play started until our friends arrived. The front of house host kindly said not to worry, and that they would show us to our table but only start our time at 5:10. Great! Our friends arrive within a few minutes and we begin to play. After fifteen minutes or so, a staff member comes over and tries to take our paddles. We explain that there must be a mistake, since we just started playing. She walks off to confer with someone else and we continue playing. Ten minutes later, someone else comes up with a 10 minute warning sign and tells us our time is almost up again. We explain that we booked an hour, and, once again, there must be some mistake. She seems doubtful but says she'll go check on it. To avoid the interruptions to our game, one of our party went to the front check-in area to speak with the person who checked us in--surely she would get it sorted out! However, when he approached the desk, he was told to "chill out" and go back to the table...only for the staff to realize our estimation of the situation was correct. No apology, no nothing. We continued our game in good spirits as to not make a scene, but we were left with a very bad taste in our mouths. The interruptions and logistical mistakes were mildly annoying but forgivable. The rudeness, however, I find inexcusable. Don't tell a customer who's trying to help get to the bottom of your mistakes to "chill out." Nope. read more

Had such a fun night here on Friday!! We were a group of 7, and got one table for an hour which was plenty of time to all get to play as much as we wanted. We only had to wait about 15 minutes to get our table. We also were able to watch the Pro Ping Pong match, which was definitely impressive and entertaining. Staff was very helpful and responsive to questions we had, and they seem to be doing a great job for such a new business! The decor is really cool, and the layout of the space has a really neat vibe. The staff are constantly coming around and picking up stray balls and they also come around to take your drink orders. They have a full bar as well as various food options. They also have private rooms that you can reserve in advance for parties. Our server (I think his name was Ryan) was so helpful and did a great job even though it was a really busy night! He tracked us all down when we switched locations, and was great at keeping all our separate tabs straight. We will definitely be back! I am too old for this place. I walk down the double set of stairs into the dungeon that is Spin. Super hipster friendly staff at the front desk greet you as you walk in the door past an old bathtub filled with dented ping pong balls. My friend hadn't arrived yet and the front desk informed me that it's $40 to rent a table for an hour and $30 for half an hour. I look around and only a few of the dozen or so tables are taken at 5 PM on a Monday night. I told them I would get back to them. As I pondered if I wanted to take the effort to play ping-pong for $40 an hour, I wandered to the bathroom full of hipster art. Walls were covered in what looked like decoupaged magazine cutouts of pop culture stars (found at Flavorpaper.com) This review is way too long. When my friend arrived we decided we just stick with the food and as we sat there the place filled up with hipsters from Microsoft nearby. We are in our late 30s and pretty much everybody else in the entire bar was in their early 20s. Came here for lunch after exploring pike place market! It's a fairly new place for people to hang out play ping pong, grab drinks and a bite to eat. Overall the ambiance here is great! It's a pretty cool place filled with ping pong tables, lounge type couches and a club like feel. For lunch here I got the curious George drink and a barbecue chicken pizza. The curious George drink was awesome! It has gin, lemon, ginger and basil. It's really light and refreshing but it's also probably the tiniest drink I've ever gotten. For $12 a drink I would have expected a little more volume. Again, the flat bread was really tasty. It comes with an avocado jalapeño drizzle which is pretty unique and adds a nice kick to the barbecue sauce. It was good but the dough was a little tough and it didn't taste very fresh. Overall this is a decent place to hang out but it's a little pricey. I can't complain too much because it is downtown but $30 dollars for a half hour just doesn't seem worth it to me, when there are billiard and bowling places more reasonably priced around. read more

A fun concept. We got a table and decided to chill on a Friday evening. We reached around 8 pm and there were enough empty tables. We ordered their mushroom bao, korean cauliflower, mutton sliders and truffle fries. It was my first experience here and I kinda found it was fun Way to bond with friends. The hostess was warm and the food reached the table pretty quickly. The food was just ok and we had to return the cauliflower dish as it was something no one at the table liked( we were five of us and from different parts of the world ). The waitress was kind to cancel the order but wasn't happy about it visibly. Parking was a hassle however and that is a no brainer am sure . I wish there was an option to rate half stars then my rating would have been 3.5 but not 4. The cost of the table is 39$ per hour and they reminded us that our time to renew the table hours was in 10 Mins and that I felt was nice. read more

I was in town visiting friends and while the ladies went wedding dress shopping, us guys decided to hit up this spot for drinks. Considering it was a Friday in the middle of the day, we were like one of three other groups there and the place is huge. I imagine it would be hopping had we come in later in the day. There are at least 12 ping pong tables just waiting to be played. We didn't play, but with the right group of people and time of day we totally would have! We just sat at their bar and ordered a few drinks. They have lightly carbonated sangria that my friend ordered and he liked it. I just ordered a good old fashion and it hit the spot. My friend and I just caught up on life while the bartender also conversed with us on occasion. When we got up to use the restroom, other staff members also checked in on us asking if we needed anything then to just let them know. Really good service. We randomly ended up here after dinner because they were open late. At first we were a little hesitant because we've never been to a joint like this. Sooo happy we decided to go, the concept of it is really awesome. The DJ was playing some dope music. The overall vibe was chill. The service was the best. The atmosphere was awesome, the drinks - bleh. The best part of playing Ping Pong in a bar was not having to chase the balls. There's baskets next to the table, and you just grab another as the ball goes flying. It's a great atmosphere from the lighting, pictures, music to the great hosts, hostes and ball picker-uppers. Everyone was super nice. From a venue however, the attraction is a great bar that could have great drinks. We ordered two whiskey sours, and all they had was pour mans, bar sour mix. They knew to have higher quality dark cherries, but the liquor pour was just non-tasteful. I offered to pay for one, (not sure why), and the waitress removed the cost of the other. For $15/drink, on top of paying for the table, there needs to be high quality mixology to go with the high quality price. Hopefully, they'll get this sorted out as it has great potential. read more
