Had a blast here at Splash! We came with a group of girls for the homegirls birthday. Heard it was drag night on a Thursday! I think we came too early or idk cus there was barely anybody in there or on the dance floor. We got some drinks and the bartenders is friendly. Even the staff.. they helped take our picture where the backdrop was. There's a good amount of seating. The layout is nice. Just seats around the dance floor and bar next to the dance floor. The bathrooms is down the hall when u enter.. we didn't get to see the drag show cus we left too early and went to another spot but I did get to see one and she is HER. I love drag!! She smiled and waved hi to me :) Dj was awesome. My friend knew the dj so she had them give a shoutout to the hg on the screen. That was cool! Did get to dance a little on the dance floor. Last night I visited Splash to meet a friend. When she saw me she ran over and jumped into my arms and (weak old me) couldn't hold her up so we fell onto the dance floor. Security asked us to leave (which was no problem, 100% understood). This review is just to say the two security guys there were incredibly respectful, nice, and made it seem like they didn't want to throw us out but y'know, they just had to. They never raised their voices or seemed threatening at all. It's exactly how you want to be treated by staff at any club or venue. I'm certain if my friend and I escalated, they would have in kind, but that didn't happen. Even better, those same two gentlemen had just ejected a few other people one by one, so you'd think they might be tired of that and frustrated, but they treated this as if it were their first encounter of the evening. Incredibly impressed and pleased with the staff at Splash. I'm sure they deal with a crap-ton of issues on any given weekend, but they set a standard and stuck with it. Appreciated. I went here with a girlfriend and we were trying to find a seat in the house, it seemed no one wanted to allow to sit with them at first then some drag queens introduced themselves and invited us to sit with them, they were so nice and hugged us both to make us feel comfortable and welcome. I came on a random Tuesday and the place was packed. It felt like a Friday, honestly! Although the bar is a nice place it is an interesting gay bar... The DJ played nothing but EDM although It's cool, it may get annoying. People didn't really dance the first 2 hours I was there because the DJ didn't play anything else. I was hoping we would take the clue when no one would dance but he didn't. One of the other interesting things was the bathrooms, the stalls were open throughout the entire night. A few girlfriends of mine joined me for a game of pool and the male bathroom was open for everyone to see. Couldn't really enjoy the fame with the constant bathroom conversations and the smell of urine coning out. I did have a few drinks (courtesy of my bf) which were pretty strong. Experienced Splash on a Thursday. It was a random meetup with friends. Those are the best times you'll have- when it's unplanned! It's nice layout with 2 bars inside and decent sized patio. The dance floor is definitely on the small side. The bartenders are super nice- drinks are balanced and well made. Really good drink specials and happy hour is offered during the week. To my surprise, there was a pool table room and it's only $1 per game. Very cheap! Every Thursday is 90's and 2000's theme. I grew up with all that music so I was humming and dancing to all the songs. Then there was a random drag show around 10pm. It was quite entertaining. I would love to come back but please note Splash has a ton of hype right now coupled with long lines to get in. I would suggest coming early to snag a table. read more

On Sep 12 Wednesday i visited this bar. Because i like the bar and have been going there for more than 3 years almost twice every other week. I was enjoying there and suddenly a girl just point her finger toward people where I was standing and then suddenly there was a security guard came. He didn't investigate and didn't ask anything and didn't even confirmed from that lady. He just came and dragged me out of the club. Accused me for harassment without any investigation or a proof. I really felt he just racially profiled me because I was the only brown guy in that group of people where that lady pointed. I tried to ask him the reason but he just didn't mentioned anything.i even tried to get him at least ask that lady and confirm it but he just refused. I really felt insulted because they ported me a harassing guy. I've been going to that club for almost 3 years and never once did anything like that. Never fought, never got too drunk, and never had any problem like that. That security guard has some personal problem with be from before because we had an argument once where I've told him there are some staff members including him treat people differently by their looks. My people before told me they have felt discrimination and racism there. There are lots of reviews and comments regarding same issue. I tried to make a video but 3 more security guard came and started using laser light on the camera so I can't have them on the video. And there was a security guard who threatened to punch me after he was walking when got off from the job. I'm uploading pictures of the security guards. And one white guy who threatened me on the road after he got off from the job. I want an answer for the insult and discrimination I've faced at front of many people. Some of the people I know personally and have business relations with them. The way they make me look like a guy who harass girls damages my reputation as well as reputation of my family business. God knows what the people there who saw that are going to say to other people I know or about my family business. That's why I want the investigation and a complete answer why they immediately assumed it was me whom that lady was accusing of harassment. And why they didn't investigate weather the lady was saying truth OR tried to know who the actual person was whom that lady was pointing if the accusations were right. I'm rewriting my review because I visited again for an afternoon event (7/24), and the place was a TOTALLY DIFFERENT experience! Like last time, the bartender was really lovely. However, this time -- * It was clean (the bar and the bathroom) * I saw ZERO people obviously snorting drugs * I saw no falling-down-drunk women (or men) * No women in the men's bathroom * I was able to easily chat to folks because the music was an appropriate level * There were more obvious LGBTQ+ people there than straight people I actually had a really nice time and would be happy to go back for another afternoon event any time! My first visit was a disaster and left me really dubious about going a second time, but I am glad I did. Unfortunately, I cannot forget my first visit all together, so, I'll stick to visiting this bar only when invited by specific social events I want to attend. I was waiting for my boyfriend outside of the restrooms and the security guard started man handling me out of the club. I asked why I was being escorted out and was not answered. I called my boyfriend and he met me outside the club and they refused to let me in. I explained to the bouncer I was confused why I was escorted out and did not get any answer. I felt very disappointed with the situation especially considering that I had a single drink and no explanation as to why I was being pushed out of the club. Drinks are strong, worth the coin. The dance floor is a little small but it accommodated the small crowd just fine. My date and I hit the patio and enjoyed our time. Same music inside and out, will be back. They also have events so I'll be back to check that out. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Since the venue was taken over as Splash, I have never felt comfortable. It has never felt like a safe space to be in. It appears to have more predatory drunken straight clientele and the club caters to them. The only reason I continued to attend was because of the goth night they had once a month. Those nights brought the queer and goth community together. People you would not see on a regular night because these once a month events provided something special. If you weren't aware, the goth and queer community pretty much go hand in hand. Goth nights have been happening in queer spaces from the get go. Disappointingly, the February goth night that had been scheduled and planned for in advance, was canceled. Just hours before it was supposed to occur. A scheduled dj who drove from Los Angeles, received the news AFTER he arrived in town. Performers had to be notified. Other patrons were coming in from out of town. The sheer lack of professionalism and disrepect shown to those involved in the planning, promoting, the djs and the patrons speaks VOLUMES! Canceled because they thought they could make more money having a basic regular night playing the same tired music. While I'm at it, security as well have sus vibes about them and carry themselves with a holier than thou attitude. While walking into the women's restroom with a friend who needed to go, male security followed us all the way into the restroom without announcing himself to alert the ones who were in the stalls. Told me I had to wait outside because people do drugs in there. Huh? Ok...Other security staff would stare to attempt to intimidate patrons on the patio having a conversation as well as those inside watching people on the dance floor. I've been attending queer clubs for 29 years and have always felt comfortable and safe in those spaces...until Splash. It's really sad to see they don't support the community that supported them. Even more sad that the Fresno queer and goth community do not matter to this establishment. Especially in a time where the queer community desperately need safe spaces. read more

Went for my sister and I's after bday celebration. Was in line at the beginning with my friend (30yo mexican man) and they tell him he can't wear his giants hat. I point to a white guy at the bar with a sports hat on and they don't care. My friend is used to this and is nice and says he can put it on our bus. We are tired and just sit at the booth by the door the entire night and hang out. The whole time a bouncer is posted close to use and watches our table. I buy my younger sister and her friend's drinks and my friend, I and two older people in our group just hang by the booth at the door. We probably have 2/3 drinks over 2 hours. Last call comes and everyone is heading home finishing drinks. My friend gets up to takes our empty glasses to the bar and the bouncer tells him he has to leave because he's drunk. I look around at the passed out girls leaning over the bar and laying in the booths. I tell the bouncer we're waiting for our bus to get back and ask why he's not kicking out anyone else? He says he's sorry and that someone else who works there wants my friend out. Was the most obvious racial thing ever. I've had friends who work there over the years and have told me owners and some Staff do this kind of thing all the time. Honestly not surprised coming to my home town and seeing this but I didn't expect it at a gay bar. read more

This place is super cool!! I had so much fun with my friends and the way the club's building is laid out is perfect! When you come in, you will see a bar right away. To your right they have the patio. The patio has another bar outside along with several tables and TVs. Back inside, going towards the back, you will find the dance floor! This dance floor gave me 70's meets the 2000's vibes. There's TVs showing music videos as well, tables to sit, and another bar!!!! Next to that bar, if you make a left, you will find a billar/pool table! Chairs and a big mirror perfect for selfies. This place has fun spots all around! And the cover is only $10. Drinks are average price too, ranging from $15-$20 dollars. I look forward to Splash asking for vaccination proof!!! Starting August 6th. Kudos to keeping Fresno safe. read more

There was no need for your security guard to throw someone's hat in the trash rather than handing it back. The security guard also escalated a situation over a water bottle. This is one of my favorite gay bars in Fresno. I love that they have 3 different areas with completely different ambiances. The outside patio crew is more to my liking since I like having a drink and talking to others, buuuut if you're more of a dancer, my gawd you'll love the dance floor! The bartender pour good drinks, too. You'll get your bang for your buck. Also, if you want to be near the music but enjoy a little game, they have a pool table and a bunch of board games!
