Today was a great example as to why I love American Air. We arrived at Orlando airport and received a notice that my flight from Daytona was changed. That is when I realized we drove to the wrong airport. Luckily the attendant sent us to special services where Carolyn Luciano greeted us with a smile. After explain our mistake she got to work on the computer and changed all our flights to and from Boston for a Mother's Day trip. We had new tickets and on our way in a short time. Great flight and actually got in to Boston sooner than my original booking would have done. Thank you SOOOOOO much Carolyn Luciano.

It's air travel. What can you say? Our flight was on time. We quickly printed our boarding passes and checked out luggage. TSA was quick. The whole process took 20 minutes start to finish, but timing is always a factor.

Aggravating American Airlines Strikes Again! So this time - on the trip home - we decided to check one bag because we had purchased some liquids that we didn't want to get rid of or ship home. So we paid online (ahead of arriving at the airport) for a checked bag. We got a $5 discount for paying ahead online. Yay! Almost yay! Because when we got to the airport and went to check our bag - we were asked if we'd like to check the others (for free) due to limited bag space. So the dilemma is, I suppose, solved by bringing bags that comply with TSA and either bring them through TSA and be forced to bag check (for free) at the gate; or possibly bag check for free when checking in at the counter (again - prepared with only TSA compliant bags, given that we may need to pass TSA with luggage if free bag check is not offered at the counter. The idea of having to pay for bags at all was already aggravating - yet with the way American is forcing bags on for free or sometimes offering free at the counter - is aggravating. Get a freaking policy and stick with it. Either charge us or don't. Quit causing some to pay for checked bags when you're throwing around so much free bags (forced or "spot" offered). It's aggravating! First world problems - I admit. Aggravating just the same in the first world.

No bells and whistles at all. It was worth the low fare in my opinion. I'd fly them again. :) You can trust me, I can be frugal. ;D

Looking back, I should've taken Frontier as an omen…read more This trip was for my aunt's birthday cruise aboard Norwegian Prima, and somehow the vacation started unraveling before I even made it to Orlando. I'll be transparent: I was late to my original flight. That part is true. It wasn't because I overslept or mismanaged my time, but because someone else's delay caused us to arrive later than planned. I'm not asking Frontier to ignore their policies or hold an airplane for me. What I am asking for is consistency. Instead, I got conflicting information from nearly every person I spoke with. The Frontier ticket counter told me one thing. The customer service phone agents told me something else. Another customer service representative contradicted the previous one. Then I'd finally make it back to the front of the line, only to be told something completely different again. At one point, I literally made the desk agent read every note from my previous phone conversations because somewhere between the call center and the airport counter, the message kept getting lost in translation. I wasn't even able to have the phone representative speak directly with the desk agent, so I became the middleman, bouncing back and forth between the counter and customer service like I was negotiating an international peace treaty instead of trying to catch a flight to Orlando. The most frustrating part involved checked baggage. We had an email stating one deadline. The airport staff cited another. We were told checked bags had to be there by a certain cutoff, despite us arriving within what we believed was the required window based on Frontier's own communication. By the time we reached the counter, we were simply told the window had already closed. Maybe that's the policy. Fine. But if that's the policy, then every Frontier employee should be explaining the same policy the same way. That wasn't happening. In the end, there were no exceptions. No flexibility. No meaningful attempt to help. Just a $261 one-way rebooking fee to move me from my original noon-ish departure to an evening flight around 7:30 p.m. So instead of starting my vacation, I got to spend most of the day sitting in Detroit Metro Airport. The irony? I paid for TSA PreCheck, and by the time all this unfolded, it didn't even matter. I breezed through security only to spend the next several hours sitting in the terminal wondering why I'd bothered paying for expedited screening in the first place. To make matters even more interesting, we later found out someone else in our travel group, traveling separately, also experienced issues with Frontier that delayed them until later in the day. Maybe it was bad luck. Maybe that's just how Frontier operates. Either way, it didn't inspire confidence. The actual flight itself was...fine. It got me to Orlando safely, and I'll gladly give credit where it's due. Once I was finally on the plane, there wasn't much to complain about. The problem wasn't the flying. The problem was everything required to get onto the airplane. Frontier seems to operate under the same à la carte philosophy as Norwegian Cruise Line: charge separately for everything while making the rules feel like they're changing depending on which employee you ask. Policies are policies. I understand that. But inconsistent communication is not a policy, it's a customer service failure. If you're going to tell customers "no," at least have everyone telling them the same "no." Unfortunately, because this was a round-trip ticket, I still have to fly Frontier home unless I want to eat the cost and book another airline. But once this trip is over, I can confidently say this: If Frontier is my only option in the future, it had better be because every other airline has disappeared from the departure board. Otherwise, I'll happily pay more to avoid repeating this experience. By the time I finally landed in Orlando, I thought the hard part of my vacation was behind me. Little did I know, Frontier was just the opening act. Norwegian, Lyft, and Local Rides were waiting to headline the rest of the week. As I'm writing this review, I literally just checked in for my return flight and paid to upgrade my seat. Why? Because after this week, I'm going to be comfortable going home after all this bullsh!t. Frontier already got another few dollars out of me, but at least this time I know exactly what I'm paying for. If the seat reclines and lands in Detroit, it'll probably end up being the best value purchase of my entire vacation.

Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. If you have your Magic Band ready when you get off the plane, it's incredibly easy, and you just walk up and scan your Magic Band and they tell you what line to stand in. Line 10 is AKL for both villages and Coronado. A personal gripe of mine; I don't think Deluxe resorts should have to share busses. Before this trip, we'd always stayed at Polynesian and Grand Floridian. They are both Deluxe resorts, and they share with Contemporary, and all of those resorts are right next to each other, so it didn't really bother me. But this time we were at Animal Kingdom Lodge, and we stopped at Art of Animation and Pop Century before getting to AKL. I just think the Deluxe resorts are so much more expensive that they could get their own busses. In any case, I landed at the airport at 3:45, was on a bus by 4:15, and on resort at 5:07. I don't think it's worth the cost of an Uber to get there like a half hour faster, but that's up to you. One thing that's great about Disney is that you don't need to worry about transportation at all once you get there, and I really appreciate that. And if you check bags, you don't even need to get those, and they'll deliver them right to your room. I had a very early flight home though, and they picked me up excessively early. I got picked up at 5:30am for an 8:30am flight. I didn't have luggage, but if I did I could have checked it at the resort, so no one needs to be at the airport that early. I sat around for a good 2 hours before my flight. That might have been worth taking an Uber just so I could sleep another hour. Navigating their website and app was a bit confusing so the day we flew out, we had to update his KTN with the check-in agent.
