Had them for months till they canceled after they sited the high cost for chemicals. Had issues with the guy cleaning the pool and were already looking for a new company to service our pool. I had Splish Splash replace some of our pool equipment after reading several excellent reviews on Nextdoor. Technician Van was professional, timely and neat. He fully explained what they would do, how long it would take and answered all of my questions. Van showed up on time after calling first and completed the job within the time he had estimated, He cleaned up all of the mess he created and the price was actually slightly less than initially quoted. There was a slight hiccup with a rebate but they did more than what I expected to make it right!! The owner even called to help settle the small problem. Wish you guys never joined with Pool Troopers. Ever since, there's been miscommunication. I had a billing error which eventually got resolved. I requested maintenance and a guy showed up for the job 2 days after they had already sent someone else to fix my issue. I had no idea that my service days had changed until the day of when I'm being told my gate is locked. I used to receive an online invoice and could pay online. Now I got a bill in the mail and it only states to send check as an option to the Florida office. I called Splish Splash today to reschedule my service and was directed by the voicemail to call Pool Troopers. I call Pool Troopers and get automated service and am on hold for 15 mins before talking to a very unpleasant woman. I got put on hold again and she came back to say I was rescheduled but she didn't know what day and that most likely they'll let me know the day of. I asked to pay my balance since I didn't know how to pay online. She just seemed so unhappy and not interested in helping. I requested to end my service with this company after the pool guy came for the reschedule. She told me I would have to call back to cancel service because if she puts it in now then it will automatically just cancel me and I won't get the rescheduled service. I said fine, just cancel it now then. I'd rather have to find a new place than call Pool Troopers back and be on hold forever then talk to someone so unpleasant. My pool's been fine. Just not the same customer service that they used to have. read more

DON'T SCHEDULE SERVICE WITH THEM!!! This Company has gone downhill since being acquired by Pool Troopers. We had service done on our pool less than a year ago that is under warranty and have been trying for months to get service but they either don't show up or show up on the wrong day and don't do the service they say they are doing. We gave them multiple chances to make it right by contacting them and politely explaining the situation but none the less we haven't received service. We finally gave up and scheduled service with someone else. Now we are getting invoices and phone calls about services that was done to someone else's house and in someone else's name and they are requesting payment. This has been a nightmare of a situation. read more

I've been a customer of Splish Splash for many years. Recently i replaced my sand filter with a cartridge filter at thier suggestion, and went through them to have the work done and hardware ordered. I receive emails from them suggesting that i purchase additional adhoc services from them on a regular basis, which i typically decline as i perform filter cleaning and order replacement gaskets on my own (as Amazon parts from the manufacturer are less than half the cost they propose to charge). The current state of my pool is immaculate- no leaves and a recently cleaned filter. I received an email stating that they would no longer service my pool as it requires too much chlorine to maintain. This NEVER happened with my sand filter. It is a little unbelievable that a business would recommend a product at a high cost to the consumer, then no longer want to service the pool shortly after that product had been installed. Unfortunately I feel as if this company has taken advantage of me and does not want to stand by the product they recommended. read more

When Splish Splash performed the simple service of replacing the pool light with an LED light, I promised that I'd call again when I screwed up something really expensive. Well, it happened. I took on the task of replacing the grids in my DE filter and the job was completed almost without incident. Almost. As I got ready to reload the filter, I snapped the plunger in the backwash valve. I knew this thing was going to let go because I typically pull it apart twice a year for cleaning and lube. But when the plunger snapped, I was kind of relieved because the valve housing also had a crack in it that would leak some. So, it was Van to the rescue again. But when he showed up, I asked if he could move the filter a couple inches away from the wall when he replaced the backwash valve. No problem! He moved the filter so I can build a shed over the equipment. He installed a much sturdier backwash valve and it operates smooth as glass. But here's the crazy part. You know how PVC pipe gets burned up and crummy looking in the sun? Well, after he installed the shiny new PVC pipe and fittings for the new valve, he got out a can of off-white spray paint and painted the new PVC and the burnt old PVC the same color as the Pentair filter. From the online level-of-service options with no hidden costs, to the efficient & effective service, Splish Splash could be charging so much more! In addition to the expected "regular" service, Our tech identified a potentially expense filter problem and with his expertise, all it costs us was a washer! Letting us know the basket was cracked and getting it replaced (again a nominal charge) cleaned up the pool surface almost immediately! I had a pool guy come to my home, he told the customer service rep Jane that my pool was leaking, she quoted me $85+parts to repair it. It was winter then I didn't find the need to do it right then but a few months later as it began warming up, my husband and I decided it was a good idea. The new pool guy didn't even realize the leak, I had to point it out to him, he said, "oh I had no idea." he finished putting chemicals in and left. I called Jane to inform her we were now ready to move forward and all of a sudden I need a new pump and filter for 3k! She turned off my service stating there was no amount of chemicals they could put in to make a difference until those items were done. I used another pool company to come out and look and they indicated that my filter was brand new, we just needed to fix the leak around the pipes and the pump needed a new part, not a new pump all together. Anyhow, the 3k they wanted to charge me ended up costing me $510.00 I then called Splish Splash back to inform them they can restart my chemical service and Jane was grilling me about the work done. She wanted to know if it were brand new, I said, "what is the difference if it is new or not, if it is running like it is brand new?" Her response was that she has a "sticky note" from her pool guy indicating things needed to be completely replaced. SO naturally I asked how he would know, if he hadn't come back to my home to look and the last time he was here he didn't even realize it was leaking. Anyhow, I got so upset that I ended up hanging up. I had to revise my review because my previous review is not an accurate depiction of the service i have received over a five year period and it's not fair to have great service for nearly five years and rate poorly because of one bad experience. I was having a rough day and was much more harsh on my review than splish splash deserves. They have been super reliable and helpful and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth by using them.
