    Al capone's beef soup

We were recommended this place while visiting New Orleans by a Chicago native we met. I am surprised that I lived in the neighborhood for so long and never stopped in! The interior is very small and crowded but that just means you know the food is good. We got the weekend special (Art Parmfunkel), hot-n-ready boudin links, the SMOKIN sandwich and some frozen soups to go. The Art Parmfunkel was delicious and packed with flavor, I would definitely get again if this was an addition to their full time menu. The smokin sandwich was also packed with flavor and it was nice to try boudin links in Chicago as we did not get to experience them in Louisiana. Very happy to have found this restaurant and we can't wait to try our frozen Al Capone soup and gumbo.

    The pep rally

Super adorable and cute inside, great vibes. The black coffee was good, the lattes were kinda meh and expensive. I got the pep rally sandwich and is was lacking flavor. It was spicy but that was all I was getting from it. Save yourself some money and get a bagel or wrap those looked really good! My boyfriend got the bacon egg and cheese bagel and he said it was alright, kinda dry but good bacon. That being said I would go back! It was super cozy inside. And the staff were super nice!

Sprinkle donut. Egg and cream cheese sandwich on everything bagel. NOLA coffee

So the food is objectively tasty, especially the donut. The service can't be topped; they make you feel very at home. The ambiance is great and cozy, so that's a plus. However, the prices are why she gets 4/5 stars. I mean, $30 for a bagel sammy, NOLA coffee, and a donut is actually insane. The bagel sandwich was also nothing to write home about.

The atmosphere was super cute and cozy inside. The service was very fast and baristas were super friendly! I think it is overpriced for what you get: I got the bernie sub hummus instead of mustard with mayo on the side and they put mustard and mayo on it with no hummus: didn't realize till I had already left with my sandwich :/ My chai was very pretty but way too milky and lacked flavor. My sister got the pep rally and ours basically tasted the same: they need avocado or something on it to make it more substantial. For 4 people who got coffees and a sammy/or yogurt our bill was $85 which seemed expensive for a cafe. I would go back again but you are paying sit down delicious restaurant prices for more casual place with meh food.

Always good breakfast and lunch at this Ravenswood spot under the L. I am always up for their specials but my favorite is the breakfast sandwich made with boudin. They have house made pickled veggies that are great as well. Super customer service in this small restaurant.

Very very nice workers and cute ambiance inside - just not much seating. Street parking only but lots of meters around. Solid sandwiches but not very big for how much they are. Will say the servers truly go above and beyond.

Excellent food. Super fresh. Had the All Day Breakfast Sandwich and have been back a few times. Well located and fairly easy to park.

Do they offer any seating (indoor or outdoor) right now?

    Indoor

Does Spoken have gluten free bagels? I used to come here, but haven't since going gluten free. I'm not sure if I can start returning and at least get good cream cheese!

No I'm pretty sure they don't.

The murals were incredible!!especially the Candyman one, which was a real highlight. I stopped by on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy, which made for a really relaxing experience. I tried the Skull Island latte, and it was super delicious. They have a fantastic selection of other coffee house drinks and pastries as well. The staff was super friendly, and the facilities were great, too. I appreciated that they have two gender-neutral restrooms (one equipped with a urinal and the other with a changing table), and there's even a small merchandise rack if you want to pick up a spooky souvenir on your way out. I can't wait to go back and try more of their menu! Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was okay, but the sweetener had a funny taste to it I'm not sure it was homemade, they did have a lot of options to choose from though. After a while the drink was melting there ended up being funny white stuff that coagulated at the top of the cup which freaked me out a bit. I'm not sure if it was syrup or something from the ice, but after that I couldn't finish it.

I don't know what sorcery they are using to bake these scones, but they are not your average dry, flaky pastry. They are moist, gooey, huge, heavy on flavors and ingredients, and always delicious. I'm tempted to ask the owner to start texting me the scone flavors of the day so I never miss my favorites. Top 5 scones: - Peaches and cream - Cherry chocolate - Vanilla chai and/or vanilla rosemary (can't pick) - Lemon ginger - Chocolate caramel pecan Obviously I'm a sweet pastry person, but they also always have a couple of savory options like ham jalapeño cheddar, goat cheese, etc. I had one that was like blackberry habanero one time?? So good and so unique. Thank you, Ritual, for always feeding me scones :)

I took a sip. Yuck! I waited a few minutes, thinking, maybe it wasn't THAT bad, and tried another sip. Yuck! On my way out, I brought my drink back to the counter. It was still warm. I told the guy that the drink was terrible, that it tasted like warmed up Hersheys syrup. He took my drink and said, "Oh I'm sorry about that." I paused a second; he had nothing else to say. He didn't offer to make me a new drink. Didn't offer a pastry. Didn't offer a refund. I'm out $6 and I did not get to enjoy a treat. We're urged to support local, but experiences like this remind me why I like to go to the consistent chain that ALWAYS remakes my drink if there's a problem (which their rarely is), no questions asked. Totally disappointing. Would not go back because my drink was terrible and the customer service didn't exist.
