Stopped in for "the works" carwash, which includes vacuum of interior, exterior wash/wax, cleaning of the door jams, windows inside and out, tire shine. Visible dirt smudges on exterior, the door jams were 1/2 done, if the vacuuming took place, they need to explain the visible sand like particles in the rear hatch floor, on floors in front and back, the build up inside the tire rims. Really disappointing. Per the website, this should have been a 15 minute process from start to finish, no lie-it was more like 5. The positive is that yes, most of the exterior dirt was removed, car looks better but standards have seriously slipped at this place. Not planning on returning anytime soon. read more

I never had an oil change at Splash Wilton, so this review is only for the car wash. On 1/20/26 I stopped at the Wilton, CT location. I asked the attendant for full service wash, tires and inside matts. Once inside to pay, the cashier said the service I am getting is on sale. Unlimited washes for one month. I told the attendant that I didn't live in Wilton and was only visiting a relative. He said it was this months special and you can give your relatives the washes. While I was waiting for my vehicle, an elderly woman came in to complain and cancel her monthly recurring charges that she never asked for. After she was done, I said, I hope I do not have recurring charges and he said you do. I told him that this is not what I asked for and never at any time during our conversation did he mention "recurring" charges. He told me to call 888-697-7527 to cancel and I never signed anything. I only gave him my cell phone number. I told him to cancel the membership, but he didn't. Today, I canceled but I was misled and taken advantage of. My paid receipt says $34.99 but I was charged $63.80. I requesting a refund. I emailed Splash customer service but I haven't heard back. read more

The worst financial management our family has experienced. Never sign up for any promotional deal for one month. They had my card and charged me for several months, and will not give me the proper large refund. I do not think it is in the control of the local team. It is unquestionably the central owner and poor customer service. Go elsewhere. The prices are also very high for largely a machine wash. It is a shame they have a monopoly. No vacuum, no windows, no door jambs, no dash dust. Just wash the crud on the exterior. Granted there was a LOT of crud. But it was WHITE crud. Pretty visible on the dark blue car.) They'll rewash - for free - if you bring it back and point out that they left visible crud on the car and point it out to them. But you get a lecture that you should have paid $100 to have them scrub it a little harder. So they did scrub it a little harder on the second round (a little more elbow grease, not any additional time) and it's very nearly clean, and then there was another lecture that I should have paid $100 to have them scrub it a little harder. They added services I didn't ask for and when I complained, they said the services had already been done. I wish I had read the reviews before I went. The salesman was very pushy and did not listen to what I wanted. He just kept jacking up the price and trying to insist I needed more than what I did. In the end I agreed to a higher price than I was comfortable with and upon further review is a higher price than what is even listed on the website! So I'm not sure who was pocketing my money... Then my car did not come out the front like everyone else's. They called me to the back parking lot where a guy just kept saying look what I did I cleaned this and I cleaned that, obviously trying to fleece me for a tip. It didn't seem like he was going to leave me alone so I finally gave him $5, after already paying so much more than I was comfortable with. Now my car was in the back and there's no way to get out from the back without going through the oil change, the car wash, or a side exit that was blocked. So he told me to drive out the front entrance which is one way for in only. This was my first and last visit! It may be the only car wash in town, but I will drive to another town rather than go back here! Also for the record - it's not like I drive a Lexus or have a designer purse. Went there simply cause i wanted a hand car wash service and it was close to home. I would agree with other reviewers, pushy sales person, trying to sell a package deal and asking me to buy it that day, else it would expire kind of deal LOL. Even after the "complete" hand wash, I still had areas on the car that had not been cleaned and had to explain it to them. I had been eyeing their oil change special prominently advertised on their price sign and thought I would stop in. After waiting about 10 minutes to even be acknowledged by any of their employees, the first thing the fellow tells me is that I need synthetic oil, something which is not specified by the manufacturer, and while certainly an improvement over standard oil, if not required by the manufacturer should not be required by a lube facility as a mechanism to increase the pricing. I decided to take my business elsewhere and visited the Nissan dealer right down the street where I was promptly greeted, my vehicle serviced with the manufacturer specified oil, all for about $25-. I think I saved myself a few bucks and a big headache. These guys might do a good job, but they seem programmed to upsell. I would suggest that everyone be crystal clear on what their vehicle requires and keep in mind the length of time you are planning to keep your vehicle when you make decisions to choose premium products. read more

We live in Wilton and have gone to the Wilton location many times. However, the quality of service and the management are getting worse. The guy who printed my bill outside wasn't clear about the cost of wash and complete detail work. I asked him if the wash was included in the complete detail and he said no. Paid $77 for the wash and express inside detail. After talking to the detail manager I was told that the complete detail (inside and out) for $225 included the wash. But he said that I have to pay $225 for the complete detail and not the difference between $77 and $225 as this was a different transaction. They did a lousy job washing my car. I was told that the general manager "Dan" was on a conference call. I left my name and phone number. I called several times that day and the next day but he was not available. When I was at the register to pay, the cashier suggested I'd get today's wash "free" if I signed up for their "Unlimited Car Wash Club" at $24.99/mo. I signed up and as expected got charged that amount on my credit card. One month later, however, they banged my card for double that amount: $49.99. I called to complain and they said $24.99 was the only the "promotional" price for the 1st month. I was never told this by the cashier, so I called Splash to cancel and get a refund. The agent on the phone said I needed to come back to the store in person to cancel or request a refund, which -- of course -- is total B.S. designed to dissuade and delay cancellations. 1. Is anyone in charge at this place? 2. Many employees/management. are not properly wearing their mask. The vacuuming lady and the big guy who does the oil changes both need mask that fit or mask training. noses constantly popping out. 3. Oil change, "NO WAIT" says the huge sign out front yet it was 1/2 hour after my car was pulled into the bay and finally put up on the lift. The other two cars in the other bay were left unattended for a very long period of time along side of my car. Finally the nose out of mask guy open starts working on my car. He ask if I'm getting a car wash too ( full wash comes with the oil change). He drains oil changes filter and fills it in no time, then with his nose out of mask drives my car around back to the nose out of mask lady who vacuums the cars for full service wash. She disappears as multiple other cars go by for exterior wash. Inside the wash area several of the cleaners are chinstrap maskers, The same wi the the dry off guys outside. 4. It appeared some other oil change customer had some type of issue with what they did with his car. Maybe his issue was the reason three cars sat in the oil change area with no work being done on them for a while. Some guy in a black Splash golf shirt who was walking and talking with the guy who runs the oil change area wore no mask at all. Looked like he may? Have been a manager? 5. I hadn't said a word but the cashier thanked me for being patient. I guess she also knew I was there for a very long time with very little going on. 6. My car gets washed and when it's done one of the dryer guys (also in a black golf shirt ) high pressures me (at close distance with his crappy buff mask that keeps falling) to alert me to the scratches that can be fixed with their five star service. 7. So far I am 2 for 2. This was my second try and it was an equally poor wash. I showed them all of the places they "missed" with their hand wash and all I got was a shrug. For $40 you would think they could at least wipe all of the spots they missed when they were drying the car. You are far better off going to Russell Speeder or Wired or Fred's. Friendly customer service and comfortable place to sit and wait--although I didn't have to wait more than a few minutes. Even happier as had bad experiences at couple other Splashes. Would have been a 5, except they moved the passenger seat up to clean underneath it and didn't move it back. Confess to being a harsh-grader, so don't understand couple bad reviews. Just picked up my car from an interior detailing by Daniel. I am more than impressed (as a car-detailing-virgin). Every dog hair, every grain of sand, every wet nose print on the window, every sesame seed from my messy husband's morning bagel is gone! They were a bit disorganized in the store front and on the phone (disconnected, had to call back because they were busy, lines of customers), but it made it all worthwhile in the end. I can't think of much posive to say about this place other than the indoor waiting area with some tables and chairs. Overpriced, multiple people throughout the "process" pushing additional services. Tried to charge me an unexplained additional $20 fee on my ticket for just a regular wash. They have a guy come in when your car is almost ready to explain to you how dirty your carpets are and how there is a shampoo special today only - I don't need a carwash consultant, I just wanted a hassle free carwash and this place is certainly not offering that. I would have given 2 stars but for a hand wash I expect to roll out of there with no water spots but closer inspection when I got home it looked like I went through the $1.50 self serve wash. I'd also expect at least a tire wipe for $22. They have a separate detailing area which seemed that a lot of people were using but I didn't use that. read more

I would give this place four stars, except for one annoying detail. It defeats the purpose of a "hand wash" when the gentlemen washing the cars do not rinse out the washing mitts between cars. It is not necessarily their fault, as cars are being pushed through so quickly they have no time between cars to take 3 to 5 seconds to rinse out the mitts. This is in full view of the car owners who are staring at them through the glass, scratching their heads, wondering why they're overpaying for a fake hand wash. "Excuse me, you're rubbing the grit from the previous car all over my paint." I've brought this to management's attention more than once, but the issue never goes away. This place is expensive and inconsistent. My story is similar to others. 1 - If you are a "car person", you know that when washing, frequent rinsing of the mitts is critical, so you don't rub grit from one part of the car into the other. Last time I went through , the guy washed some filthy soccer mom suburban, and then went to my car WITH THE SAME MITTS. The guy on the other side did it right and swapped for freshly rinsed ones. Don't they know we are watching? 2 - The oil change guy yesterday had a major attitude problem. I pulled my white Jeep Grand Cherokee to the oil change station, and there was no one there. After wandering around a bit, the woman at the desk finally found someone. They guy blasted into the bay, driving too fast, bouncing over the lifts. Then he lifted the car without doing a good check on where the lift pads were hitting. Took less than 3 minutes. I wonder if he even changed the filter, I will check today. Never said a word to me, other than his nasty comment (see below). 3- Oil change started, and no one has yet asked me which of the many options I wanted. Today I just needed the 19.99 cheap change (FYI, that price does not include the filter, which is why it seems cheap. Total cost is $38. Misleading). So I stuck my head in to tell him. He snottily replies, "well you used synthetic blend last time". I got news for you pal, when I walk into a restaurant I don't eat the same thing every time. "Yes Sir, you got it" would have been the appropriate answer. 4 - The previous time I had them rotate the tires while it was up in the air. They did it wrong. Put tires in the incorrect positions. For a normal car, just go to the wash on Route 7 below the Merritt. $7. Bring you own towel to dry the leftover spots. They are pleasant there. I will say the actual car wash guys at Splash are reasonably friendly, although they usually try to up sell you on something. read more

10-15-15 I am compelled to update my review because once Mark, the CEO, read my review, he contacted me directly via Yelp and apologized for the error. He explained that I should have received the 19.99 pricing as indicated on the flyer. Mark offered a free oil change and a car wash at my convenience to make up for the mistake. So, I took him up on his offer today and I got a complete detailing as well. My car is beautiful! Thanks to the staff for their hard work. I may even splurge for a detailing in the future as it was so nice to drive away in such a spotless car. As usual, the employees were all so friendly, polite, and helpful. And, the owner is concerned about his business. I will continue to come back for services in the future. 10-12-15 I've been coming here for car washes for awhile now. It's expensive and basically hit or miss. Staff is always nice though and I take advantage of the three day return for a rewash. I came today to try the special oil change $19.99 advertised on the flyer, only to be told that my Honda requires synthetic oil and it would cost $69.99! The dealer charges $48.00. Not to mention that nowhere on the flyer does it state that the offer is not for synthetic oil. Naturally I refused the oil change and will go to the dealer. To start my car is kept pretty clean and I try to wash/clean it once a week sometimes once every 2. I needed a quick wash after a softball game. pretty pricey for full service. I paid an extra $5 for them to spray my rubber mats with water and wrongly place them back in the car still wet. They hardly did any vacuuming. There's still dirt in my leather seats and dirt/dust on my seat controls and door sill. Exterior was basic but good. There are water spots on my windshield. Wheels could've been cleaned way better. Hardly took any brake dust off. Never will waste my money there again read more

Shout out to Splash Wilton for doing an amazing job detailing my 2016 Subaru Impreza. The exterior had been infected by artillery fungus in Florida after sitting next to a mulched landscaped area. I had gotten an estimate for paint treatment and detailing that was going to cost north of $800, which I couldn't justify. On a routine car wash visit this past weekend the manager suggested that they could get it out for $110. I just picked the car up and it looks brand new. Wow! Thanks Splash!!! read more

My car has 116k thousand miles and I have to admit I've caused more than a few scratches on it. While not terrible, the inside had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. I just picked up my car and it looks amazing! The scratches are gone from the outside and the shine looks even better than when I purchased it. Inside is also fantastic. I was particularly impressed when I looked and saw even that tiny area inside the door handle was immaculate. I can't recommend these guys enough - I feel like I have a new car! read more
