Ive flown Spirit quite a lot over the last 2 years and have never had a bad experience. I book the first flight out and direct to Orlando from Rochester NY and try to get the last direct flight home. Never a problem.

FRAUD! They do not let the passengers board and force them to buy return tickets from them. They say the tickets are fully refundable but then when you request a refund, they only give reservation credit! This is an obvious scam. I am surprised that the DOT does not do anything about it.

A friend and I had gotten delayed on our flight to Newark from Orlando for two hours, then two and a half, and finally 3 hours before we thought of trying LGA. The agent was about to start boarding that flight and sent us over to the help service desk. With no line and incredible ease we were able to switch our flights right away and board directly after. Joel and I would love to thank the agents Camilo and Annette for their insane expertise, wonderful help, and spectacular attitudes. We will Continue to fly with them, not for the planes and comfort, but the price and the service. Thanks Spirit

Our flight to PR was late about an hour, but both flights were amazing. A bit of turbulence, but nothing out of the ordinary. The staff was pretty good. Air flight price was the cheapest I found, but they charge for everything; your seat, your luggage, etc.

Goodbye New Orleans as we watch the sun rise over the Mississippi River.

A quick roundtrip from Tampa to New Orleans and back. Spirit lifted us Up Up and Away! A perfect trip. No issues. No delays. Silky smooth rides. Excellent Customer Service in the terminal and onboard. Thanks for the lift!

Offer a cup of water for free! How pathetic - $200.00 for a one way ticket and was told I was one row behind the rows that get a free drink/snack, wouldn't even give water! Shame on you Spirit! Thanks for the cup of ice, good thing I wasn't choking! Thankful to the pilot for landing safe!

Traveled to MKE, on Spirit Airlines today 5/30/24 . I was checked in by flight attendant Corrina, who displayed the most professional attitude toward the passengers and myself that I had to write this review. I'm sending her a shoutout for her service. Kudos to Spirit.employees.

I have flown Spirit Airlines countless times and have never had an issue with them. Yes, you have to pay for your bags and honestly, any perceived savings is just that, a perceived savings. My trip this time was to Las Vegas, Nevada. I really had no issues. For my flight to Las Vegas, I was able to get a non-stop flight, but on the way home to Orlando, Florida, I had to deal with a layover in Houston, Texas. It was a bit under two hours, so it was not that huge of a deal. I know Spirit gets some negative comments about, but I never had an issue. Yes, they charge for bags and whatnot, but it is what it is. I have used Spirit for many trips and again, I had no issues on this trip, nor can I recall a time that I had any serious issue. Spirit has been around for awhile now and I believe that they are the fastest growing airline in the country. I would recommend Spirit as an airline.

No bells and whistles at all. It was worth the low fare in my opinion. I'd fly them again. :) You can trust me, I can be frugal. ;D

Looking back, I should've taken Frontier as an omen…read more This trip was for my aunt's birthday cruise aboard Norwegian Prima, and somehow the vacation started unraveling before I even made it to Orlando. I'll be transparent: I was late to my original flight. That part is true. It wasn't because I overslept or mismanaged my time, but because someone else's delay caused us to arrive later than planned. I'm not asking Frontier to ignore their policies or hold an airplane for me. What I am asking for is consistency. Instead, I got conflicting information from nearly every person I spoke with. The Frontier ticket counter told me one thing. The customer service phone agents told me something else. Another customer service representative contradicted the previous one. Then I'd finally make it back to the front of the line, only to be told something completely different again. At one point, I literally made the desk agent read every note from my previous phone conversations because somewhere between the call center and the airport counter, the message kept getting lost in translation. I wasn't even able to have the phone representative speak directly with the desk agent, so I became the middleman, bouncing back and forth between the counter and customer service like I was negotiating an international peace treaty instead of trying to catch a flight to Orlando. The most frustrating part involved checked baggage. We had an email stating one deadline. The airport staff cited another. We were told checked bags had to be there by a certain cutoff, despite us arriving within what we believed was the required window based on Frontier's own communication. By the time we reached the counter, we were simply told the window had already closed. Maybe that's the policy. Fine. But if that's the policy, then every Frontier employee should be explaining the same policy the same way. That wasn't happening. In the end, there were no exceptions. No flexibility. No meaningful attempt to help. Just a $261 one-way rebooking fee to move me from my original noon-ish departure to an evening flight around 7:30 p.m. So instead of starting my vacation, I got to spend most of the day sitting in Detroit Metro Airport. The irony? I paid for TSA PreCheck, and by the time all this unfolded, it didn't even matter. I breezed through security only to spend the next several hours sitting in the terminal wondering why I'd bothered paying for expedited screening in the first place. To make matters even more interesting, we later found out someone else in our travel group, traveling separately, also experienced issues with Frontier that delayed them until later in the day. Maybe it was bad luck. Maybe that's just how Frontier operates. Either way, it didn't inspire confidence. The actual flight itself was...fine. It got me to Orlando safely, and I'll gladly give credit where it's due. Once I was finally on the plane, there wasn't much to complain about. The problem wasn't the flying. The problem was everything required to get onto the airplane. Frontier seems to operate under the same à la carte philosophy as Norwegian Cruise Line: charge separately for everything while making the rules feel like they're changing depending on which employee you ask. Policies are policies. I understand that. But inconsistent communication is not a policy, it's a customer service failure. If you're going to tell customers "no," at least have everyone telling them the same "no." Unfortunately, because this was a round-trip ticket, I still have to fly Frontier home unless I want to eat the cost and book another airline. But once this trip is over, I can confidently say this: If Frontier is my only option in the future, it had better be because every other airline has disappeared from the departure board. Otherwise, I'll happily pay more to avoid repeating this experience. By the time I finally landed in Orlando, I thought the hard part of my vacation was behind me. Little did I know, Frontier was just the opening act. Norwegian, Lyft, and Local Rides were waiting to headline the rest of the week. As I'm writing this review, I literally just checked in for my return flight and paid to upgrade my seat. Why? Because after this week, I'm going to be comfortable going home after all this bullsh!t. Frontier already got another few dollars out of me, but at least this time I know exactly what I'm paying for. If the seat reclines and lands in Detroit, it'll probably end up being the best value purchase of my entire vacation.

Several hours at the airport was already expected and accounted for, but then my Alaska Airlines flight was delayed for no reason and continued to be delayed at every hour interval until we finally left the ground at 11pm. We were never told why it was delayed so much. There is absolutely nothing to do at this airport, or at least in the terminal I was in. They could at least add some random small Disney store or fun bar in the area! There weren't any charging stations or work tables to busy oneself. I just spent the time pacing back and forth the outdated large hallway watching some idle planes, and sat around. On the flight, they didn't even give us more than one snack to compensate! The TSA line was oddly long, too. It wrapped around several times, but it may have been because of recent REAL ID confusion. They seemed to be on the watch for something, because they had some dogs walking back and forth as people crossed a section one by one. At least the security is active here? Checking in a few hours before board time got us a window and adjoining seat near the middle of the plane, behind the wings. For certain T-Mobile plans, you get free wifi on the plane. Entertainment is only offered when you connect to your own device - they removed the seat tablets. There are USB and charging outlets on the seats. I usually prefer flying with Alaska Airlines, but this experience was maddening.

Then, it was US Airways flying across the country, again from Phoenix, and I was getting upgraded regularly. Now, it's American Airlines that I frequent, along with past America West Airlines and US Airways patrons. I find that, as with any other airline, customer service is often better than not, but there are always a few hiccups. With American Airlines, you can get someone on the phone, on a chat, on social media, or in person to assist, and with some respect on our part, we can often get what we need. I rarely have luggage issues, though there was one time when my bag was damaged, and American Airlines gave me a replacement while they repaired my original. I regularly fly in and out of the American Airlines gates at Phoenix Sky Harbor and frequent hubs like Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago O'Hare, Philadelphia, and Charlotte. I even make it out to Orlando on occasion, having visited at least every few years for a conference or an occasional Disney World vacation. Often, my travels require a connecting flight, and my flights are, more often than not, on time and without delays in departure or arrival. With status, an American Airlines credit card, and membership in CLEAR and Global Entry, I do not pay for luggage, receive priority luggage handling, board early, speed through security, sometimes receive upgrades, and access lounges. Traveling has become more of a hobby and a habit, and with American Airlines as my go-to airline, I accumulate miles quickly while also earning status and Loyalty Point rewards. I have two travel premium credit cards: the AAdvantage Executive Mastercard, which offers complimentary Admirals Club access, and the American Express Platinum card, which offers lounge access, travel credits, and complimentary CLEAR and Global Entry memberships. With these two credit cards, I can access the Admiral's Club at Orlando International Airport or The Club at MCO. I may even be able to visit the Plaza Premium Lounge, though I've never checked. Also, through T-Mobile, I received free Wi-Fi on American Airlines flights (though now it is free for anyone with an AAdvantage account). Through my American Airlines AAdvantage status, I get upgrades or free paid snacks and drinks on flights, along with other benefits. To retain status each year, you need to earn Loyalty Point through flying, credit card spending, and promotions. You can also earn Loyalty point rewards after hitting 175,000 points, 250,000 points, and so on. While it is difficult to receive upgrades due to the large number of people at the Executive Platinum status tier, the benefits I do receive are worthwhile. I have also experienced technical issues on flights, but not enough to cause me to abandon American Airlines, especially when every other airline faces the same challenges. All in all, American Airlines is a great company and does as well, if not better than, any of the other major airlines.

Prices vary depending on scheduled trip (earlier is more $$). the perks of EvenMore are 1) extra legroom (up to 7 inches), 2) up to 3 free alcoholic drinks on flights over 250 miles, 3) priority access (groups 1/2), 4) dedicated overhead bin space, 5) 1 extra snack besides the usual free ones (called a premium snack (ie: tates mini chocolate chip cookies) Seats - Overall, though the added benefits seem promising, the pluses really only save about 30-45 minutes of extra waiting time for deplaning if you compare sitting in the first 5 rows (EvenMore) vs Standard core economy (behind EM). The EvenMore seats also depend on type of aircraft. Bigger plan will have 1-2 more designated rows. Snacks - The extra premix snack is so small. All of the snacks are much smaller (ie: chifles plantains (.65 oz) and goldfish (.75 oz)). Honestly, they look like halloween treat bags. The goldfish bags retail for on average 27 cents per bag.... SMH. They should bring back the jetblue purple chips (ICONIC!!!). Drinks - Their decaf coffee is an instant folgers stick and they offer Dunkin coffee. As for the max 3 free drinks, I didnt see anyone get even their 2nd drink. After the stewards go down the aisle for our first drinks, they dont come by again for drinks. it just feels a little awkward to ask for 2nd/3rd ones... Other offerings - On EM, you can get headphones upon request. Everything else is $. a quilted blanket is $11 pretax. The movie offerings were only 3 (Michael (the Michael Jackson biopic, mario movie, and something other). The TV remote is not wired so it is a bit awkward to look at the remote while changing channels. Is it worth it? Not for me if it beyond $60+. The value just isn't there. So much is not included. It is great for tall people or people in a hurry, but the "free" amenities are very disappointing.

If you have your Magic Band ready when you get off the plane, it's incredibly easy, and you just walk up and scan your Magic Band and they tell you what line to stand in. Line 10 is AKL for both villages and Coronado. A personal gripe of mine; I don't think Deluxe resorts should have to share busses. Before this trip, we'd always stayed at Polynesian and Grand Floridian. They are both Deluxe resorts, and they share with Contemporary, and all of those resorts are right next to each other, so it didn't really bother me. But this time we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we stopped at Art of Animation and Pop Century before getting to AKL. I just think the Deluxe resorts are so much more expensive that they could get their own busses. In any case, I landed at the airport at 3:45, was on a bus by 4:15, and on resort at 5:07. I don't think it's worth the cost of an Uber to get there like a half hour faster, but that's up to you. One thing that's great about Disney is that you don't need to worry about transportation at all once you get there, and I really appreciate that. And if you check bags, you don't even need to get those, and they'll deliver them right to your room. I had a very early flight home though, and they picked me up excessively early. I got picked up at 5:30am for an 8:30am flight. I didn't have luggage, but if I did I could have checked it at the resort, so no one needs to be at the airport that early. I sat around for a good 2 hours before my flight. That might have been worth taking an Uber just so I could sleep another hour. Navigating their website and app was a bit confusing so the day we flew out, we had to update his KTN with the check-in agent. If you're a government employee, this can be a hassle and set back if you do have precheck. The check-in agent has to manually enter the KTN for you. This was a minor setback that we had for my hubby. But no big deal.. we got to the airport 3 hours prior and got everything squared away in time. Now to the flight... the flight was smooth, no turbulence whatsoever. What was suppose to be an 8 hour flight turned into 7 hours so we ended up getting to London an hour earlier. It was a full flight, probably about 200 passengers on board. The flight attendants were amazing. We were served food and drinks every hour. They provided head phones, blankets and pillows. I couldn't sleep on the plane because I was so excited to be on vacation so I watched 4 movies. Would I fly with Virgin Atlantic again? Absolutely!

I've flown Southwest Airlines quite a bit over the years, and since moving to Orlando--especially…read morewith trips to Pittsburgh--it's easily become my go-to airline. Overall, Southwest has been super reliable for me. Sure, there are occasional delays, but they've mostly been weather-related. On a recent MCO to PIT flight, we had about an hour delay due to weather, but they made up time in the air and it only ended up being about a 30-minute delay. Plus, the flight wasn't full, which made for a really comfortable ride. One thing I actually like is their boarding process. It's almost like a virtual queue--check in early, get a better boarding position, and you've got a solid shot at a good seat. Wait too long, and you're probably heading toward the back. Flying solo, it doesn't matter much to me, but with family, that early check-in strategy definitely comes into play. Their rewards program is solid, the staff is consistently friendly and communicative, and they just get you where you need to go without the headaches. Not much to complain about here--Southwest has earned its spot as my preferred airline in the sky. Wheels up!
