Really great establishment! I was greeted warmly upon entry. I went with the Fort Washington Waffle with strawberries blueberries and pecans . The smell was amazing. Is that vanilla? Cinnamon? Yes! And brown sugar! It honestly didn't even need the maple syrup.

Chickpea and lentil patty. Get you one of these!

This restaurant is the perfect example of how what was meant for evil can be used to your advantage. A few weeks before my visit, some spiteful person busted the front window of this business. That story made its way to my Instagram feed. I had never heard of this business before, so I looked it up on Yelp and honestly, it looked like a pretty dope spot. I hadn't had breakfast yet, so I hopped in my car and made my way over to check them out. I love how this place is unapologetically PG County proud! Most of their menu items are named after different cities within the county. I also appreciate that this restaurant has a number of vegetarian and vegan friendly options. My dad is vegan(ish), and I enjoy putting him on to new places or bringing him delicious meat-free meals and snacks to try. For breakfast I ordered the Upper Marlboro smoothie (with coffee, oatmeal, banana, and dairy-free milk), the chickpea and lentil Caribbean patty, and the "Beltsville" turkey and cheese panini. The first sip of the smoothie definitely caught me off guard... It was VERY different then any smoothie I've ever had before, but it got better as I drank more of it. I couldn't help feel like something was missing though. Maybe peanut butter or chocolate would help tie all of the flavors together. I think it would be better with one or both of those ingredients included. The Beltsville Panini was okay, but there was literally one slice of deli turkey on it. One. I know the cost of everything is going up but come on y'all. One slice of turkey? It had mustard and pickles on it as well ,which was definitely a shock to the taste buds so early in the morning, but it wasn't bad. But it was the chickpea and lentil patty for me!!! I want another one right now just thinking about it. The filling was so well seasoned and the crust was that chewy, flaky texture that I love. A fantastic vegetarian alternative to Jamaican beef patties.

A cozy coffee haven! The vanilla latte was smooth and perfectly balanced, with just the right hint of sweetness. Their blueberry scone was soft, buttery, and a delightful treat. The café had a warm, inviting vibe, and I loved their comfy seating ideal for a relaxing afternoon.

Came here for a quick morning snack before my hike & was not disappointed ! I got a customised smoothie w mango & berries & the vegan waffle . I asked for strawberries & pecans on the waffle & they forgot the pecans , but the waffle was still really good ! It's fully w a hint of cinnamon . The customer service was great , too ; the people back there will make sure you leave satisfied . I will definitely be back to try the vegan panini :)

Fresh, healthy smoothies, teas, breakfast, snacks, and paninis. I was greeted unpin entry. I don't come to this ate often. But who I do, I definitely pick up a smoothie or açaí bowl. Interior is a vibe. I love the music and beautiful mural.

I didn't know what to get but the guys at the counter recommended the Largo so I got that - mango and pineapple. I was jot disappointed. It seems as if their smoothies are mostly pineapple based which is very different from other shops. I absolutely love that their smoothies are named after PG County cities. It's nothing like a home grown business. 10/10 would recommend. They were all out of merch when I came so I have to go back.

Spizzy offers a refreshing take on healthy options, with their delicious smoothies stealing the show. I tried "The Forestville" and found it to be both tasty and satisfying. However, the beef patties left something to be desired; they appeared dry and unappetizing. Despite this, the quick service in an empty restaurant was a plus. Overall, Spizzy is worth a visit for their flavorful smoothies, but perhaps pass on the beef patties. Also a BOB so definitely supporting!

I've had a great experience each time I visited. It's cool to be able to pick up local merchandise and see other businesses being supported while waiting for your order. I picked up a t-shirt during my first visit and I like the quality. During one of my visits I was able to meet an owner of Spizzy and she was very friendly. It was nice to hear her suggestions and receive her help picking my next smoothie to try. I also appreciated the notification about their variety of add-ons like tumeric, ginger and spinach if I felt that a smoothie needed a boost. It's nice to know that you have those options. The smoothies are fresh and all-natural with no sugar added which is great because other smoothie shops have a variety of ways of sneaking in sugar by calling it different names or adding additives. I am happy to see another black owned business surviving and thriving during these times. I found out about Spizzy through my church and was drawn in by their commitment to serve good food and good vibes, which they deliver with each visit.

Blown away with the freshness of this smoothie. No additives, no fillers, all fruit! I placed my order online and picked up my drink in less than 10 minutes. All of the drinks are named after cities in Prince George's County, I ordered the Clinton. The customer service is outstanding also. Check them out! #HappyDrinking

This place needs a 5 star. Plain and simple. I've been back here so many times, I can't even count. They're exceptional. Their staff is so kind, and always brightens my day. Food is fresh and made when you get there. I can't get enough of their Patties, could eat them for days! Seriously, stop in here for breakfast or lunch! And get a smoothie while you're at it. Love it!

The banana toast is so good! The upper Marlboro is really good too, I like that it's not super sweet & filled with sugar. The coffee is not over powering either.

I've been meaning to stop by Spizzy for a while now and I finally made it. Upon entry, I was greeting by Zay; I recognized him from an IG post on the company's page. He was so friendly, polite, & helpful. It was my first time & he patiently answered my questions & gave me recommendations. We never exchanged names so he just referred to me as sis. It's the little things that warm my heart in the midst of all that's going on in the world. I decided to try some patties & a smoothie. I had the Oxon Hill smoothie (almond milk, granola, peanut butter, & oats), the kale & callaloo patty, & the lentil & chickpea patty. The smoothie was tasty & delicious. Adding granola was a nice touch. I drank the whole thing before I left the parking lot. Now let's talk about these patties. There aren't those patties you get from the grocery store. Looks at those flaky layers! Both patties were flavorful & well seasoned, & I'd definitely order both again. I must say the chickpea & lentil was my favorite. I love chickpeas so I'm biased. I also ate both patties while sitting in the parking lot. Smh. Anyways, I can't wait to stop by again when the chef is in so I can try a meal.

We entered, admired the artwork around the room and were seated immediately to talk further what we liked about it. We were first greeted by our server Tess, who introduced herself & gave us menus. We searched a little, of course hawk-eyed other tables to see what others ordered... and Tess came back a few minutes later to take our drink orders. We got some waters, iced tea, lavender lemonades, and a mimosa flight for the table... but for a Sunday (what I would expect to be a busy day; a day of POST-prep) we received not 1 but 2 dirty glasses that we had to send back. Additionally, it took us over 20 minutes to get not one the flight but the simple nonalcoholic lavender lemonade to the table and was never told what the delay was about. The owner Tiess (I hope I spelled that right) did walk around with a smile, and to greet the table. All tables, and that is always appreciated and noticed by me. We did express to her our concerns and she did ensure us that we'd be taken care of. Tess grabs our orders and later our food comes out. I have been to Milk & Honey before in Bowie, and I say that because I don't remember their menu being so "busy". The grits and fried green tomatoes as an example of said "busy" items. Overall, the food was okay. Their potatoes were overcooked said 1-party, while as previously stated, another party said their grits and the fried green tomatoes were too busy. Not that it was good or bad, just... busy. Too much going on. I personally had the whiting and it was the star of the meal. My side of (plain ol) grits came out and I appreciated them being plain....they were just cold. So... 3 it is. Last few things : 1. Please note that there is a 1.5hour wait time. 2. There is a dj. 3. There is outside covered seating available, overlooking part of the upcoming surrounding shopping center and parking lot. 4. An 18% gratuity is entered for orders over $150.

It was lunch time and the staff seemed a bit disoriented, however, they were quite pleasant. After browsing the menu and recognizing I wasn't super hungry, I went for the fish nuggets and the jumbo Sambal shrimp. Both were excellent and are must haves! The lamb chops looked amazing but seemed to be a bit overpriced for an appetizer @ $30. I will definitely return when I have more of an appetite because there were so many items on the menu I'm dying to try! Eventually other customers arrived, but there was never more than maybe three or four tables for the duration of our visit. Despite emptiness, the service was pretty slow. It took 40 minutes for our wings to arrive and an hour for the crab dip and entrees. It would've been a shame for our food to take that long to arrive and not be good. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Every dish was on point. The grilled lemon pepper wings are a must have. It's my favorite type of wing and most restaurants served them fried, but grilled is my favorite way to have it. The wings are well seasoned, and the meat comes easily off the bone. The wings are so good you really don't need the dressing, but I'm the type of girl that never passes up a dipping sauce. By the way, it comes with ranch dressing instead of blue cheese. The crab dip was rich and creamy, and topped with big lumps of crab meat. The crispy bread chips were slightly crispy but mostly soft, which I prefer over a harder, crispy bread. The catfish sandwich was perfection. It was fried just right, well seasoned, and an ample portion of catfish. The fish was so large that it completely covered bottom bun. I probably could've cut it in half and made a second sandwich. My mom was kind enough to let me try her salmon pasta; that's what I'll be ordering the next time. That salmon was seasoned on every side and cooked it just right. Everything about this dish was good. I'll definitely give this place another try, I just hope the service is a little quicker next time.

I ordered takeout on a Monday: * Half smoke with sunny side up eggs and French toast for me * Turkey bacon sandwich with home fries for bae * Scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, and home fries for my father The food was ready quickly and affordable--which is rare these days. When my partner walked in with a vanilla wafers box, I was confused... until I opened it and saw everything served on paper plates, wrapped in foil. It gave full-on "you better not mess up grandma's dishes" energy--and I loved it. That first bite of the half smoke brought me straight back to my childhood. It tasted just like the kind my grandpa used to send my mom from Savannah, GA. No frills, no fancy presentation, just real food made with love. The portion sizes weren't oversized, but you get exactly what's described on the menu. If you have a bigger appetite, I'd recommend adding a side. Still, it's a solid, classic breakfast that doesn't break the bank. This is the kind of spot that makes you feel like home--simple, satisfying, and rooted in the community. I'm already plotting my next order.

My sister ordered the shrimp and grits that looked so oily when it came out, we asked Denise if they could make less oily. It was just returned within 2-3 minutes with more oil we just asked for it to be taken back. My sister ended with the chicken and waffles. I honestly will never understand that concept but she liked it. We also ordered the spinach dip and it tasted so bland. We also got the charbroiled oysters,we didn't like the cheese on it. We didn't do the bottomless drinks but for $25 that's not bad at all.

Giselle was our server and we chose the large seafood pizza, with white sauce and thin crust it had lump crab meat on it and grilled shrimp... wood fired pizza came out hot and fresh.. they make their dough fresh daily and it shows.. This pizza was one of the best we've had in a while.. A family run restaurant the staff was super friendly and treated everyone like family.. All their items are made-from-scratch, and the menu seems to rotate occasionally. I love how it is simplified where you choose a $10 or a $15 main, which both options come with 2 sides of your choice, wheat or white toast, and a small canned juice. We ordered: +the Shrimp & Grits - the grits were the best grits I've ever had - they were thick, creamy, cheesy, and seasoned perfectly! I'd probably order this dish again, without the sausage, and opt for more cheesy grits as my 2 sides to load it up! +the Cheesecake Stuffed Peach Cobbler French Toast - this wasn't as overly sweet as I thought it would be, which was great; I think we'd go for the simple French Toast or the pancakes next time, though +Old Bay Maple Breakfast Potatoes - the Old Bay seasoning was subtle, and these large chunks of breakfast potatoes were more on the sweeter end +Scrambled Eggs +Turkey Sausage Link +Turkey Sausage Patty +pineapple and cranberry juice I noticed that the cranberry juice had expired, but it was easy to replace it with another drink of choice. Staff were friendly, but note that depending on the queue, you may wait for some time for your food, as it's all made-to-order; we waited for ours for about 12 minutes or so, and everything came piping hot! The portions are extremely generous and can feed at least 2 people or be split into 2 meals. Note that there are small little ordering cards to place your orders through; hand them to the staff, and they'll give you an estimated wait time. Most seem to get their items to go, as this is a food truck and there is no seating area. I'd be curious to try out any other additions they may add to their menu in the future, but I would definitely come back for those grits! +delicious grits! +friendly staff! +food truck located on Pennsylvania, in front of the shopping center

A must! If you find yourself in SE Washington DC around breakfast/early afternoon Granny's Kitchen…read moreshould be a stop you make! Stopped here for breakfast and everything I had was bomb! First off the price you can't beat for what they call a "plate" you get a main, two sides, piece of toast, and a juice! They have 10$ and 15$ priced plates. I got two of the 15$ plates the salmon cake and the berry stuffed cheesecake French toast with the eggs and the old bay maple potatoes. The old bay maple potatoes!!!! So good! The salmon cake was the best I've ever had! Hearty in size. I also tried the new grits bowl they had on their menu. Grits, fried chicken, eggs, cheese, hash browns, and gravy ..tooo goood! Service was also great and timely had all my food in about 12 mins. The girl in the window was really nice and helpful. I will deff be back here! Highly recommended!
