Been going here for years.. I paid for the top end wash and wax. Wax didn't even come out of the machine. And my windows were so streaky on the inside I noticed driving at night I had to stop and get window cleaner and paper towels at the store to clean them myself..and to top it off my side mirrors weren't even done. This place has slowly gone way down in service in the last three months. Everytime I go even if they are slow it take forever. The guys in the back are under staffed. The people in side washing don't wash the whole car and the people out front drying don't get what the inside guys missed! Windows are always dirty on the outside and side views are spotted.for $25 you should get nice clean job!! read more

Needed a good wash before the holidays . Me & my wife got recommended to splash Wilton . Biggest mistake Ever ! if you care about your car DO NOT come here !!! I tried to let the guy know not to use a brush to scrub my car . he did not speak any English I tried to get his co worker to translate he didn't know English either !!! Does anyone washing the cars at that place know English ?! How can customers communicate when no one knows English ? I politely said it's fine an walked inside . Behind the glass you can watch your car being washed . (You would think these guys would do their best knowing customers are watching their cars ) but NO I watched the short man with a baseball cap and yellow apron wash a dirty car previous to mine and go straight to washing my car with all the dirt and debris on the washing mits from the previous car !!!! I go to the register to complain I was given nothing but attitude from the cashier woman with glasses . I asked to speak to a manager I was told "he's not around at the moment" I go outside to watch the guys dry my car an I see nothing but streaks . Mirrors still dirty . i am going out tonight, so while driving by splash, i figured i would get my car washed. initially the price for a full service wash inside & out was $24 with simonizing, so a few dollars more than average compared to where i live in bethel area, but this was convenient, so i though it would be worth the extra money.... particularly in a town like wilton. the first surprise was seeing they charged $7 to merely rinse the rubberized floor mats for my jeep grand cherokee- yes, in my opinion this is absurdly expensive and would be the same price for those who have just the pair for the front or for like my jeep front & back seats plus for the cargo area. my total bill was $31+ tax... when done the the multiple hand washers, who do have a tough job, managed to miss numerous spots around the entire vehicle, especially on the lower parts around bumpers and wheel wells. they missed a large greasy smear on left front wheel well and crap all under the rear bumper.... the $7 rubber mat rinse mentioned above got me standing water in the rubber front seat mats that appear to have been thrown in the car with no effort whatsoever to replace them over anchors to keep them in place [i.e. like the way they were when i drove up]... the same for the 2nd row seats and the water in the rear mat is ridiculous. surprisingly, they made no effort to wipe off some dirty paw prints on the rear seats from my friend's dog that was in my jeep the night before.... so for $31+ to have my grand cherokee washed was a small price to pay to know i will not be returning to this establishment. the work is half a$$ed at best, especially in the context that at least 6 different workers touched my jeep and all made mistakes- it seems management needs to get on the ball. read more

I went into this car wash yesterday to get an oil change and car wash. When they completed the wash I got in my car and immediately noticed sand was still all over the carpets, and I shook it out right in front of all the workers. I wasn't going to complain, but as I drove away I looked at my back window and there was still bird poop on it. At this point I realized they didn't even clean my car and were trying to scam me. I took my car back and watched them vacuum and wash it. The car still wasn't fully clean, but at that point I just wanted to leave. I won't be visiting this establishment ever again, and it's always been my go to car wash. I can't even imagine the poor oil change job they did, and I will be getting that redone at an actual mechanic. read more

For the money, a poor wash. Hadn't been there in quite a while, so maybe it was an "off" day, but wheels had not been wiped down, chrome strip along the rocker panel was not cleaned, missed a large spot on the hood and the entire area around the rear deck hatch was completely ignored. An extra $7 for "mat service" was a complete waste... a regular vacuum would have more than sufficed. All in the $43 wash (deluxe with mats) was worth maybe $15. Brought our car in yesterday for a wash which was probably the first mistake since it was very crowded. I paid for "The Works" and also paid to have my mats washed. $36 later I can honestly say that I was stunned at the poor result. The back of the car (Buick Enclave) was very dirty, the sides of the car streaked with dirt and the "hot wax" clearly wasn't worth the price. I had my wife and kids with me (we were returning from a basketball game) and with so many cars lined up all over the place at that point I had to laugh and just pull away. I have NEVER felt compelled to post a negative review about any service but this was ridiculous. read more

I'm a Russell-Speeder's under $10 DIY kind of gal, but I just didn't have it in me the other day. There were peach slices smooshed on my mats, a zillion crumbs from bumper to bumper (even though I vacuum my car every weekend!) and mysterious smears on every door jam. I was driving by Splash and something inside me screamed "Treat yo self!". So I did. I got the basic wash (The Works?) and the Super Interior. I feel like the Super Interior should include an exterior wash, but whatever. Needed to be done. Do I love that there's a full blown gift shop inside? Not with two little girls in tow! But this location has a super fun interactive game projector on the floor that kept them entertained (aka distracted). 25 minutes and $62 (car wash and gummy bears) later, I walked out to my brand new car. Seriously, it was that clean. Mats were spotless, dash and doors were spotless, seats were spotless and it smelled like a showroom. I should note that there were only about five other cars being washed/detailed/worked on while I was there, so I probably got better attention than other reviewers. I definitely hit a Saturday morning sweet spot - hallelujah! If it weren't for the two car seats in the back and the Frozen soundtrack blasting from my speakers (yes, still - ugh) someone checking out my car afterwards probably wouldn't even know that I drive around two messy little monsters hell bent on destroying my interior - one shredded napkin and greasy handprint at a time. read more

First time I had oil change yesterday here for my CRV, had a coupon specifically said oil change with car wash for $19 ( revived thru mail). After oil change she said no washing included for this coupon though it mentioned. I am not going to go here again and won't recommend. read more

They really can improve their rating if they just did a better job on the interior. It would only take a few minutes more per car. They certainly have enough people working there to do the interior better, but they just don't seem to care enough. read more

I went in for a quick wash at 10:30; I had an 11:00 meeting to get to. I asked for the $20 wash and he said I really needed the $34 wash. I asked how long it would take and he said 15-20 minutes, so I said ok. Then I go inside and they ring me up for $65!!! I said, what, I was getting the $34 one, and he said that's ON TOP OF the other but it still didn't add up, so he "gave me $10 off". It also took 45 minutes which made me very late for my meeting. I used the Greenwich location from 1983 through 2001 when I lived and working in that area. I was a neighbor and friend of Frank Murphy who worked at that site for many years. I have retried Splash in Wilton and have been very happy with the results. Part of the change may be due to the fact I noticed there are more women doing the basic after-washing drying, windows, inside cleaning, etc. and they seem to pay a little closer attention to details on the quick than the guys. The guys are much better if you need a full on detailed service or handwaxing on the outside. I also notice they replenish the towels more often, so use clean towels. Good changes have been made, so I now go once a week! read more

No business is perfect all the time so it matters what they do when they don't get it completely right. As a long time Wilton Splash customer (of three cars), I was consistently satisfied with their quality of service up to and including their detailing service...until yesterday. The manager; Dan and his detailer; Daniel went above and beyond to correct the situation turning a 1 star review into this 5 star review. The car wash is crazy expensive. But the oil changes are cheap and convent. Too bad they overfilled my oil and didn't tighten the oil filter.m. I gave them a second shot and they stripped the drain plug and replaced it with one that did t seal properly. I will not give them a third shot. read more

This place is a joke. They are so over priced and they under perform. For the money you spend on a car wash here, I don't think it is unreasonable to expect them to take the dirt off your car. I have a brand new, white car. It went throught the hand wash, came out to dry and I was told it was done. I walked over and no one had cleaned the bottom of the doors or the back bumper. They both were still covered in dirt! The kid drying the car came back with a spray and cleaned off the dirt. Then I got in the car. The mats were still dirty. Not a little dirt, but like they weren't even vacuumed. I complained and was told to drive around and they would re vacuum the car. The guy with the vacuum went in the car and said, ok, you are all set. Except it was still covered in dirt! He didn't even move the mat. So I took the hose and vacuumed it myself. At the end, I wasn't sure my car was washed. They do it so fast, they can't possibly do a good job. Paid extra $5.00 to have my mats washed. I think they just hosed them down. They were still dirty. Vacuum? There was a candy wrapper on the floor of the car when I went to take it home. Then they tell me there is alot of tree sap on the car. Isn't that part of cleaning the car?? Seriously? They need a quality control manager that INSPECTS to see that a good and thorough job was done. Will not go back. read more

I came in to get my car washed & there was a sign that said 2 cars $49.00 per month & wash as many times as you like. I tried to sign up & was told the promotion is over, even though the sign was right in front of my car. I called the manager to pursue the issue & he argued with me that the sign wasn't there. I told him I would never frequent his establishment & post a review about this, that is when said he would honor the promotion. I've been to Splash Wilton a number of times. The wash is great and they did a great job on my floor mats. I'd give them a 4 star rating for the wash! However, I would definitely not take our cars back for oil changes, hence the one star. The plastic heat shields on both of our vehicles began hanging off the bottom of our cars shortly after their oil changes. Didn't take us long to figure out they were being taken off and reattached incorrectly. Both cars had to go to the dealerships to get fixed which cost more money. read more

Quick and shoddy service. Paid $40 for full interior and mats. The mats were puddled with water. The exterior of the car has lots of dirt on it - simple dirt you can wipe off. Pretty much what I have come to expect from this place. read more

They always do a top notch job. If something isn't right they do it again. This is the type of service that I expect when I go to a hand wash expert. I've taken my car a few times for an oil change and I find the service is always pretty good. The waiting room is comfortable (you can even do some light shopping in the gift shop!) and I never had to wait too long. The oil change always comes with a free car wash too- awesome! read more

I have had my cars detailed here several times. I just picked up my car today from detailing at Splash Wilton. As usual they took a large car in horrible shape and made it sparkle again. It is truly beautifully clean inside and out. I appreciate that but what I appreciate more is that the guys that do the work do it with such pride. I left my car for 3 hours and upon arriving the employee had such a big, proud smile that it warmed my heart. How refreshing to see people who do their best and are happy about it. The Wilton location is by far the best one I've been to, and I think the best car wash in CT. Coming from California, it was hard to find a car wash that was worth the money; Splash is! I've gotten my car detailed there every 6 months for 3 years, and 4 other cars done periodically, and they always do a super job. Hard to feel a detail is worth $195, but theirs is! Won't go anywhere else if I can help it, keep up the good work guys and gals! read more
