I rescued a Lab-Pei that was already potty-trained when we brought her home. But my Boston Terrier/Pit mix's skull was so thick, he could get a thought in or out of it. I realized I needed an expert and paid Pat about $1,100 to either do it for me or teach me how to do it myself. He visited the house and the dogs for a couple of hrs. He thought me a lot of things, though I already knew most of what he said. The dogs were responsive to him. After he left, the Boston Pit would not conform to the situations Pat said he should be in for me to enforce Pat's technique's. Pat was available via phone to advise me when things weren't working. When that advice didn't work, Pat started giving me advise that I'd attempted on my own prior to calling him. He told me to spray a sour apple solution in the dogs mouth. The dog should froth at the mouth, have a temporary, nasty reaction then spray it where he pottied. I sprayed the solution in his mouth and he didn't flinch. Pat's answer was to buy the same bottle from another source. It was at that point I realized I just threw away $1,100. Pat knows a lot about dogs and I don't doubt that he can be helpful to other pet owners. He just wasn't able to help me. In my profession, if we give a client advise that doesn't work, we refund whatever they spent to take our advice. I asked Pat to refund $800 and keep $300 for trying. I ended up fighting tooth and nail just to get half of it back. My dog was untrainable. I advise the reader to consider how much they are willing to lose if their dog is untrainable. There are a lot of typos in this review because yelp won't allow me to correct them without deleting everything typed after it. I hope you understand what I meant to say.

My expectations were for her to address my concerns, provide even a small level of empathy and I'd continue using her services. Instead, Nicole provided an unacceptable level of customer service and professionalism as a whole. I was unhappy with my dogs grooming. His eyebrows were cut VERY short! He's a schnauzer so they are KNOWN for their beards and eyebrows. Not to mention all of his legs had the weirdest cut. It was long and somewhat fluffy in the back and short almost completely shaven on the front. I was shocked because in the past he's NEVER been cut this way. His last two grooming appts were done by another groomer at Cradled Pups. I can't remember her name but she cut my dog much better than Nicole ever has. I was actually disappointed when Nicole initially called to reschedule our last appt because the other groomer had a death in the family. However things happen and I completely understood. As another reviewer pointed out, her rescheduling process isn't the best by far. Instead of trying to provide some level of empathy for my concerns, Nicole basically told me she's a groomer not a vet. "You should know your dog is matted". This was her EXCUSE for the HIDEOUS cut she gave my dog. When I asked if she saw she'd have to cut so much of his hair off why didn't she call me before doing it ( I was working out of town when she came), she replied that she actually charges more for matted dogs but she didn't charge me. LOL as if she did me a favor!!! I advised her that's not good business for her. If my dog requires extra time or service you should by all means be PAID and you SHOULD NOTIFY me. All in all Nicole seemed to be having a BAD day when she came out to groom. Apparently, she was pressed for time and became irritated that OUR gate was locked when she was finished. Mind you my niece came out to collect my dog literally within 1 min of her texting me he was done. I know because I was watching the cameras. The camera at the front gate caught all of the FIERY ATTITUDE she had to give. She was LIVID that the gate was locked ( As it ALWAYS IS). She always calls or texts when done for me to collect my dog. That day was no different from any other time she's come out to groom. Here's a tip for you NICOLE...don't own your own business if you aren't prepared to pick up the slack WITH A SMILE! YOU CHOSE this as your profession, things happen...employees quit but business must go on. Also, speaking badly about your employees/ex employees, only makes YOU look EVEN WORSE! Dr. Phillips of Philip's Veterinary Hospital in Brenham recommended that she lose 7 lbs and begin hydrotherapy. Despite having a clean bill of health, she was still favoring her leg and showed a psychological reluctance to put her paw down. Beagles are notoriously stubborn, and rebuilding her confidence to fully use the leg was the bigger challenge. With that guidance and glowing reviews from neighbors, I chose K9 Hydrotherapy with confidence. We were fortunate to move up the waiting list and begin hydrotherapy just two weeks post-op. Through underwater treadmill sessions, swimming, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy, Dipper rebuilt her strength and confidence. K9 made it happen. If your dog or cat has a need for rehab (pre/post surgery, arthritis, obesity, pain management, etc), this is the place to make it happen! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and they really are passionate about what they do. They are also great at educating the pet owner about additional exercises that help after therapy sessions. They have an underwater treadmill, a huge pool and a hydro spa for the animals to enjoy. They also do laser therapy. My dog enjoys the experience so much that there is no awareness that a workout is taking place! :) :) :)
