My family decided to invest in a pool heater to extend our swimming season. Doing our due diligence, we requested quotes from multiple businesses. Best pool service and repair in the Valley, bar none. Twice Ryan has been able get us out of a bind. He's super knowledgeable and responsive and reasonably priced. Recently, I had an issue with my pool filter so I texted Ryan at 9PM, thinking I would not hear from him till the next day. We are obtaining quotes from several different Pool Builders in the east valley. We are going to be spending $40K-$45K on a 400 SF surface built in pool. I noticed the 5 star reviews for Refresh Pools. I called them Saturday 7/13/19 at 10:10AM and left a voice mail indicating I would like a quote on a new build pool. No call back, so I called Refresh Pools again on Thursday 7/18/19 at 2:20PM. Ryan answered and I told him I left a message for him last Saturday for a quote on a new build pool. Our 30 year old pool was re-plastered in 2005, and we felt it needed re-surfacing again in order to ensure it would still look nice when we moved in 5 years. We searched Yelp for pool companies who had the highest ratings from the largest number of customers and chose 4 to get estimates from. It was important to us that the company we went with was registered with the Arizona Board of Contractors as a "Swimming Pool Contractor" and not merely as a company who does "Swimming Pool Service and Repair." Refresh Pools met that criteria. It was also important to us that the company we choose was licensed to use the actual Pebble Tec or Pebble Sheen product, as there are many other "mini pebble" products being used in the Valley. Again, Refresh Pools met this criteria. We worked with Ryan from Refresh Pools, and felt he was very experienced and knowledgable in his recommendations for a re-do that would look beautiful while staying within our budget. The job took just three weeks from start to finish, and Ryan kept us apprised via text message when to expect the next step in the project. Bad experience from the get go and unfortunately I have no idea if they are good or not. We were very disappointed in lack of organization and rude treatment by owner. He didn't let his tech know about our very first appointment. We waited all day until we called to check to see if he was coming. We were having to put our dogs in and out of their kennel all day long. So excuse me if on the next day when no one shows up all day until 4:30 if I check to see if they are really coming. He also wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise on a phone call and then sends me a very rude text because on the 2nd visit I'm not TRUSTING he will be there. Don't want to put the dogs in their kennel if no one is coming. And then he tears our backwash line and doesn't even let us know. Customer service is non-existent here. I chose them over other companies because of the good reviews and his passion for dogs. Obviously not a good reason and there weren't many reviews. Don't care if I'm advised they work from dawn to dusk, until the trust is built the customer should not be made to feel bad or not feel comfortable if they want to check in to see the status of arrival in the beginning of the working relationship and throughout. read more

When you are not handy and having an issue w/ something at your house, you're always worried somebody is going to rip you off.
