    Al capone's beef soup

We were recommended this place while visiting New Orleans by a Chicago native we met. I am surprised that I lived in the neighborhood for so long and never stopped in! The interior is very small and crowded but that just means you know the food is good. We got the weekend special (Art Parmfunkel), hot-n-ready boudin links, the SMOKIN sandwich and some frozen soups to go. The Art Parmfunkel was delicious and packed with flavor, I would definitely get again if this was an addition to their full time menu. The smokin sandwich was also packed with flavor and it was nice to try boudin links in Chicago as we did not get to experience them in Louisiana. Very happy to have found this restaurant and we can't wait to try our frozen Al Capone soup and gumbo.

Super adorable and cute inside, great vibes. The black coffee was good, the lattes were kinda meh and expensive. I got the pep rally sandwich and is was lacking flavor. It was spicy but that was all I was getting from it. Save yourself some money and get a bagel or wrap those looked really good! My boyfriend got the bacon egg and cheese bagel and he said it was alright, kinda dry but good bacon. That being said I would go back! It was super cozy inside. And the staff were super nice!

Sprinkle donut. Egg and cream cheese sandwich on everything bagel. NOLA coffee

So the food is objectively tasty, especially the donut. The service can't be topped; they make you feel very at home. The ambiance is great and cozy, so that's a plus. However, the prices are why she gets 4/5 stars. I mean, $30 for a bagel sammy, NOLA coffee, and a donut is actually insane. The bagel sandwich was also nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere was super cute and cozy inside. The service was very fast and baristas were super friendly! I think it is overpriced for what you get: I got the bernie sub hummus instead of mustard with mayo on the side and they put mustard and mayo on it with no hummus: didn't realize till I had already left with my sandwich :/ My chai was very pretty but way too milky and lacked flavor. My sister got the pep rally and ours basically tasted the same: they need avocado or something on it to make it more substantial. For 4 people who got coffees and a sammy/or yogurt our bill was $85 which seemed expensive for a cafe. I would go back again but you are paying sit down delicious restaurant prices for more casual place with meh food.

Always good breakfast and lunch at this Ravenswood spot under the L. I am always up for their specials but my favorite is the breakfast sandwich made with boudin. They have house made pickled veggies that are great as well. Super customer service in this small restaurant.

Very very nice workers and cute ambiance inside - just not much seating. Street parking only but lots of meters around. Solid sandwiches but not very big for how much they are. Will say the servers truly go above and beyond.

Do they offer any seating (indoor or outdoor) right now?

    Indoor

Does Spoken have gluten free bagels? I used to come here, but haven't since going gluten free. I'm not sure if I can start returning and at least get good cream cheese!

No I'm pretty sure they don't.

My daughter asked to come here so we came downtown on a Friday around 7:30pm and it was pretty crowded, but by it only being two of us our wait time was less than 10 minutes. Once seated you scan the QR code to look over the menu and once decided you go to one counter to place your food order and the bar to place your drink order, they then bring your food to the table and our food came pretty quick after ordering. Bib on, gloves on, time to dig in... My daughter ordered the bag with shrimp, crab legs, corn and potatoes and I ordered lobster tails, corn and potatoes and two lemonades (lemonades were delicious!) We ordered our food with the everythang sauce (which is a mix of all their sauces) and it was really good and really flavorful. Messy is to be expected but surprisingly the food mess was manageable and did not take away from my dining experience. The amount of crab legs in my bag to me did not justify $32 and if it wasn't for the potatoes and two corns I'm sure I would of still been hungry. Seafood boils are not a cheap experience neither, our meals with the two lemonades and no alcohol was $110, so definitely not an every weekend dining option, but leaving I did see on their info board that their shrimp, crab bags are $28 Monday - Thursday and they look to have a pretty good happy hour so this might be a reason for a quicker return. Overall my experience was pretty good.

The chicken was delicious and the pancakes were out of this world. Similar to some of the other comments, it would be nice to first come in, sit down, get relax then have someone take your order when dining in. However you place your order at the front door and then can sit down. The customer service lacked tremendously from the youthful stuff(late teens/very early 20's) But I will say the most underwhelming thing about this experience was the building. Inside & out it was very primitive & just flat out old. I know they just moved from another location and looking to get their foot in the door. But hopefully a renovation is in the plans. The inside is a bit of an eye soar. Needless to say, I would come back if in the area because of the food. But I wouldn't go out of my way patronize them.
