So happy we were able to come here! The shop is great for meat eaters and also vegans! There's a whole separate vegan menu that you can find online and is available on request at the restaurant.  Meat Sandwiches: The taste Chicago was really hardy - the breast was soft and crunchy, the hot peppers definitely added some really good spice, and motradella didn't feel super fatty. We also got the Reuben - the 1000 island dressing was not overpowering, there was plenty if turkey, and the sourdough was also so good! Vegan Sandwiches: The vegan BLTA was very yummy according to our vegan friends - they said the seitan was nicely seasoned and the garlic aoili was really good. They also opted into getting a bagel with vegan cream cheese + the basil pesto. The coffee was great! The ube latte was a little sweet for my liking but the espresso they use is great.  The service was quick and the server was super nice/chill! The cafe itself has about 10ish tables and can be a great space to catch up with a friend or WFH with outlets around. What a fuckin' fantastic vegan menu. Normally I'd go on and on listing all kinds of mouthwatering options but there's just too much. They have vegan cream cheese, Just Egg, a few vegan meat options, and I think most of their spreads and aiolis are plant based, too. Use your imagination, be creative. Really cute vibe. Super bright corner location with a sweet little patio. Bustling with a lot of energy. Extra credit for playing 90's hip hop while we were there. I hadn't heard some of those 2Pac songs in a long time. If you look at the older photos and think, "Justin, this doesn't look like a corner spot, and there's no patio..." it's because I think they relocated here recently. Friendliness from their crew all over the place as they handled a brunch rush like it was no big deal. Shoutout to their coleslaw just because it's so delicious. A few local beers available and a solid coffee/espresso menu with some snazzy drinks, like the Salted Maple Latte. This was like a 30-minute drive for me, but totally worth it. Any closer and I'd be here a few times a week. Great neighborhood, people out and about everywhere, it's just overall a great spot. LOVE IT! read more

I am obsessed with this place and have become a regular ! I've tried a few things on the menu, but this is my typical order: the hippie bagel sandwich (with vegan cream cheese) and the iced salted maple latte with oat milk. It's fresh, delicious, and healthy! I loveeee how they have multiple vegan and gluten free options!! They also changed the menu recently and added more options, which I appreciate. The vibes of the location are lovely: fun, upbeat music inside, and an adorable patio with tables and umbrellas outside. There's also a window from the outside where you can order and pick up food if you're walking your dog or something. The staff have always been friendly. Solid neighborhood coffee shop on Lincoln across from Trader Joe's. Easy in and out with online ordering available. Big selection. I had an everything bagel with sausage egg and cheese. This place knows how to do a rebrand so well. I honestly didn't love their spot on lincoln/addison - but Mimi's is great! As an NJ native, their bagels are solid (as far as a coffee shop bagel goes) and I enjoyed the cold brew. One warning- the taste of chicago sandwich has hot gardineira, not listed on the online menu. So if you don't want a ton of spice i'd ask for it on the side. But overall super solid and cute inside read more

What a cute little place! I've driven by here countless times and finally made it in, and I was not disappointed. I had the Hippie bagel, which had the perfect topping to bagel ratio. It's so cozy, inviting, and warm, and the vegan options are plentiful, like cookies, cupcakes, granola bars, stuffed dates, avocado toast, coconut yogurt parfaits with house granola, and more. Wow, what a tasty little gem of a restaurant. My son and I got the Stanley Tucci and we both loved it. I got mine on the gluten free bagel. The bagel was sooo good that I wondered if it was gluten free. The texture was not like that of a typical gluten free bread. It reminded me of my good ole days when I was gluten free. I can't wait to go back. I will be getting that the next time I'm near the restaurant (I live far away, so won't be going super regularly). The staff were great. I received excellent service. I wanted to love this place, I really did. It's local and I like that they offer vegan options even though we are a mix household. And to be fair I did not try their coffee so it's very possible they make great coffee. In terms of food, it fell flat and the portions left me hungry (especially for the price). The bagel sandwich and the sourdough grilled cheese were tough to chew, too hard and flavorless. The microgreens were the only redeeming factor, they were fresh and crunchy. Everything else was meh. I thought the clementine as a side w the sandwiches was a nice touch. But, sadly in times of inflation where we have to choose our take out wisely, it was forgettable and not worth the price for us. Alright. This is a comparison. I'm staring with one coffee spot, then highlighting this spot. It's Friday morning. I went out for a stroll. Thought I'd check out this new booshie barista spot on the corner of Addison and Lincoln. Don't remember its name. Still- I saw hardworking pastry chefs and baristas. They were kind and attentive. It was packed with couples, moms & kids, travelers, and roudy chicago mingling. Shoulder to shoulder. Getting through the line was awkward. I'm sure it's not always like this, but it was easy to see the discomfort in almost everyone there. Watching open seats like hawks. Granted, the pastry was delicious. These are two different places, different purposes. But I saw people there who I know would rather be somewhere else. Then I walked north no more than one block. I hit this place. When I think coffee shop, I think AM community space. In the same way a pub is the PM community space. I'm not going to spend much, I'm going to be at a space that extends a hand out. Compliments the needs of its community. A place that's just chill. This Friday morning had one couple chatting. Plenty of seating, books, bagels, a printer, a record player, a charming market, and even a craft cart for kids. People tend to gravitate to shiny and new, but most of us want community chill. The owners name is Mary. The refreshing and light hippie bagel sandwich was delicious, sidecar'd with an organic clementine. The bagel is freshly sourced from New York Bagel and Bialy. Stop getting hooked by minimalist booshie barista latte art traps if you want something else. The cappuccino will taste the same. Go somewhere where Fleetwoods playing, and there's a cozy couch like this place. read more

Stopped by this cafe to get some work done and I'm so glad I did! I got a cappuccino and the pb stuffed chocolate covered dates! The drink was great and rhI dates were such a tasty treat, the touch of sea salt really brought it all together. The environment is cozy with lots of different seating options -tables, counter, couches, and the music is a god volume. Staff were friendly as well! Found this place after leaving Loba empty handed as they do not serve decaf espresso or decaf drip coffee. I am glad I did as this place has plenty of places to sit and chat or tables to work and read. The barista was super friendly, and made the experience. The decaf latte was delicious and way better than Loba (comparing from when I drank regular coffee). I am looking forward to coming back to try their food options and drink another delicious decaf latte. read more
