For a solve my family and I made reservations a week prior for Yosemite ranch located in the north Fresno area. We were super excited because they're nearby us and we enjoy their food and their hospitality is awesome. We were able to we were beyond words when we found out that they were having a Mother's Day brunch because everybody else was either full or way out the way for traveling and I like to be local. I mean reservations for my family and I and once we arrive we were immediately seated to our table. Server name was Maxine she did excellent job for servicing the area that we were in. I inform Maxine that my son is special needs and that he needed his food first and she was able to accommodate that which was super awesome. The decor is relaxing and they have a TVs up for games and everybody is talking and having a great time. We order the surf and turf sushi rolls the wagu cheeseburger meal and the French toast was delicious. We really enjoyed brunch today at yosemite's ranch for celebrating Mother's Day. Came here for a friend's birthday and they had messed up on the reservation for 7 people, they then had to squeeze us into a booth with a chair at the end to make up for it some time later. Not great. Service was great, our waters were constantly filled by our server without asking. Food took a very long time to come out, even the server had to come by and apologize to us about the wait time. After about 30-45 mins, the food was impressive. I got the calamari steak and it was delicious and cooked to the right tenderness. Inside is very dim but stays busy overall. Good for hanging out or a date night spot. I came here on a Saturday night for a friend's birthday with a reservation. But apparently they messed up the reservation and thought it was under someone else? We had it for 5pm but we didn't get seated till 5:30-5:45pm. The restaurant was nice with a little fire pit in the waiting area. We had a group of 7 people and our server Zach was very nice. He took our orders right away. The drinks and appetizers came out first. However, it took a very long time for us to get our entrees. Even our server had to come to our table to apologize for the delay. I understand it was busy but we sat there for a long time. We didn't leave till 7-7:30pm. Even getting our water refilled took a while too. They were nice enough to let us put our birthday cake in their fridge for us and bring out a lighter to light the candle, plates and utensils. This place is definitely becoming a favorite of mine. I've made it a point to try something new every time I visit, and this time I ordered the spicy seafood pasta 10/10. The only thing I wished for was a few more Fresno chiles to bring up the heat a bit. I skipped the mussels (not my thing), and they were happy to add extra shrimp instead. My friend ordered the steak with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts, which were phenomenal. We also shared the artichoke appetizer, and it was really, really good. Our server, Desiree, was phenomenal all night. She was attentive, kept up with everything we needed, and was so easy to talk to. She's the kind of server who makes the whole experience more fun. She definitely helped make our night stand out. We finished the evening with an Old Fashioned and a glass of The Setting, which is by far one of my favorite wines I've had at Yo Ranch. Lively place with a long wait time, making a reservation helps. The vibe is dark and cozy. Staff is kind and informative. Floors are a bit hard to walk on so if wearing heels be cautious. As for what i ordered Shrimp linguine - 6 out of 10, flavor is very subtle and I'm used to more flavor. For the price you do get a decent amount of pasta. My friend and I stopped here for dinner and it was her first time. After checking in for our reservation we were seated within 10 minutes which wasn't too bad considering how busy it was on a Saturday. I highly recommend getting reservations at least a few days to a week in advance since the book up quickly. We sat in the bar area which was slightly loud but not too bad. We were still able to have conversations without feeling like we're shouting. Our waitress was very kind and was patient with us while we looked over the menu. I ended up getting the meatloaf and I'm glad I did. It was so flavorful and not dry at all. The mashed potatoes were delicious. I love a mocktail and the Golden Hour with agave was delicious. Salmon cooked on oak was tasty and not over cooked. Prompt service, delicious food. It is noisy when crowded with lots of hard surfaces so if you are sensitive to noise, eat early and often. read more

This is truly one of our favorite date night restaurants in town! It's fairly easy to get a reservation and the staff is always so friendly and accommodating. I love the pecan crusted pork chop and my husband's absolute favorite is the ranch steak (always go Chicago style!). Dave's VIP is a fantastic cocktail as well. We've been here many times and I can't think of a time we had a bad experience. They renovated back around 2020 and has a modern atmosphere. Parking is free and fairly easy to grab, unless you're visiting during peak times. There's really not a place you could sit that isn't comfortable and inviting. Wow, totally worth the hype! The food was amazing. I highly recommend the pistachio encrusted calamari steak. Wow! The twin petite filets were cooked to perfection. Yosemite Ranch is a nice restaurant. The interior is simple with a touch of elegance and class but still comfortable and not snobby feeling. We were promptly helped by the hostesses who were warm and friendly. Our server was friendly and efficient but service did feel a bit rushed as she would start walking away before we even finished answering her questions and the bill was dropped at the same time as the dessert among other things. Food was just ok and it took quite a long time to come to the table despite it not being that busy. The steak was disappointing as I had ordered it medium rare and it was served well done and dry. Overall just an ok restaurant but in all honesty it won't be a regular spot for us. Have you ever been on a first date where everything went perfect, and you start to feel like this person may be the one? However, on the second date , you start to notice some red flags and you need a third date to make the final determination if you are going to invest more into the relationship or keep looking for someone new. No? Ok , maybe it's just me. I just had my third date with Yosemite Ranch , and I am thinking of breaking it off. It's not you Yosemite Ranch - it's me. For a 50.00 entree , I have higher expectations. My tiny little filet mignon tasted ok , but it wasn't worth 50.00 . In fact , I would have a hard time paying more than 29.99 . Here is a trick, put these mini steaks on a smaller plate and you can trick your customers. Add in the fact that they provide you a small dollop of mashed potatoes as a side dish- and we have a problem. Too much negative space on my plate Yosemite Ranch- (see picture below). To put this in perspective, my 14 year old son said he had a better filet mignon at The Cheesecake Factory. Now , that is saying something. When a steakhouse gets outperformed by a chain restaurant- that is a red flag. I like the vibe of this place. It is always busy, loud and has a really nice dining room . But the portions have seemed to dwindle, and the price point has gone up. I think this is goodbye for now Yosemite Ranch. We arrived around 7:00 pm and relaxed in the car while we waited, and right on time at 7:40 we got a text that our table was ready. We were greeted right away and quickly taken to our seats. Our waiter was friendly and attentive throughout the night. We started with the pull-apart stuffed house bread and the firecracker shrimp, and they were so good we completely forgot to take pictures! We also split the BLT wedge salad, which was delicious. For my main course, I ordered the New York strip and shrimp cooked medium, with a baked sweet yam topped with butter and brown sugar -- everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. My boyfriend ordered a steak with mac & cheese, and he loved his meal too. Service was quick, the staff was attentive, and the food really impressed us. We were seated at the time of our reservation and were able to carry our drinks from the bar to the table. We came here without reservations for dinner on a Friday night. We got here right when they opened at 4 pm, which I think is definitely needed if you don't have reservations. The restaurant got pretty packed around 5 pm, so if you are trying to have dinner on a weekend night then you definitely need to have reservations. We ordered the firecracker shrimp , wild mexican prawn cocktail, house stuffed bread, rib eye ( cooked rare), prime rib ( med rare), and butter cake. The firecracker shrimp were a pass, the dish looked good but the taste was mediocre, the lettuce part was really oily and not that tasty. The prawn cocktail was also pretty basic, large prawns on ice. The house stuffed bread was amazing, served hot and super garlicky with tons of butter and so moist. My rib eye was cooked perfectly, whenever I order steaks I feel like most places overcook the steak a little but mine was a perfect blue, still slightly cool on the inside. The prime rib was also really moist and juicy. The butter cake wasn't as good as other butter cakes I have had ( mastros still has the best butter cake I've ever tried). I think this is a great place to come for drinks / people watch before dinner / to have a nice dinner with friends and family. Great bartenders and drinks but to get a table is a nightmare. So badly managed, every night we go there and try to get a table they tell us 15-20 minutes then seat someone else. Yesterday we just left and we're going to order food for 4 at the bar but the other 2 had to stand and wait for over an hour while three bar tables were empty and we were supposedly on the list next and another couple got seated there. The front kept saying 20 minutes that was over an hour was ridiculous. Food not that good here anyways k never go here for food but we were gonna eat the full meal for four. The first recommendation was the yellow tail sashimi plate. Outstanding!!! Full of flavor, and portioning was perfect. Highly recommend! Our entrees were very tasty as well. The food was full of balanced flavors, cooked to perfection, and generous portions. The Chicago style was a flavorful hot rosemary butter that the prime sat in. Came out on a sizzling plate and probably one of the best cuts of prime rib I ever had. Highly highly recommend! The salmon was so good as well. Cooked perfectly and the sides of rice pilaf and mashed potatoes were knockout! The restaurant itself is gorgeous! Very classy yet relaxed vibes happening there. Perfect for a more dressed up date night or even a business casual. I had an unfortunate experience at this restaurant awhile back when I slipped and fell during my visit. None of the staff members helped me or checked on me. I'm thankful to the few good Samaritans who stepped in to tend to me. No one from the restaurant ever reached out to check on me after giving them my contact info. I emailed the general manager the following week to inform him of the incident and get a copy of the report for my records. He apologized and stated he wanted to call me to discuss what had happened. I gave him my availability to which he responded that "our schedules are conflicting" so he would not be calling me to discuss. Instead he offered me a gift card. I never bothered responding. This is a really special place to eat. the environment has a great positive vibe and the staff are amazing. we had a few small children and they gave extra care to make the comfortable and full of snacks to keep them entertained. i would recommend trying the Lobster plate my brother and i both had it with a sweet yam and it was really tender and delicious. other had the Salmon and the Halibut and they all seemed to love their plates. Our pork chop, New York steaks with shrimp, and salmon were all beautifully prepared. If you like garlic, be sure to have your steak served on the garlic butter sauce - it's amazing. I'm not taking away a star because I have no actual complaints, but I think the experience would be enhanced with less crowded seating (servers could barely get through the aisles) and a few more dessert options (there were only three plus one of those adapted into a special). Be forewarned that the desserts are large - easily enough for two or even three unless you have a very large sweet tooth. Overall, it's a great place for a nice meal out. read more
