This was an Anniversary dinner and we have wanted to try this restaurant. It was definitely an experience! We knew that it would be costly but can still be a surprise when the bill arrives, watch out for the drinks We only ordered what we had seen reviewed and listened to our servers recommendations. There are a few things we plan to go back and try though. Based on his recommendation we tried the scallop temaki and it was delicious but we still really want to try the scallop spoons. Everyone talked about the sushi so we tried the house Iza Sake roll, it was good but honestly didn't blow us away. So many reviews told us to splurge on the Wagu A-5 hot rock lettuce wraps. It was fun to have them cooked in front of us and the meat was buttery, I would say to save your money. Let them cook your fried rice in front of you for the ambiance and you get more for less money. It also has Wagu beef. We also tried the bone marrow and we liked it but I do believe it's an acquired taste. We had two mixed drinks the Hibiscus Shoga, very good, but a bit too sweet. Then the Kohahu Carmel Old Fashioned which was a recommendation and we love old fashions. This was good but way too sweet for us. I do recommend the Kurosawa Nigori. We plan to return to try the spoons and seafood risotto and maybe the lobster temaki. Also recommend going earlier than later. We had an 8pm reservation and the grill was cleaned at 9pm so it was a surprise to have the kitchen closed so early.

I want to start this off by saying the service was amazing! Came in for a Saturday lunch and it wasn't too busy. Our server checked in on us right away, suggested great dishes, and even gave us a dessert on the house for our anniversary. The martini was pretty strong, and I liked that it came with a shot of sake. The bone marrow was good, but the salmon spoon really took the show. I think I set my expectations too high for the entrees we got--the sea bass with risotto and uni pasta. They were still tasty, just didn't give that wow factor. Because this is on the pricier side, it's a good place for special occasions, though it's casual enough for just a really good meal.

The freshest fish in town, there's no competition. Lin's restaurant group really hit this one out of the park, showcasing their appeal towards fine dining. I took my mom here for mother's day/her birthday and had the best time! Our saturday lunch reservation was everything we hoped it to be. The restaurant ambiance was beautiful and peaceful, it's so elegant you'd forget this was a world sports cafe 20 years ago. Spicy tuna, rainbow roll, shrimp, there's something for everyone. Order everything. Leave no crumb uneaten. I can't wait to go back for another special occasion!

Can't get enough! Returned this time to try some new bites. Sat on the patio for the first time. Nice and not too loud. Waiter was sweet and took his time explaining menu items and his recommendations. Temaki's were pricey and would pass on some but was nice to try. Harrell platter a must and bone marrow app was amazing. Cocktail 10/10. We love Oiza!

The ultimate date and special occasion spot. Always love the vibes when I walk in. I've been there 4x already (3x for dinner, 1x for lunch), and they never disappoint. The servers start off by pouring water over washcloths to wipe your hands when you get seated. The wagyu sando for lunch was just fine. I'd probably get their sushi obento for variety next time for lunch. For dinner, their Duo Delight is so worth it, which is their chef's choice sushi dinner for 2. Definitely a perfect amount of food with beautiful presentation. Their Kagawa Maki roll was tasty also. The Uni Udon Pasta was good if you want something a bit heavier. Think they were going for an uni carbonara type deal. I think it made its way back to the dinner menu after seeing it only on the lunch menu for some time. If you want to go all out for drinks, the Gyokuru Martini, which is essentially like a matcha martini is sooo yum. The Momo Spritz is also tasty, as well as their sours. Will always be willing to return for a special time or when I just want to treat myself!

Best Sushi restaurant I've tried in the Fresno Area. The decor and ambiance make the space feel spacious yet private at the same time. Visited with a group of friends and ordered several items to try. Everything was very good. The only downside was that they had limited drink options and didn't have a full bar. We had reservations so we were seated promptly.

Incredible experience! We won a gift card to Oiza and had reservations for 2 for me and my wife. We showed up early and were immediately sat. Our server was so kind and patient with us while we figured out what we wanted. we had peach sake and pear sake and they were so good, I had the old fashioned as well it was incredible so sweet with caramel flavor! The table near us were eating things we ourselves were interested in trying and they encouraged us to order it. The vibes were incredible!

Everything about this place was a 10/10 It's a higher end sushi restaurant and you can immediately tell by the ambience and presentation. Bone marrow and sushi were phenomenal. I try to be reserve with my 5 star ratings, but I have zero complaints. It is on the pricier side but totally worth it

This was my first time eating here with friends, we had a reservation and were welcomed instantly! It was pretty busy but you know that means the food would be good. It was a beautiful restaurant, and I really appreciated the warm hand towels. They have a big menu, and I was a little confused on what each thing was but thankfully I looked up pictures on their Instagram and we were able to figure out what each item was or get a general idea. The wait staff were helpful and the drinks were great. I ordered a sushi roll and a temaki. I decided to try the fatty tuna with the sea urchin and caviar. It was pretty good! I throughly enjoyed my food, the presentation was great and I will definitely be back to try some of their different items. The bone marrow and table side fried rice definitely caught my eye!

Food: Love the sushi at O-iza. And they have good portions without making you feel bloated. Every time we come here the food is always delicious and we never leave disappointed. Service: the staff are always attentive here and they are very nice. Ambience: very clean and quiet for the perfect date.

Our experience at O-iza just blew me away! We went for my birthday and it is a great place to celebrate a special occasion. Our server did forget the birthday parfait, which was a bit disappointing, but we really enjoyed the food!! We sat on the patio and were quite cold even with the fire heaters. It seems like you have to get lucky with the seating and the proximity to the heaters. For appetizers, we ordered the salmon spoons and DIY handroll set. The salmon spoons were crab wrapped in salmon and were very fun to eat. We also enjoyed the DIY handroll set, especially the salmon and tuna portion. The only downside was that it only came with 3 pieces of nori, which we thought wasn't enough. For our entrees, we ordered the uni carbonara, Kagawa Maki roll and the chirashi bowl. We did not love the uni carbonara and the thought it was lacking in flavor. The chirashi bowl on the other hand was phenomenal, with fresh cuts of fish upon a bed of fluffy rice. The Kagawa Maki roll was also delicious and had a great smoky flavor. We also ordered a yuzu margarita- it was refreshing and shaken very well. Looking forward to our next visit!

My husband has never gone here and so we decided to go as a family for dinner. So glad it was not a busy day, with no reservation we did a walk-in and was able to be seated in 5 mins. Because we were a walk-in we were told that we were limited to dine for an hour and 30 mins which is more than enough time. Thanks Leo for accommodating. We were seated and served water right away by Mindee and she was super sweet, I really think she has exceptional customer service. Kelly was our server and was pretty efficient and quick. The order: we got the Wagyu fried rice, which was absolutely delicious. It's buttery, has that charred flavor from the hot pot, great flavor. I think anyone who orders this dish will love it. I got the chirashi which I have had before and of course it was super good. The sushi rice below it was well prepared with some furikake flakes. The sashimi were thick pieces and very fresh. My husband wanted something refreshing and Kelly recommended the snow crab salad and it was perfect. The dressing was nice, sweet and citrus. Will definitely order this again. The ambiance is slightly dimmed and noise is moderated. Overall experience was super pleasant. We got in quick, had great customer service, and delicious food. I also appreciate the oral hygiene products offered in the restroom for their customers.

Let me start by saying I have been to the point many times before and it has been meh I guess okay…read more Patio is nice and spacious and bar has a nice setup, tap can be better in selection. Food is really good, a little pricey but good. The last 3 Fridays our company have been reserving the outdoor tables and we have to say, our interaction with our favorite waitress ms Sarah has made a big different on how we spend our Fridays now. Not only is she very attentive to our needy group, we love her spunky personality, and appreciate her taking the time to making sure all allergy is top priority (myself nuts, shellfish and dairy). We appreciate happy hour specials and never once prior we had a waitress go through the menu mentioning specials until God sent Ms Sarah. I personally love the seasonal cocktail menu and always excited to try them. What really stood out the most in the last visit being just my husband and our 2 little ones are the little things Ms Sarah does like bringing out stickers for my girls and closed container drinks. Having the crust cut off the grilled cheese for my baby girl and bringing out a surprise birthday sundae for my oldest daughter. Ending the night with my favorite buttercake pudding. The girls went on and on about ms Sarah and how they like her so much and love her beautiful nails. Sunday, i came by for a quick bite with one of my girlfriends, I had an incident where I had order pad Thai and when it arrived to my table, ms Sarah walked up to say hello, she was not our waitress that evening and said "Aren't you allergic to nuts?! Why yes! Yes I am! I don't want to get anyone in trouble for negligence but yes I am deadly allergic to peanuts and the pad Thai is full of peanut sauce. Talk about A CLOSE ONE! My girlfriend and I switch dinner. Long story short, it takes simply less than 10 seconds to ask about an allergy nd like I said, god sent Ms Sarah to the rescue! Beside the close call to heaven, Thank you The point for making your restaurant so special to not only for my business but a happy place for my family. Mostly, I wanted to make this review for ma Sarah for being so good to me and helping me venture out trying new food items and cocktails that I would never myself have tried.

Based on the atmosphere alone, this place is amazing. I absolutely love the vibe and setup of this restaurant/ bar. The staff is welcoming , and there are plenty of drink options available. Unfortunately, that is where the fun stops. The menu is too basic for a nice place like this. You will find standard bar options like burgers, sandwiches, and so on. However, places like Yard House do it better. The Point Patio is too nice to have food this boring. For a starter, I opted for the bruschetta which was just ok. I did appreciate the little kick of spice in their version. For dinner, I opted for the short rib tacos and they were pretty sad. Think street tacos with shredded meat , cabbage and salsa. Meh. These little tacos were served with a handful of tortilla chips and salsa. Thank goodness we got a side of sweet potato fries to supplement our meal. The fries saved the day because that aioli sauce was great! I am disappointed. When I walked in , I thought this was going to be a dining experience. Instead , i was wondering if there are any restaurants in Fresno that combine this type of environment -with food that actually tastes good.

Yes it's soup but beyond that the experience in the presentation is completely different. It was a little quieter and more laid-back it felt a little bit more upper class. I feel like I would have to come here two or three times to fully find what my favorite things are. I tried the spicy miso broth. But if I come back, I'll get something different and I'll probably have to try a few before I end up finding my exact favorite. The experience here was more about timing and what you're cooking instead of making a soup with everything in it and then eating it. I would have to say that everything that I had was good. Not really big on tofu and their money bags tasted OK a little bit sweet in the end. The corn was really sweet to me. I like both of the mushroom types that they had their my wife only liked one of the two. My broth came out amazing. I added cilantro, green onion, and their hoisin sauce along with some lime. We also got Ramen noodle. It didn't seem like it was gonna be a lot of food. I felt like we were gonna be hungry by the time we got done eating everything. But it turned out in the end we were both full and not needing anymore. I would say this is a little bit more expensive than JPot. But I think this would be a nicer place to bring a date to overall experiences and presentation is better. I would say the service here was really good. We were well taken care of. I always say that you should make reservations if you're gonna come. We walked in when it didn't look like it was full or busy, but we still had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. At least there's a little bit to walk around and do around here so you have other shops and places to see if you have to wait. Overall, I would give this a five star review. But my honest opinion is I would rather eat at JPot. But I might only be saying that because I have my favorites over there and I didn't leave here creating a favorite in my mind. I left here thinking next time I come back. I'm gonna try different stuff. Again everything is good

For the amount you're paying, I personally don't think the taste quite matches the price point. I'm glad I tried it and the overall experience was nice, but would I return? Most likely not. Upon arrival, there is maybe two couples in the restaurant, one in the dining room, and one sitting in their gorgeous outdoor patio. The entire restaurant was decked out in oak and woody earth tones with tasteful shapes, mirrors, and outlined with plants. An absolute vibe for these two girls with earth signs. We were met by one single staff member who ushered us to take a seat anywhere of our choosing (it was relatively empty so the reservation wasn't even acknowledged, which we didn't mind. I do not recall his name however he provided us with excellent service. (Wednesday the 15th @ 7:30) Now for drinks, my bestie ordered a strawberry margarita and I had ordered a menu drink that were both poured heavily and tasted phenomenal. We did not feel the need to order any additional glass or it may have turned into a party for two! My girlie and I are oyster people. We are also savory folk. We ordered a half dozen oysters and focaccia bread. To our extreme delight the appetizers were delicious and filling. However, we're on Yelp for a reason. FOOD, FOOD, FOOD. We're best friends for a reason, the steak sandwich caught our attention. It was dressed deliciously and paired with fries reminiscent of those from In N Out, and depending on who you ask that is a WIN! Overall we split the bill and felt it was better than expected to how grand our meal was. I wish I grabbed our servers name, he was a sweet gentleman that waited on two girls who could eat a cow and ask for dessert Definitely a space worth mentioning to out of town friends.

I could not have asked for a better server to make this event amazing. She was very attentive to every guest as it was an open house from 12pm-3pm and people rotated in and out during the entire time. She kept our food table stocked and drinks full. She was very busy. But the real kicker was at the end of the day, I found out that the restaurant was short staffed and she was also providing the same attention to inside tables as well. I never even knew! The food was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and there were so many options that I already know I need to come back and try more. I especially loved that the menu feels elevated without losing the authentic Thai flavors you're looking for. The cocktails were also a fun addition to the experience. Great food, beautiful ambiance, and friendly service. Definitely a Fresno spot worth checking out if you love Thai food or are looking for somewhere new for dinner. I'll absolutely be back!

Rating doesn't change-- they're still amazing from my experience last year. Why it took a whole…read moreyear to come back? Idk. *shrugs* This time we got: Pad Kra Pao, Pad Se-Ew (beef), Yellow Curry (chicken), and Thai Style Papaya Salad for dinner. We each had a different favorite dish out of the three entrees... Pad Se-Ew was mine (noodle head), followed by the Pad Kra Pao (perfect flavor, not too strong on the basil, egg fried just right), then the curry last (I prefer green or red more). The salad was good, refreshing. No spice whatsoever, but we knew that (one of the girls can't handle as much spice). The winner of our dinner? The Thai Tea Flight! I love the option of flights anywhere I go. It gives you the chance to try all the flavors you're curious about without committing to one that you may or may not like. Man... these were amazing. If I had to rank the flavors-- it was a toss-up between the Original Thai Tea and the Ube but since this is the battle of the Thai Teas... the OG gets a slight edge. Both freaking amazing though (we ordered full sizes of these after). Obviously Thai Iced Coffee comes next but coffee should be it's own category. It wins on its own as coffee. The Green Thai Tea came in last for all 3 of us, I believe. It's good, just not as good as the other three... and it's definitely more fragrant? Idk the right word for it. Anyway, I'd make more stops here just for these drinks alone now that i know how good they are. Staff was amazing. Friendly. Attentive. Restaurant still very aesthetic. Their plating of the meals? A+. It was a very good dinner.
