This is a beautiful restaurant with high ceilings and warm, low lighting that feels very inviting. My initial impression was that it's a happy, lively place, even on a weekday the bar area was crowded and conversations were loud. The waitress was quick to take my order and extremely friendly, which I appreciated. This is not the place for a quiet, romantic date: the tables are very close together, and I could clearly hear everything the guests next to me were saying. I ordered a cocktail and a filet mignon with a side of risotto. Because the bar was busy, my cocktail didn't arrive until after my food. The filet, ordered rare, was unfortunately dry and disappointing; the risotto, however, was well-prepared and tasty. Overall, great atmosphere and attentive service, decent side dish, but not ideal for an intimate evening and the main course I had fell short. I have been here on occasion but do not come very often. My mother wanted to eat here for her birthday. We were a party of eight and just heads up for reservations of eight people or more you will have to provide your credit card information and if you failed to show up or cancel last minute, you'll be charged $50 per person in the party. The booths are very roomy, and we all fit comfortably. All of the cocktails were deliciously made, and well balanced. As far as food, there are no complaints from any of us. Came here for my sisters birthday. The kiwi coconut drink was yummy and not strong taste wise which I liked. My sister on the other hand wasn't expecting so much ginger in her mocktail so she couldn't finish it was spicy lol. Food was good I just wish the potatoes were warmer but it was on a busy Saturday. Not great. Service was great, our waters were constantly filled by our server without asking. Food took a very long time to come out, even the server had to come by and apologize to us about the wait time. After about 30-45 mins, the food was impressive. I came here on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday with a reservation. But apparently they messed up the reservation and thought it was under someone else? We had it for 5pm but we didn't get seated till 5:30-5:45pm. The restaurant was nice with a little fire pit in the waiting area. We had a group of 7 people and our server Zach was very nice. He took our orders right away. The drinks and appetizers came out first. However, it took a very long time for us to get our entrees. Even our server had to come to our table to apologize for the delay. I understand it was busy but we sat there for a long time. We didn't leave till 7-7:30pm. This place is definitely becoming a favorite of mine. I've made it a point to try something new every time I visit, and this time I ordered the spicy seafood pasta 10/10. The only thing I wished for was a few more Fresno chiles to bring up the heat a bit. I skipped the mussels (not my thing), and they were happy to add extra shrimp instead. My friend ordered the steak with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts, which were phenomenal. We also shared the artichoke appetizer, and it was really, really good. My friend and I stopped here for dinner and it was her first time. After checking in for our reservation we were seated within 10 minutes which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was on a Saturday. I highly recommend getting reservations at least a few days to a week in advance since the book up quickly. We sat in the bar area which was slightly loud but not too bad. We were still able to have conversations without feeling like we're shouting. Our waitress was very kind and was patient with us while we looked over the menu. This is truly one of our favorite date night restaurants in town! It's fairly easy to get a reservation and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I love the pecan crusted pork chop and my husband's absolute favorite is the ranch steak (always go Chicago style!). Dave's VIP is a fantastic cocktail as well. We've been here many times and I can't think of a time we had a bad experience. They renovated back around 2020 and has a modern atmosphere. Parking is free and fairly easy to grab, unless you're visiting during peak times. There's really not a place you could sit that isn't comfortable and inviting. We were promptly helped by the hostesses who were warm and friendly. Our server was friendly and efficient but service did feel a bit rushed as she would start walking away before we even finished answering her questions and the bill was dropped at the same time as the dessert among other things. Food was just ok and it took quite a long time to come to the table despite it not being that busy. The steak was disappointing as I had ordered it medium rare and it was served well done and dry. Overall just an ok restaurant but in all honesty it won't be a regular spot for us. For a 50.00 entree , I have higher expectations. My tiny little filet mignon tasted ok , but it wasn't worth 50.00 . In fact , I would have a hard time paying more than 29.99 . Here is a trick, put these mini steaks on a smaller plate and you can trick your customers. Add in the fact that they provide you a small dollop of mashed potatoes as a side dish- and we have a problem. Too much negative space on my plate Yosemite Ranch- (see picture below). To put this in perspective, my 14 year old son said he had a better filet mignon at The Cheesecake Factory. Now , that is saying something. When a steakhouse gets outperformed by a chain restaurant- that is a red flag. I like the vibe of this place. It is always busy, loud and has a really nice dining room . But the portions have seemed to dwindle, and the price point has gone up. I think this is goodbye for now Yosemite Ranch. We arrived around 7:00 pm and relaxed in the car while we waited, and right on time at 7:40 we got a text that our table was ready. We were greeted right away and quickly taken to our seats. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the night. We started with the pull-apart stuffed house bread and the firecracker shrimp, and they were so good we completely forgot to take pictures! We also split the BLT wedge salad, which was delicious. For my main course, I ordered the New York strip and shrimp cooked medium, with a baked sweet yam topped with butter and brown sugar -- everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My boyfriend ordered a steak with mac & cheese, and he loved his meal too. Service was quick, the staff was attentive, and the food really impressed us. We came here without reservations for dinner on a Friday night. We got here right when they opened at 4 pm, which I think is definitely needed if you don't have reservations. The restaurant got pretty packed around 5 pm, so if you are trying to have dinner on a weekend night then you definitely need to have reservations. We ordered the firecracker shrimp , wild mexican prawn cocktail, house stuffed bread, rib eye ( cooked rare), prime rib ( med rare), and butter cake. The firecracker shrimp were a pass, the dish looked good but the taste was mediocre, the lettuce part was really oily and not that tasty. The prawn cocktail was also pretty basic, large prawns on ice. The house stuffed bread was amazing, served hot and super garlicky with tons of butter and so moist. My rib eye was cooked perfectly, whenever I order steaks I feel like most places overcook the steak a little but mine was a perfect blue, still slightly cool on the inside. The prime rib was also really moist and juicy. The butter cake wasn't as good as other butter cakes I have had ( mastros still has the best butter cake I've ever tried). I think this is a great place to come for drinks / people watch before dinner / to have a nice dinner with friends and family. I had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant awhile back when I slipped and fell during my visit. None of the staff members helped me or checked on me. I'm thankful to the few good Samaritans who stepped in to tend to me. No one from the restaurant ever reached out to check on me after giving them my contact info. I emailed the general manager the following week to inform him of the incident and get a copy of the report for my records. He apologized and stated he wanted to call me to discuss what had happened. I gave him my availability to which he responded that "our schedules are conflicting" so he would not be calling me to discuss. Instead he offered me a gift card. I never bothered responding. Great bartenders and drinks but to get a table is a nightmare. So badly managed, every night we go there and try to get a table they tell us 15-20 minutes then seat someone else. Yesterday we just left and we're going to order food for 4 at the bar but the other 2 had to stand and wait for over an hour while three bar tables were empty and we were supposedly on the list next and another couple got seated there. The front kept saying 20 minutes that was over an hour was ridiculous. Food not that good here anyways k never go here for food but we were gonna eat the full meal for four.
