Dropping a stars because Splash Zones pricing/advertising is ABSOLUTE BULLSHIT, and annoyingly deceptive. Because I've been there before, I'm on their stupid mailing list for "promotions" and *HARDCORE DR. EVIL AIRQUOTES* "discounts." SO, we decide to head back one day because it is a decent water park for our little one, and I see in my inbox that they are offering discounted, sorry, "discounted," tickets if you buy online. The advert mentions the price is $25.... SIKE! Gotcha, dummies. No...the price for the day we were trying to go, which was a damn Thursday, btw, was $48. But wait; what about those $25 tickets, I hear you asking. They are only for certain, specific days. Looking at the calendar, it appears that Sunday is the day with the $25 dollar tickets. "Ok, we'll just go Sunday then," says the Misses, optimistically. Wrong again. I go today to look at the SUNDAY tickets, and they are now $28 dollars. "That sucks," I hear you begin to say, "but that's still cheaper than if you buy regular price." Oh, you sweet summer child......The $28 is ONLY available if you buy online, but when you go to check out, Splash Zone chargers a, and I quote, "Online Recovery Fee," basically to recoup some of the cost of the "discounted" ticket. SO, the advertised price of $25 per ticket, which turned into $28 per ticket, is now actually $31per ticket. I HAVE to go, because of how my marriage is set up, but I hope Splash Zone enjoys my last time ever visiting their park. read more

Still cheaper than Morey's - what we would have spent on admission alone at Morey's we got: admission, cabana, locker rental, and food at Splash Zone. But there's a reason SZ is cheaper, attractions are minimal in comparison and food is just okay. We got breakfast and lunch while at SZ, it was all just okay. The breakfast sandwiches weren't bad, and at $6.95 they were on par with what you'd pay on the boardwalk anyway. The waffles were awful. Would not recommend. Pizza and chicken tenders were fine, typical boardwalk food. Chicken tender meal was pricey for what you get. The salad was not worth $15-16. read more

I bought waterslide packages for my family to enjoy the day. I spent the extra to have $50 dollars in food vouchers for the kids. I also purchased a cabana to keep the baby out of the sun. We came to the water park and received the vouchers and the cabana. Linda escorted us to our cabana. It was said she good ya to bring the food vouchers to the counter at the end of the day. We had a cabana on the lower level next to the flow runner and the flow bar and grill. We were not told that the vouchers we had was not for food at this bar. The women came around to take our food order and she did not tell us that the food vouchers we had were not for the flow bar. We would have to walk the whole water park for food next to the exit gate. No one told us where to use the vouchers. The flow bar used the same menu as that up stairs. The same kitchen. We ordered, had lunch and when it was time to settle the bill we were told that they could. It accept the vouchers. We paid cash for our check and left. We went to the manager to explain our situation to only find the manager was unwilling to correct their clear F@&CK UP I furious !! We spent the extra for the vouchers yet paid more then expected. The cabana had no privacy curtains like all the others. The wave machine broke within an hour of use my granddaughter waited in line to ride. It couldn't. Three of the watersides were broken. The lazy river was so crowded with kids no lifeguard to take control of the situation. NO STAY AWAY spend the extra at Moreys Pier and have a better experience !!! read more

Best value for your money. Each year we visit and it does not disappoint. My 7 year old loves the slides and the water play area with the giant water bucket.. Hubby loves the lazy river. It's not a huge place so I'm guessing my kid will outgrow this place at 10 years old. Right now it's a dream. We arrived at 10am and left at 230 and he was still having a blast. They have a flow rider attraction which helps you simulate riding a wave. We did not use it. You're not allowed to bring in food or drinks which is a bummer. We ended up ordering a kids meal. The drinks with the meal come with unlimited fountain drinks. Not bad for $9. Plus it comes with a bucket and shovel. I was able to keep refiling the cup with ice water which was needed in the 97 degree day we visited. Large lockers are $15 which is pricey but worth it since you need a place to place your valuables. Tragedy. First indication that we should have turned away: We walked up to the front desk to purchase "after 3pm entrance tickets" four minutes early and were asked to wait, when nobody was even around. You can't overlook 4 minutes? People came after us for the 3pm special and now over a measly four minutes a line formed. Once the longest four minutes ever passed, we needed to ask for a locker. Everybody comes to the waterpark with some belongings right? How can you not? $14 FOR A SMALL LOCKER. You haveeee to be kidding me. $14 for a locker is highway robbery. Thats some BULL. I was really getting agitated at this point. The woman behind the counter was young and had zero sympathy to offer. The attitude at this waterpark is, customers come in and out of the metaphorical revolving doors so, they don't need to cater to anyone. They even have a strict NO REFUNDS policy. In other words, if you're not happy, they don't give a shxt. The customer is not always right. The key to the locker we were given had a number on it which was very faintly written. Now to find the locker. After asking multiple employees who barely cared, we were steered a little closer in the right direction, but still wrong. Many of the numbers on the lockers were even rubbed off so who could tell if it was the right locker or not? SO FRUSTRATING. Finally we realized our lockers were located in the "bumble fk" area of the park as I refer to it. Next to the bar in the Flow House. Fine, we put our stuff away and that was it. We headed for the slides. The slides were like other water slides in other parks. If you like them in general, you will enjoy them. I have just one warning though about their biggest water slide. At the end of the ride, the raft is halted dramatically. Just like when you're on a rollercoaster, it stops suddenly and you're ripped to a halt. Or if you've ever been in a car where someone has slammed on the brakes and you get that kind of whiplash jerking motion. That's what happened at the end of this ride. It would have been fine except it caused me to jolt my foot forwards directly into my poor boyfriend's crotch. Pen!s and testicles! Oh, my! He had trouble finding them for an hour or longer after that experience. It put a large damper on the rest of our day, as you could probably imagine. Maybe riders should get a warning about this surprise end jolt. There is no way in hell I could ever recommend this water park to another living being ever. I'm giving this 1 star mainly because they closed the Waterpark due to low attendance on Tuesday(they called it "weather related" but it was 75 and cloudy and clearly not weather related). We paid for a cabana in the kids area (we have a 1.5 year old in our party) and we're having a great time for about an hour. Then a manager comes over and tells us they are closing in 15 minutes and to speak to customer service. They issue us tickets to come back today and said that our cabana was still available. Of course we get here and the cabana was booked so we got stuck in the sandy cabanas by the flowrider. In the sand the kids found a 4 inch nail and a bullet casing. I don't think I need to say any more. I feel that they deserve the 1 star because the manager onsite, Dottie, tried her best to accommodate us, but we are done. We appreciate her efforts but we had a terrible experience, all of us. Had they left the park open on Tuesday just for a few more hours, none of this would've been an issue and I would probably be writing a positive review. read more

If you're going to Wildwood and interested in a water park, I would not recommend Splash Zone. But if you decide to go there, I would not suggest purchasing the tickets in advance nor purchasing their insurance. I purchased tickets for yesterday and Splash Zone decided to close for "inclement weather". Not one rain drop fell and it was a beautiful day. Because it didn't rain, the insurance wouldn't pay out. Our only option left is to use the tickets on a different day, which is great for those who live closer but I am hours away and unable to come back again this summer. So thanks Splash Zone, for taking my money and closing for absolutely no reason. My family and I have been coming here for years but no more unfortunately. Good value for the money ... if you Groupon. We bought tickets on Groupon for about 40% off prior to arriving at the shore. Getting into the park was super easy. We arrived about an hour after they opened and rented a large locker (a little pricey at $15). There were still chairs around, so we set up on a few of them. We didn't really wait for anything longer than 5 or so minutes, which is a welcome change from our "home" water park. The park itself seemed very clean and bathrooms were clean. The park is the perfect size for our boys (ages 7 and 10). It was big enough for them to have plenty to do, but small enough that my husband and I could keep tabs on the boys from the small splash pool by the water activity area. Lunch was a bit disappointing. There is table service only in the area by the flow rider, which is nice for a water park. However, service was extremely slow and the food was overpriced and mediocre. We got excited for a minute because we thought we could order from the evening menu (a much better, non-fried menu), but had to content ourselves with the typical fried Pier food. Our boys were obsessed with the flow rider (a standing-wave boogie board thing). That worked out well for us because we grabbed a table right in front of the flow rider and had a drink from the bar while they exhausted themselves. Altogether, we spent about 5 hours at this water park. It was a nice break from the sand. I would definitely go again the next time we are in wildwood. read more

For the size of the park I would expect the price to be much lower. For the same price you can enjoy much larger parks with more slides. We reserved a cabana and enjoyed the waitress. The first slice of pizza we order was excellent however later in the day we got another round of slices and they tasted as if they came from a cardboard box and microwaved. My daughter tried the wave runner and was injured when the staff failed to direct her on where to place her feet to get on the boogie board. The pressure of the water knocked her on her side and she bruised her shoulder. It all could have been avoided if the staff where not fraternizing with the "Guido Surfers." read more

Splash Zone. That's the one on the street side of the boardwalk. We had a groupon, which was basically a 2 for 1 admission for the day. We got there about 10:30 (30 mins after open) and stayed until about 4ish. Like anywhere else getting there early got you on most "rides" with minimal lines then crowds built all day. The flow rider was a good time. The waiver signing is tedious. No line was completely unbearable. The clientele was not terrible. Food was overpriced, but where isn't at the boardwalk? We had 2 slices of pizza, hamburger and fries, and two re-fillable drinks for $23. Bathrooms were clean and not crowded. Park was clean and well staffed. I noted (as a former lifeguard would, I suppose) the guard staff rotated frequently, so they were pretty attentive. We paid $10 for a locker rental and got $2 back with key return. We paid to reserve 2 lounge chairs for the day at a cost of $10 per. I can't decide if that was worth it or not, but I lean toward a "yes, worth it." When we arrived (fairly early) there were a few open chairs, but those were quickly taken. There were lots of chairs spread all around, so I couldn't assess if more were available in "less prime" areas. It was nice though, not having to worry about it. One downside- I still needed the locker. Since it was just two of us, I didn't feel comfortable leaving phones, wallet, etc unattended. They also have cabana rentals near the flow rider (and bar!). They start at $99. You get 4-6 chairs, TV, locker and wait service, although food/drinks are not included. read more

There's maybe 1 kiddie pool about 8 water slides and1 lazy river. You can do the whole park in under an hour and it's just not worth it. SUPER Amazing and Fun experience!!! It was a sunny but cool day so the park was not crowded at all. We had a party; special thanks to Roger for the exceptional customer service and smooth party planning. The pizza and cake was really good as well. They also have a bar for the adults. All of the staff, including the server did an awesome job with making sure we were ok the entire time. We spent hours on the slides and enjoyed every moment at the park. I celebrated my daughters 10th birthday here and it was such an amazing time and experience from beginning to end. The reservation process is super simple and straight forward. You can do it online or call them up at their phone number which is on their website. They only require a 50% deposit and if your entire party doesn't show up you won't be charged. The party area is on the deck away from the madness and they made sure to reserve the shaded area for me to accommodate for the infants. They allow you to decorate and my party helper was super attentive and friendly. The kids had a blast. They all loved the splash bucket that fills up with water and then spills all over them while in the kiddie pool area. I highly recommend this water park. read more

Don't trust your map! Splash Zone and Raging Waters are distinct parks in distinct locations! Splash Zone is right on Schellenger Ave. We wanted to go to Raging Rapids but wound up at Splash Zone because my phone sent me to 3500 boardwalk Wildwood, NJ. Splash Zone is great for kids aged 4 to 10. It's smaller than Raging Rapids so it's easier to keep track of the kids. It's less imposing for the younger kids and they enjoyed it just as much. I purchased a Groupon for my daughter and her friend to this park ($50 for two but only usable Friday to Monday.) Unfortunately I thought I was buying tickets to the waterpark on Morey's Pier - this ISN'T that waterpark. This park is much much smaller and may be okay for younger children but mine are teenagers. Also you cannot bring in any of your own food or drink (you can at Morey's). The cost of the food at this place is a bit ridiculous so the kids left the park and ate on the boardwalk. My main problem with this place is the cost of renting a small locker ($18)!! Really!! What a rip-off. Now I know why they offer the Groupon - it's to get you in the door so they can rip you off with the ridiculous food and locker prices. Never again we're going back to Morey's. read more

Splash zone is a small water park, right on the boardwalk. There is a lazy river type ride, several tube rides and a multi-level obstacle course open play area that is very shallow so even babies can splash in. There are lots of lounge chairs and seating areas but they get saved up quickly so come early to grab good seats. The ticket allows you to come in and out as you please for the duration of the day. There is also a bar, cabana and sand area around the flowrider ride which is a bit more secluded if you are looking for a break from the sun and all the screaming kids. I believe kids without adults aren't allowed into this area because there was a designated person checking IDs. I would check Groupon because they periodically have specials and we paid ~$40 for two adults and a baby (under 2 is free). Lockers are available for a fee and are very convenient to store your valuables or dry clothes to change into later. You aren't allowed to bring food in, except for bottled water, but since your ticket allows unlimited entrance and exit throughout the day you are able to go to the boardwalk and eat anywhere, so you aren't limited to the water park's food choices. read more

If I didn't have a Groupon, I would never come here. I paid $69.99 for four people via groupon and that was plenty of money for them to make a profit. Regular admission is $37+ tax per person and I find that to be too expensive for this particular park. The park is usually busy so unless you're one of the first to arrive you don't get a place to sit. You could rent a cabana which is $100 for the day. I feel that is outrageous. I rented one last year and while the waitress staff was fantastic and I did appreciate being able to sit in the shade, $100 is price gouging simply because they can. The changing room starts off clean in the morning but with the high volume of people it is dirty rather quickly. Splash zone apparently does not hire staff to intermittently clean throughout the day. There is no area to change in private. If you want to change into a bathing suit or out of a wet bathing suit into dry clothing you have to do it in front of everyone or do it in the toilet stall. They have two showers and the shower curtains are completely see-through so you can't even go in there and change with any degree of privacy. My children seem to enjoy the waterslides and coming to the park but they also enjoy going to the other water parks equally well on Morey's pier. You pay $10 for a locker when you return the key they give you two dollars back more price gouging. I mean honestly why do they even need to make money on the lockers? But this is America and they can charge whatever they like. It's not a bad park per se it's just overpriced for what you get in my opinion. Perfect for my 5 year old and we had a blast as a family. She was just tall enough to go on all the water slides (she's just over 4 foot). All the water slides begin and end on the slide, so there's no plunging into a pool or swimming required. I also liked that it was small, so it's not hard to find each other if you get separated, and you can spend a couple hours there and go about the rest of your day seeing other things, especially if you're only on a weekend vacation. I wouldn't exactly recommend it for teenagers looking for thrills, but for kids age 5-12 or for a first time water park experience, it's a lot of fun. read more

I disagree with the other reviewers on several points. Splash Zone is better suited to smaller kids than Moreys. I've been to both & at moreys u stay sequestered on the lil' kids island area where they can splash & get wet but it's nothing like a water park. If u have kids of mixed ages that's boring. SZ has great slides for youngsters who are OK on there own for the duration of the slide & at the finish. Some 4-5 yr olds & up, NOT TODDLERS, do perfectly well on the Pink slides. They're still fun for bigger kids & adults but not too overwhelming for little ones Yes the price is high but it's very self contained & not a mob scene like Moreys. Also not as noisy/ pushy. Older kids would probably get bored & be happier at Moreys but for families this is a nice adventure. They charge $10 for a locker & u get $5 back. Not sure if Moreys does this too. U don't have to get a locker though. Just leave ur valuables home. Ther are plenty of chairs picnic tables & even a sandy play beach to relax & leave ur towels. The main central area is equal to Moreys secluded tot area with fountains mini slides etc. there is also a baby pool off by the snack bar. Small water park perfect for 95 degree weather to cool down by huge bucket pouring water every 5 minutes with a lazy river and 5 slides. Two slides with tubes and two without and a large round multi tube but it was under repair. It gets packed quickly so get there early to grab lounge chairs. Large lockers are $15 for the full day but park is so small I can't see how you could be there more than 2-3 hours max. Ok. Positives: Not as expensive as the water parks on Morey's Piers. Also, we got a coupon online which lowered the price further. Some of the slides are fun, especially "The Beast of the East." Negatives: 1. You cannot bring in food. They check your bag to make sure. At Morey's we brought food and there was no problem. 2. The water is cold. Nowhere is the water heated. Not on the slides, not even in the rather short lazy river. On a hot day this may not bother anyone but you should know going in. 3. Its a smaller park w/ less attractions. (But of course less money). 4. There is the old axiom "You get what you pay for" and this water park is less money than those on Morey's piers BUT you also get the clientele you pay with. There were certainly more people of questionable character at this park (than at Morey's). One example: As we sat in our chairs a family came by and a boy about 9 or 10 screamed F--- You! in his mother's face. She then asked "What's wrong?" And he screamed the same phrase again. This is not what I want MY kids hearing and certainly not in a public place. There were a few other examples too but I don't want to write a book here. So in conclusion, you can get a good deal and the slides aren't bad (though they have cold water) but you won't be able to bring in food and you will have to deal w/ a larger proportion of undesirable to semi-undesirable people. read more

We had a great time today at the Waterpark. Our kids are 4 and 6 and often struggle at most water parks because they are too small to ride most slides. This park definitely caters to smaller kids which was perfect. The park entertained our girls for a solid 5 hours- which is not common. Paid for 3 and left within 5 mins. For our 4 year old, the massive bucket was scary and ruined the play area for him right away because there was little cover from it when it dumped water. Here is the worst part. When leaving we walked right out with our son without any badge scanning! Big security concern for sure. Maybe we were going out the wrong way, but we walked past 3 or 4 staff members and not one asked to scan our badges. Mind you, we had seen all of them just 10 minutes earlier when coming in. Also, no outside food at all allowed. I watched the poor family throw awAy all their healthy snacks and likely forced to buy overpriced junk for their two children. We went to the pier water parks after that, paid for more tickets (turned into a $200 day pretty quickly after paying for Splash Zone). The pier parks were very age appropriate for our little guy. Clean, Friendly staff, though security procedures. And I was amazed at the food menu! There were actually healthy options. And at the northern pier there was a bar with live music.
