Well hello, Split Rock--you had us at first bite! We finally stopped in for lunch and honestly... where has this place been hiding?! The burger was outrageous--in the best way. Juicy, flavorful, stacked high with all the right stuff. I should've asked them to cut it in half, but noooo... I tried to be a hero and now my diet is somewhere crying in the corner. And don't even get me started on the coleslaw--fresh, light, and actually delicious. A rare combo that made me feel like maybe I wasn't completely misbehaving. The place is cute, clean, and cozy, and the service? Top notch. Like, "we actually care you're here" kind of energy. Funny enough, just last night we left another place mid-meal and ended up eating at home--so this lunch felt like a total redemption arc. First visit to Split Rock, but definitely not the last. Local gem unlocked.

Bacon burger 4/5 Well-made burger bacon was actually thick and you got a bite of it with each bite in the burger. The bun was kind of a pretzel bun, which was good. Good quality meat and juicy

Brought my wife and daughter to Split Rock for dinner Wednesday night. I was disappointed that they didn't have any ribeye. Odd that they would be out when it was barely 5:00. I'll call next time. I really wanted to try it out. I ended up ordering Salmon and the presentation was beautiful but I thought it was a bit dry. The place has been remodeled beautifully! 5 stars for how nice it looks inside! The appetizers were delicious! The owner was in his game serving and greeting everyone! Really a great little spot! First time here. I'm not a big salmon guy anyway and I'm sure if they had not been out of ribeye so early I would have given them a 5 star review. I'll be back again for sure. Nice little spot!

Horribly slow service. ..no follow through. Very marginal food. Not impressed. Not going back.

Really good food. The servers aren't all that amazing but there OK. Soy chai latte for $2 great deal!

I loved the Reuben sandwich! Great cozy atmosphere with friendly servers. Wish they had longer hours.

It would normally have grapefruit vodka in it, but I'm not a fan of vodka or any of its flavoring. The kind bartender substituted the alcohol to gin with a splash of grapefruit at no extra charge. I believe the bartender is the owner as it seemed to be a one man show. The same guy was our server, a bus boy, bartender, and our host! He was probably the cook too! Talk about wearing many hats! I ordered the golden and red beets with goat cheese for $12 and this came to the table looking like a colorful masterpiece. Every bite was delicious. The huckleberry creme brûlée was great! The huckleberries are hiding at the bottom of the ramiken. I'm a tourist and was on a mission to eat everything huckleberry and this dessert did not disappoint! It's a must try! My boyfriend ordered the wild mushroom crepe $16 which was roasted wild mushrooms, prosciutto and swiss cheese with mornay sauce. I thought the crepe was a little undercooked, but he absolutely loved it. I also thought it was a bit salty for my taste, but the mushrooms were tasty! I ordered the $16 grilled salmon and andouille sausage over spinach with tomatoes, fresh orange and red onion. I never heard of these two proteins together, but they make a dynamic duo! I'd like to say it's a warm salad and it was so good! The charred salmon was the star of this dish!

The service was excellent, Niko was our server. I enjoyed the caesar salad. Several people ordered the short rib and really liked it. The presentation of the food was good. The filet was really good. I really liked the 1/2 potatoes, it was really yummy. The portion size was good and the prices were as expected. Since we were in a side room, it was a bit quieter and had soft music playing.

I decided to try the Lychee Basil Martini- not too sweet or dry. I recommend this if you like a refreshing cocktail. Then I was torn because I had to try the poke! It just sounded delicious so my friends said they would have some too. 3 of us shared this and my picture was after we all took a little. (Oops) This was so delicious- don't miss eating the seaweed too! It was perfect pairing. I decided on the chicken because of the starter. And my friend said it was so tasty. My friend didn't lie! The spices used were outstanding. I normally don't order chicken in a restaurant but this is a definite thumbs up! Finally for dessert - the huckleberry Oreo mud pie. Pro tip: let it sit & melt for a few minutes because the flavors really come out the longer it sits! Dinner fabulous We didn't make a reservation & got lucky they had a table open. Wait staff was very helpful and nice. Prices - very fair especially for a fine dining restaurant. I hope to return the next time I visit my friends. As my first trip to Montana I loved it and can't wait to return.
