I am 52 years old ... I've been seeing a chiro since I'm ten Years old. When moving to Arizona,…read moreI asked for many recommendations and each one I saw was very disappointing. Chiropractors out here feel like an insurance scam. When I found Dr Hoffmeir that changed. He is so good. He really knows the body. They spend a lot of time with you .. they have a physical therapy area and order a ton of options in getting you back to feeling good

About this time a year and a half ago, I was limping in (sideways, crooked, and with painful spasms) to West Valley Wellness and Rehab with a bad back. About that time, I was visiting the hospital about once a month due to horrible, debilitating back spasms. My doctors, general practitioner, and a host of other current and potential doctors, surgeons and medical professionals all concluded that I should get used to "Pain Management". For you n00bs, that means ""lots of medicine". And the pharmaceutical companies rejoiced!! Unfortunately, I have a job that requires me to be alert, so that wasn't an option. Rather than mask the pain, I wanted to heal the injury. This is a philosophy shared by West Valley Wellness. What got me interested in West Valley Wellness and Rehab was they have a procedure called "Manipulation Under Anesthesia" (MUA) that I read about and wanted to see if I was a candidate. I qualified, and over several months, this gave me the physical ability to work out and build my core, muscle base and get confidence to get back on my feet for longer periods of time. It didn't hurt, and I have more mobility now than I had when I was 20. Long story short, I came in broken and am now doing great. At West Valley Wellness, not only did I train, but I just ran my first Mud Run with 3 other patients in November 2013 (It was a 5K). When I first arrived, and for years prior to that, I couldn't walk two blocks down my own street. Dr. Jason Nielson - at least in my view - is a true lifesaver and I continue to see him regularly for help with working out, getting "cracked" (adjusted) and when I have trouble with my back. That, and his staff cares. They're friendly. The facility is clean. Out of about 6 places in the West Valley that I've visited, this is the only one that has shown results. I recommend them and .. well, maybe I'll see you there.

Just like previous patients, I encountered a rude, condescending, bitter tiny receptionist. I said…read morehello because she obviously wasn't going to greet me. She was in the middle of a funny gossip fest with her coworker. Turned to look at me with no greeting after mine, and changing her expression to a very serious angry face, she said: name. I answered with a smile to show that I wasn't there to upset her very sad low life. As she checked my name in, she turned to her coworker again and it was instant smile and gossip about her situation. Again turns to me, flat angry face because I obviously interrupted her gossip time, hands me a clip board and with no further words, turns back to her story. I, being a client of over 2 years already know I have to fill out paperwork. But, if I was a new client, I would have been mad with the service. Thankfully my physician is great and friendly and caring. On my way out I made sure I walked over to the other coworker, with glasses, she was friendlier and at least said thank you to me when I handed over the clip board. She even asked questions for follow ups and wished me a good day. Now, even though she was the one talking with the rude unprofessional one before, at least she did her job when approached. I should give it less stars, but like I said, Todd is great. The other Doctor rushes you too much but Todd is on it. After 2 years, gota pick my battles.

After 4 months of not getting any help(pain continued) changed Pain Clinics and within 1 hour was diagnosed what the problem was, series of appointments set up, problem solved . High turnover of staff (PA'S) never saw the same ones twice. I would never go back there again.

So this is my second time through a round a PT here at this location. It's my shoulder this time,…read more but last year it was my knee after surgery. I have to give the employees at this location a 5. They care about helping their patients get better and learn how to keep progressing at home after therapy is over. The PTs and PTAs that I have had assigned to me have all been polite and knowledgeable. I even forgot my to go cup there one week and they went out of their way to keep it several days for me until my next session (that's above and beyond as it would have been easier on them to throw it away. It was even rinsed out). Equipment all appears in working order and is kept clean. The front desk staff are also very competent and great to work with. Here are the downsides (which in my opinion are mgt issues outside of the control of this PT location so I didn't ding their review: They are busy as in it takes 3-4 months from referral (even from their own doctors) to evaluation. They do prioritize surgery patients (so no wait time there) and took can take your referral for PT where ever but that seemed liked more work for me than waiting and I couldn't be bothered this time. You can't call the PT desk directly...and that's annoying... you have to call the CORE main number and eventually you get transferred to them (this does take more than 15 min usually so hang in there!) All in all I would use this location and core again for PT, once you get in.... they are great.
